When I started planning my Wild Atlantic Way Ireland road trip, one of the places high on my list was the Ring of Kerry. I'd heard so much about it; beautiful scenery, good roads even for motorhomes and campervans and there was even a proper aire to enjoy.
However, somehow (and I'm still not sure how!) my ACTUAL trip around the Ring of Kerry involved:
Nearly writing off the motorhome!
Driving up another crazy mountain road- and nearly getting stuck
Sitting in an old whisky barrel while someone poured seaweed over me...
Frankly, I'm not sure which of the above is the worst, but I'm grateful that none of them were worse than they actually were! I hope you find the tips useful if you ever choose to visit the Ring of Kerry yourself.
