Ahhhh... I love biddies 👵🏻👴🏽! So sweet. I have the honour of looking after them at work. I want to smoosh most of them but I think I’d end up in trouble with my boss 😂 so made do with letting them chatter at me and reminding them they are still wonderful/beautiful/handsome 💚💛🧡

It’s amazing how you can live here in Japan for 10 years and you can still learn new things! I now must get that ice cream! Congratulations on the new apartment! Hope moving wasn’t too stressful. Bought a house and moved last year 😩 My kitties seemed very happy with the new place and I hope Maro is with yours.

Sendai is great! I have a couple of recommendations I think you'll love. First an "English" tea room with great carrot cake called Hampstead Tea Room, and a cat themed shop with a lot of stationary called Matatabido Cat Goods (even has a tiny door for cats!) Good luck with the move 🙂

Our long haired Maine Siamese mix King had super curly wavy hair on his underside. He'd also get crimpy on his top side after a bath. Love Maro's super chill blanket vibe. Good luck on the move. It's so nice to be near friends. Thanks for the look at Akita. I love unique ice cream and sake, so I'll be on the hunt for those cones and cafe when I make it North.

Congrats on the new apartment. Sad the bathroom isn't the same but I guess you're sacrificing the cool bathroom for a better everything else lol. The stationery sets are so pretty! I used to like buying some (and I still have them) but I don't have money to buy more now. The Pokemon stamps look really nice! I wish they were available worldwide or something. The rose-shaped ice cream looks pretty and delicious! The namahage kinda look cool. Have fun at your new place!

The monsters coming in to scare kids is probably a heck of a lot of fun. The Krampus run, combined with the opportunity to scare the bejeebees out of little kids is an awesome little tradition in Germany. My kids didn't like it very much when they were little but had a lot more fun when THEY got to play the Krampus and frighten the little kids instead.

I have a cat who has curly belly hair like that, too. No amount of brushing helps it, and he still gets tangles there, especially his "armpits"; the rest of his fur is very straight.

You're moving! Looking forward to seeing a different part of Japan! You can really see that connection of love you and Maro have. Sendai has a car night scene if you're ever interested. A bunch of people come together with their modified cars and just hang out, then get hushed away by the police later in the night. The police are pretty cool about it, which is nice.

I was in Japan during the summer/tsuyu and spent most of my time in the north Honshuu area. Went out on a few day trips with my host mom, and _oh my_ the hydrangea we saw. Some of the most gorgeous deep, saturated blues and intense purples I've ever seen on hydrangea... One other tsuyu feature I loved, which popped up at one point during my time there, and that I hadn't known about previous to this trip, was the "teru teru bouzu"(?). I was thinking "why are all these cute little ghosts being put up?" My host mom explained them. I now want to make them at home for rainy seasons xx
