Hey Bernd. I got a bit worried when I saw the title, thinking you were opening a prop firm. You know, those are usually B-book, and given you're an educator, I was concerned about a conflict of interest. But I'm relieved you're sticking to your integrity, unlike those fake gurus out there. We need more folks like you in trading, honest and upfront, not like those who only come clean when they're caught red-handed. And seriously, less of those influencers who trash talk college saying it's a scam while pulling scams themselves. Oh, and a video on fundamental analysis for beginner currency traders would be awesome! Please make it sometime soon Bernd. You're the only one I trust in this space!
I fully agree with you, as I said in the video it’s a MASSIVE conflict of interest! I will always stick to my integrity, that’s one of the reasons why I joined RU-vid…I cannot listen to all the BS out there, drives me nuts! I will do more videos regarding fundamentals yes. One video at a time 🫶🤝
bro here is the best idea model for prop firms == a firm where max loss is 10% and even max profit is 10% !!!??? once max profit of 10% is achieved with the accnt then it will be expired and the accnt holder has to take the challnge again but for free the same accnt size !!!,most of the rules will be same with those firms except you need to add those !!! because many people buy multiple accnt n try flipping if profit then 10% plus profit kills the prop firm sustainibility so MAX PROFIT MUST BE ADDED this way we can filter real skilled traders n more sustainable business for firms

I agree completely with the logic of your hybrid model. Just also be careful with the A-Book approach - the way that you describe it is 100% (especially with the hybrid split of traders), but I've noticed that the limited Prop firms that currently offer A-Book, add in ridiculuous "consistency" rules that are so seriously lacking in transparency and clearly designed to fail good traders - models like that are actually worse than any B-book. That said, I like your approach and your integrity in trying to shape the way forward.
If you launching prop with that idea I think that would be great for this industry most of the traders use propfirms with a doubt we really cant trust thoes propfirm models If you going to launch a prop firm we wish you nothing but best ❤
I acknowledge your transparency about your situation. It is very useful with the scenario I am currently right now, I am contemplating on whether I enter or not into a prop firm. The only thing that set me back is the fact that it is still a business.
That's a tough one, man. Good on you for sticking to your plan though - the prop industry is a bit crazy right now, and I expect it will look very prudent in hindsight for you to hold off until you can find a technology provider willing to do the model you wanted
Ultimately I think it was a good decision! In hindsight stopping the project for now was definitely the better decision, although we lost a lot of money. But the industry is a mess right now!
Bernd, as a student i am proud to be a part of online campus and you've showed me once again that i've made right choice to study with the online campus family. as you know there a lot of prop firms out there and the numbers are online growing. some are legit but a lot is not so legimate. is is possible that you can make a video of legimate prop firm or the ones that you atleast trust to recommend to your student and your audience.
Pure respect for this man! The trading space really doesn't need anymore money diggers. A-book model obviously can also make money from the spread or commissions, and is also very valid profitable model. How could it be that they have risk management issues on this? Like, what? I would very comfortably assume that there are more things unrevealed under the water. Yeah I got the sympathy of feeling the scam too.
Because you cannot A-Book everyone who passes a challenge. Still a lot of traders will wipe out their accounts when getting funded. Not many can stay consistent.

In a hedge fund business model they have 20+2 split for an established company. That is hedge fund gets 20% of monthly profits, plus 2% maintenance fee. L'problem with that is that one bad month and investors are gone, so you have to have a sales team that is constantly chasing new investors. Another thing is that hedge fund contracts require that hedge fund invests 20% of its own money into the same trades as investor's money goes in. Just one extra way for investor to cover his back. So, large part of that 22% goes on a ton of expenses, and traders won't get much, I think around 15%. Far cry from 80% in a prop-firms. On a plus side around 240,000 millionaires live in London, and around 300,000+ millionaires live in New York. So market is huge! But, since both UK and US want to protect these lucrative markets, legal fees are much higher then $20,000. For hedge fund that is just starting, no track record etc. it would be less, maybe 10% or whatever you negotiate.

Campus so far looks great but don't prop firms earn money from people failing the prop firm challenges? Having a campus that teaches you NOT to fail and a prop firm that counts on you failing seems like a conflict of interests. Or am I missing something?
Yes 100% correct. With your approach and win rate, students are probably better off starting with a live €1,000 account instead of a B-book €100K account. Even if they risk 5% and 10% per trade, it’s more secure than B-book prop-firms it seems 🤷🏻♂️ at least if you think in terms of probabilities and flipping that small account with your approach and trading style. It would be great to see an A-book firm from you for consistently profitable traders. Thank you. 👍🏻
thank you for your videos. although our trading styles are different, it’s refreshing to see someone who’s actually a humble successful traders not like these other kid scammers on the media. if you make a prop firm i suggested having a max 15/20 % profit of the account size for the larger accounts. that way it’ll reduce the number of funded gamblers and produce consistent traders and guarantee those traders a pay out every single time instead of other firms who deny a pay out if it’s to large.
I think what your telling us Bernd is a sure fire way to clean-up or (clean-out) all the dodgy B-Book model prop firms in the prop firm space!!! Imagine your competition if you where to build and operate the first fully transparent HYBRID model. I personally think you should build your own SAAS prop firm technology company & then deploy your own & the first legitimate Hybrid prop firm in the space!! 👍

