Kept you waiting, huh?
In this video I get every single trophy in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1. Spanning 4 trophy lists, watch as I struggle and prevail through each one.
I apologize if the sound mixing is weird at times, but I tried my hardest to make this video the best it could possibly be! I’m open to doing more videos like this one in the future if you guys like it!
At the very least I hope this is a video you can turn on in the background while you do something else - maybe even when you’re getting some trophies yourself!?

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet(or maybe you find out later in the video, I’m only halfway through) but the reason the guard only took one tranq and was out immediately at 22:38 is because you shot him in the balls, which works because this is a hideo kojima game

I platinumed mgs4 and was never able to platinum any of the others besides peacewalker so it really shouldn't be that difficult. Tedious sure

@@tasteofowl it will definitely take a lot of time to plat peacewalker but it's easy. Just make sure you look up the hidden necessities online. Mgs4 is the opposite. Hard but once you're used to it the plat is a breeze and pretty fast I hope they bring back co-op in peacewalker. The boss fights are way more fun that way and there are even co-op items and weapons

I got the platium trophy for metal gear 1 & 2, mgs 3 and mgs 5. I plan on getting the trophy for MGS 1. However, I refuse to attempt MGS 2 😂😂Good video! I really enjoyed :)

@@JamieBayliss I don’t blame you for not attempting 2 lol! As you can see in the video I struggled a lot, but I left out so much for sake of time! That Big Boss Run is just BRUTAL! Along with the grind for the dog tags. A very, very lengthy platinum! However, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I hope you enjoy my future videos! I actually am currently editing my newest one and am nearly done with it! That one will be out either Friday or Saturday! But seriously, thank you! That seriously means so much! Comments like this is what makes me want to continue making videos! In fact - not even 20 minutes ago I earned the platinum for Dead Rising 2: OTR so I’ll start editing my video on that tomorrow! So expect more of this content soon, probably end of this week or next. I’m still finding my groove in making these videos - at times I feel this video feels too much like an essay, which I hope to avoid in the future. My biggest goal is to make the Trophy Hunting journey enjoyable even if you don’t love the game I’m playing! Hopefully I succeed on that goal. But I’m so glad you enjoyed and thanks for subscribing! @@Freelancer837 I agree, MGS3 has held up so well - in literally every single aspect. Especially the Subsistence release that is now widely available on modern consoles. Don’t get me wrong every Metal Gear Solid game has stood against the test of time gracefully, but MGS3 is on another level in that respect. Everyone should go out and play it now. The Remake is looking increasingly promising with each new detail coming out. However, while I feel it’s doing the best it can to capture the charm and style of the original, nothing will be able to top the original.

Rarely people put Mgs4 so high… yet I totally agree! I love each one nearly the same, all masterpieces… however mgs5 will always be last for me - as much as I love the game, the lack of cutscenes hurt it for me. In fact, some might dislike me for saying this - but I feel Death Stranding is better, especially in terms of story and cutscenes - felt much more like mgs 1-4… Maybe someday I’ll make a video on that game! Anyways enough of me ranting! Thanks for watching!

@@almighty7509 Sure thing! When you start up the MGS1 master collection version and are given the list of languages - you want to pick “Japanese”. Which might require an additional download when clicking on it. But when you enter this version of the game, there will be no difficulty selection screen. Instead it’ll just throw you into the game when you hit NEW GAME. Which the Japanese version of the game is the equivalent of the easy difficulty on the American version of the game. So once you start the Japanese version of the game, just go through it and follow the foxhound/big boss rank requirements! Hopefully that all makes sense!

I can't play the Japanese version of MGS 1. I got it for Christmas played in January and get the language packs. I hate it.

Well done on this Feat! now for master collection 2! I also got platinum for master collection, and MGS 2 was for me stupidly hard, if it had an extra save or 2 it may have been a little easier! So far Im 9/9 on all metal gear games and their platinum trophies. :)

Thank you, very much! I 100% agree - MGS2 is stupidly difficult all because of the save limit, being able to save even 10 times would have made it much easier. Congratulations though!! I’m now missing MGS4, Peace Walker, and Rising as of now! Hoping they all get included in VOL 2 and you best believe I’ll be back with a new video platting them! Whenever that time comes you can compare your experience to mine lol! Looks like Delta will be next though!

I’m really confused about the 25 hours of VR missions. It took me 3 hours and should take about that long. What went wrong?

@@Tomweldonsays I might have exaggerated a hair, but what happened was at launch - the VR missions trophy didn’t work if you did it on integral or normal US copy. So I ended up doing nearly all of them before finding that out, on the integral version. I didn’t mention it in the video because I felt it was dragging as it was. However, even with that all being said - in hindsight it probably took me closer to 20 hours. I consider myself a Metal Gear Veteran, but man I was struggling on a majority of them. I’ll blame it on no analog support lol. That all being said, I could never do them in 3 hours! I commend you for that!

Taking up too much of my time, so I figured I might as well make videos on it for other’s enjoyment if I continue down the path! Hopefully you enjoyed the video though! @@B.Grant207 I’m so glad you loved it! However, I do agree with you! My problem was trying to fit all the trophies in one video, while not making it, too long! This being my first video I was worried about the length. Now that I’ve done a few more, I can say I wish I would have made this video at least an hour and 20 long. So I could have discussed more areas more thoroughly… along with story a little more, but I refuse to spoil these masterpieces for anyone. But I will definitely try to skip less when Vol 2 arrives, along with Mgs Delta - that’ll be a long video for sure! I can’t wait! Thank you, so much for watching!

