Thanks for watching everyone, I massively appreciate the support! I have a huge favour to ask, if anyone can help organise permission for me to fish anywhere private, interesting or different I would be really grateful! As you can imagine it’s really tough to keep finding these places, but I really really want to keep bringing you all better and better videos. Ask around, and give me a message. Any opportunities considered, happy to pay well !
Have you done The Duggie? (River Douglas) There are some stunning spots on The Duggie. 1 Place I keep looking at is the back of the Capitol Center in Preston. Just behind it, there is a river that goes into the Ribble and looks like a superb place for Barbel.
"It's FULL of some of the most incredible looking fish I have ever caught..." I am from the States. The reason I watch your channel is because I have never caught a Brown Trout, and I have caught a lot of Trout. What I have caught is only Rainbow Trout, not that I am complaining either, they are beautiful fish also. The Brown Trout you caught today were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen you catch, except for some smaller ones you caught in a mountain lake. My dad caught a lot of Trout when he was alive, and I did see him catch one Brown Trout 14 1/2" long in Yellowstone National Park, the rest Rainbow Trout...frankly, both beautiful fish! Thank you!
You have Brown Trout in the States; I'm just not sure where. If you can get in touch with 618Fishing, he knows where to go for something called McCloud(or McLeod) strain Rainbow Trout.
Canada. After a visit here when I was 12 salmon fishing really inspired me to make this move a dream of mine. I am no 43 years on still living the dream. Continued success.
Top Fishing mate loverly size Trout and Redys back home i specialise in Trout fishing over the years I have landed some fairly big ones. I usually fish with coarse float Rods with live baits and 2kg line. Regards Laurie. From down under. Tight Lines.
Brilliant video George. Shame that bigger trout came off. Some beautiful colours on that perch. I love the fact that the same species of fish can look very different in different waters.
now then, buddy. Hope you and the family are well. That looks an absolute cracking little spot. Trout and perch. !!!!!! My kind of Fishing ………. The colours on their Fish were absolutely on point aswell my lad …. love it 👍👍😁😁🎣🎣
Hi George, I live near an estate that has a private Trout lake it belongs to Packington Estates in Meriden, England and is a beautiful venue. Good luck. Liam.
Growing up in the UK, I remember skipping school to fish the local spots and catching your typical course fish. Then I went off to America and was fishing a lake when a bloke put a bucket next to me when he seen me reeling in a bass. I was confused for a second or two before I realised that he thought I'd forgotten my bucket to keep the fish I caught to eat. Completely alien to me by experience, but it all made sense when we hit the BBQ and I had this weird existential crisis about the goal of fishing 🤣 I'm planing on taking my kids on their first fishing day Monday. A bit of beach casting, as I still want to eat what I catch and show the kids a different way of securing food that isn't battery farmed.
Nice video as always, George! I'd love to see you fish here again - seems like there's some incredible trout in there. I could happily watch a longer (20 - 30 mins) edit with more GoPro footage to get a sense of the whole session - it's relaxing to watch even if you're not catching. I know how much effort goes into making videos like this though (having tried myself haha) so understand why you might want to keep them shorter!
Love your videos! A couple of comments….. when you have a tactic that is working don’t change! When you are fighting a fish that likes to jump keep the rod tip low if not immersed in the water, this minimizes its ability to jump and consequently improves your chances of landing the fish. Awesome channel and yes i am subscribed. Tight lines!
New to fishing and have been loving float river fishing. All the rods though in your links are for lure fishing. Any suggestions for float stuff? Love the videos
Hi! Just realised where this is! I would absolutely love to fish here, very jealous! If you ever want to go fishing at another spot above a Mill weir in Lancashire that NEVER gets fished - let me know 👍🏻 I’ll sort it with the land owner.
Love your videos and contant mate, im a an avid Fly fisherman however im looking at buying a R&R rod setup for me and my 15 YO son whom im trying to get into fishing, which rod set up would you recommend, looking at trout, pike, perch and whatever i can pull out of lakes, rivers or canals in cheshire
Thanks for watching mate! The X5 adventure is definitely the one you want, sensitive enough to be great fun for the smaller species but with the short tip, plenty strong enough for a decent size pike! You can get is as a standalone rod or with reels included. Both in stock on www.adventurefishinguk.com
Which rod was George using ? My fish rig 180 is due to be getting delivered tomorrow, I have the x5 already. I shouldn’t really be looking at buying another but that rod definitely looks appealing 😂 nice video by the way, I’d love to to be able to lure fish for trout and perch in some ponds but finding it hard to find waters near me that aren’t fly only.
@@adventurefishingukcheers for your response, I was watching an older video of yours the other day where you fished for pike on the canal. I recognised a bridge you were casting under, me and my brother fished there and camped over on the campsite right next to it. Was a good spot that
Is there a reason you strike and play the fish with the rod low/to the side instead of striking upwards? Great videos by the way! Those trout looked incredible
It’s all part of my research mate! Trying to work on my the best technique, a lot of the time when you lose a trout, it’s when it jumps out and thrashes about. Holding your rod tip high can encourage it to jump more, and lower, less. I could have it all wrong though and as you can see in this video I did lose a couple!
Weird one. Clearing out stuff and came across an as new map of all the trout and salmon waters in the uk. A map with no roads! It's yours if you want it. Let me know and we'll figure our the details.
It looks a really great place. Personally I don't know why you're so obsessed with lure fished. If I'd been there after a perch I would have used a prawn fished on the bottom with a float. However each to his own.
There’s something about fishing with lures. No bait to mess about with and you’re constantly mobile, covering the whole stretch. I keep meaning to have a proper go with the float or ledger, maybe target barbel for a change. But sitting still is really difficult if you’ve not caught after 10 minutes!!
@@adventurefishinguk As I said each to his own but chucking a lure out all day definitely doesn't appeal to me. However I suppose that it does have some advantages sometimes! Thanks for replying.
@@tonycamplin8607 - chucking a lure is active, lots of walking too. I’ve got a desk job 5 days a week so sitting on my arse for hours on end at the weekend is something I’m really keen to avoid. But fair play to everyone fishing in their own way, even carp anglers!
We usually go together without filming! I’m not as confident being on camera like George is but maybe one day!🤞 (doesn’t stop me catching the better fish though)