That’s true! But still needs a proper solution. And most solutions are solely based on B booking trader betting on them to lose. I want to trade under my own firm as well 😄
I think in order to launch a viable successful A-book model prop firm the profit splits need to be changed to maybe 50% 50% or as low as 15% to a trader no sane billionaire businessman will invest their capital only to give a trader 90% of the profit and this in itself is the first red flag on those B-book prop firms that sometimes don't payout.
Doesnt need to be 50-50, with current models 80-20 can still be successful for businesses. There can be 2 stream of revenues. Revenue from failing challenges and Revenue from successful traders. And that way cost will be reduced to workers only.
I have always wondered about the conflict of interest between "guru" mentors and their ownership of prop firms , thank you Bernd truely for the transparency and having a moral compus, the trading space needs more people like you to make it clean, safe and put all the scammers out of business

So what i suggest is replace the tech company i think there are more tech companies which can help you for the hybrid model, and we also want to trade under your prop firm as you are legit and also some student want to earn and trade full time like me so we hope can learn while slowly trade to earn a full time income and slowly transition into full.time trader added that nowadays seem all prop firm are mainly b book. FTMO claim they have hybrid model based on their own statement that they a-book your trades, on discretion, on their corporate account. So if you are meeting their criteria as profitable trader, they will a-book you.

When joining the Campus. Are the indicators you use a must for your strategy? Or do the students also learn to trade "old school" without the modern indicators? I am thinking about joining the campus. But I don't want to be dependent on the indicators. One day they might not exist and then I can't trade anymore. I don't like that. So are students also able to trade without them? Or are they essential?

i think the main issue is th liquidity for A book system. it will need a lot of cash readdy in hand in order to execute that system. perhaps we need a new system wheere the money is gathhered with public funding.so million normal people can add a funding together and then distributed to those profitable trader. then split the profit affterward. a new system other than shady demo b book" prop firm
It requires a lot of knowledge to build a hybrid model. We are still exploring the field for potential solutions. But as you said a shady B book model for me will not work.
good idea , pool the capital and go to real market , profit splits doesn't have to be 10/90 , it can be 40/60 or whatever works..... @berndskorpinski is near DIFC , consult with hedge fund managers and they would give a solution , if Dubai can pull VARA so can you pull a real prop firm :)

Hey Bernd, what's on opinion on the 5ers? From my understanding they do have a similar business model to what you're proposing, because they do fund you with live capital from the firms equity, and traders have the opportunity to scale to an eventual 100% profit split with salary & bonuses on the A-book, because they will be copying 100% of your trades at that point. Also, with that being said, you seem like a trust worthy fella that does business the right way, and I would definitely interested in trading with your firm if you started one. I doubt you would risk your reputation and do any shady business.
I cannot take 5%ers serious...they are buying fake RU-vid comments, and were spamming a lot of my previous videos with comments how good they are. This is disgusting in my opinion.
@@berndskorupinski I understand what you're saying, I just trust them because they have a lot of the characteristics that you mentioned in the video, the rest of the propfirms operate as online casinos in my opinion. But FTMO has profected that business model and do have their in house tech and pay traders. Alpha Capital seems legit too.

They recently made a partenership with another real prop firm. So as far as I can say they are giving the opportunity to consistent traders to go that route of trading real money.
To be fair if many people are profitable. How will you pay them out? That is the question. Meaning got to use live funds with them trading it. But that in itself is risky and needs a platform with strict rules.

They will not stay in business if they only offer A-book. Prop firms have to make money and they are giving retail traders opportunities to make money. If they are not good at trading then that is on them and there is nothing wrong with B-book. That's the business side of this. The whole business model needs to change. I recommend that someone create a forex trading bootcamp where all traders are put through a school for maybe 4-6 weeks and they must complete the assignments, pass the tests, and then get onboarded to a paper trading account. After eight weeks of that, then they can trade live using $2.000 of their own money and more leverage provided by the firm. The first $2,000 in losses will close the account and the trader will go back to school. This is the only way to keep things A-book.
It's definitely important for prop firms to balance their business needs with providing opportunities for retail traders. Your suggestion for a trading bootcamp sounds like a great way to improve trader skills and accountability.

the only thing that make us believe that A-book story, is to wrote it in the website that there is a simulation account and there is A-book account any thing else we hear a lot. the problem is we follow and respect the roles and when we succeed the manipulation start ( to kick us out of the prop ) that not fair at all. the prop industry got a bad fame now.

Yes that’s a no go for me. And to be honest I don’t understand that. That’s a big limiting factor and that’s why I would avoid futures prop firm at the moment.