@@parrisdeluxe Glad you, enjoyed it! I don’t know if you’ve seen my newest video on the Dead Rising 1 platinum, but my next will be on Dead Rising 2: OTR. Then Dead Rising: Deluxe Remaster in end of September or early October! I might squeeze in a non Dead Rising video before that one though. Trust me though, there will be more Metal Gear videos in the future! Along with other variety of games. I’m finding it fun to go through some of my favorite games for now, but at some point I’ll definitely have Trophy Hunting videos on new games that I’ve never played before! However, I do agree challenge runs could be potentially cool! So I will definitely put that on the list of kinds of videos to do in the future!

I don’t blame you! TPP is a long one, I actually did the 100% twice, first on Xbox One back at launch. Then for platinum on PS4 a couple years later and if it has a new trophy list for Vol 2. I’ll be doing it all over again. However, it really is a tough one. I’d suggest you go back for it, but man the mission tasks are stupidly tedious at times.

@@NameInsertedHere I did see it! I’m VERY much looking forward to Vol. 2! Personally the games I want included are: - MGS 4 (this one needs to be included or I’ll be very disappointed) -MGS Peace Walker -MGSV (it’d be great to be included with PS5 enhancements) Those are the main 3 I need them to include. I’d also hope to see some of the non Kojima Games: -Metal Gear Acid 1&2 -Portable Ops -Metal Gear Rising If all of those are included then I’d be the happiest person on Earth! No matter what games are included I will be making videos on each of the games! Probably separate videos - instead of how I did for this video!

I would say that you did a great job, as a trophy hunter I am currently doing the Metal Gear Solid series and the only one's I am nervous about are Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Any advice would be good, in the mean time keep up the great work.

But yeah Metal Gear Solid 2 should have you nervous unfortunately, the Big Boss run is just ridiculously difficult. Although it’s doable, my bets advice is for you to use a guide for when to best save. Besides the Big Boss rank though, the platinum is just time consuming - just keep up persistence and you can do it! Good luck!

They definitely are difficult! However, I’ll recommend you attempt the BB run for 3! Due to the save limit, it’s manageable - I believe you can do it! Now mgs2 on the other hand… yeah. I mean you watched the video… I do not recommend that headache at all! Now others may disagree with me, but in my opinion it’s just overwhelmingly difficult! But thanks for watching! Hope you like my videos to come after this!

Unfortunately I did the Venom Snake game (mgsv) platinum back in 2018, but once Vol 2 comes I’ll do it again and every other game in that collection! I actually just finished Dead Rising 1’s platinum - so that’ll be my next video! Should be a fun one but a shorter video!

I got them all besides 4, PW & 5 and tbh MGS2 was much, MUCH harder than Rising was… In terms of difficulty and time, MGS2 makes MG Rising look like Nintendogs

No matter the difficulty I’ll definitely be doing Rising in the future, but I was worried it’d be harder than mgs2… which yeah you know how difficult that one is. Also I’ve actually don’t MGSV’s Plat and the 100% on Xbox years back. Such a fun list, I’ll definitely be doing it for a third time on this channel in the future. I definitely encourage you to give it a go, it’s a blast!

@@tasteofowl I woudn’t say it‘s easy, most troublesome are the VR Missions (honestly just 2-3 in particular) and S-Ranking all missions, which essentially means never getting hit once. The tricky part with S rank Revengance is not the bosses or the levels themselves it‘s more the fact that any minuscule ammount of damage will ruin the current level you‘re at so when some random guard shoots at you and does like 0.002 damage, you might not notice and screw up your ranking. Besides that it‘s not too difficult, quite fun and very short so there‘s that. If can manage to get the Platinum for MGS2 & MGSV then Rising will not be more than a really fun Challenge but still very much doable. Good luck 👍

I remember this being my third time getting the plat in 2 and 3, as they had trophies on psp and ps3. I wont ask to inflict Peace Walker on you on ps3... it will take years off your life

@@TheArmouryHD0 Congratulations! Those are all tough plats! I will 100% be doing Peace Walker when Master Collection Volume 2 releases… you gotten me worried though lol. Who knows when that’ll come though, but when it does I think I’ll make each game a separate video. Just so I can spend more time on each game!

@tasteofowl for sure! Give you time to prep. I'm a glutton for punishment and MGS would be my number 1 franchise. Hence the every game platinum thing. I wouldn't recommend revisitng the ps3 trophies unless you want those 1 or 2 different trophies like all dogs tags etc 🫠

@@TheArmouryHD0 yeah I don’t think I have it in me to go back and finish the ps3 lists lol. I’m currently doing Dead Rising 2: Off the Record plat for my next video and I’m 72% complete at the moment, but it’s causing me some problems. After I do this one I think it’s time to do an easier platinum lol.

You can unlock ghe infinity face paint by getting foxhound, too. If you didnt get foxhound you wouldn't have gotten it.

@@tasteofowl yup, I'm pretty sure the tsuchinoko option is intended for people who are playing on difficulties too low for a high enough rank to unlock it but it's so much more convenient that everyone does it instead

@@cordeliafrey9950 that makes a lot of sense! I knew that you could get the stealth by either 0 alerts OR getting all 64 Kerotans. So there also being 2 ways to get the infinity face paint seems obvious now! Thank you for taking the time to explain it - should be helpful for Delta!

You REALLY shouldn't include those controller sounds. Incredibly distracting and annoying. Use a proper mic to record reactions. But hat's off. MGS2 isn't easy to Plat.
