It is pretty bizarre to me that someone could lose their husband tragically and decide to go on social media the very same day to explain to strangers what is going on… I will never understand that.
Well... it doesn't matter IF u don't understand... no one cares that u Don't understand... we are supporting her... sometimes people reach out for help... this is part of HER grieving, NOT yours. So, GTFOH if u can't UNDERSTAND.

My heart goes out to you and your family. Your husband is there with you and will help you get through it. I lost my husband of 37 years of marriage almost 8 yrs ago. He was 53 and died of a heart attack. I wasn't there when he died. I know your pain, and you will grieve. You need to take it minute by minute, day by day. Try to stay busy as much as you can and keep your son close. It's going to be different because he will not be there physically, but you will in time get through it. Don't let people tell you to move on. You take your time. Took me 5 years to be somewhat normal. You will live again, you'll find the strength. You keep your husband memories deep in your heart. You will miss him every day, but tell yourself he's at peace and no longer suffering. That's what helps me till this day. RIP to your husband and hugs to you and your son. My condolences to you. ❤

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, Marina. I can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling but I hope you feel just how loved you are by all of us. I am sending so much love and healing your way. I haven’t lost a spouse, but I did lose my mom to mental illness and watching my dad go through the healing journey was a… journey. Therapy, grief counseling, support groups, and surrounding ourselves with people and things that remind us of her and celebrating the life she had have helped us immensely. For my dad and I, we found it was really helpful to fully embrace each of the stages of grief and give them the time and space they needed. The pain of the loss never went away, but it hurts a hell of a lot less. Knowing she was finally at peace and no longer tortured by her mind was a huge help to my healing. You are so strong, you’re a great mom, and you’re an incredible human being. We won’t let your channel fall! ♥️♥️♥️

I know losing a husband is entirely different, but his passing left a huge hole in my heart. Please allow yourself to grieve, but also continue your journey of helping others when you are ready. Oh sweetheart I am praying for you and your son! I became a widow 6 years ago at the age of 47. My husband died at the age of 45 to pancreatic cancer. He suffered from schizophrenia for years so I understand all too well about living with someone with mental illness. What kept me going was my son. He was only 17 and getting ready to graduate high school. Take care of yourself and your son first. Only come back to this channel when you're ready.
Holy cow I am beyond floored with this. I don't know the personal issues with mental illness that John had but I noticed a lot of comments mentioning mental illness... My stepfather (also a john) had bipolar and paranoia schizophrenia. My husband deals with same thing and last year he was diagnosed after a long hard few years. This is one of those things that nobody will ever understand it unless they are in your shoes. Marina you gave that man the best final years of his life I guarantee it you made these final years bearable and comforting for him. I think about what you said and I can relate too well, a lot of people will leave in this situation with mental illness. You held him down and gave him a purpose and without you he may not have come as far. A lot of us empathize with you because we know exactly what every word you say means to us. I think it's important to really hug the ones you love the most and really appreciate it we really are promised nothing with our loved ones. I want to send you really sincere deep condolences Marina from my family and I. I have been very disturbed about this last two days and have been holding off to comment, this whole community loved John. My own husband enjoyed seeing him featured, he was like great another guy rolling his eyes at the dollar tree lol! Marina when you are feeling like your spirit is ready to speak I really think that this mental illness subject should be brought up again because more people than we all realize suffer than this and it is a topic that is very pushed under the rug and frowned upon. I am so so sorry to hear what has happened, Marina. My deepest condolences. I don't usually share my personal life with anyone but you have truly touched my heart. I became a widow at 40 years old in 2017. My husband had a heart birth defect and never knew it until it was too late. He was only 42 when he passed away. Our daughter was only 4 at the time and the only thing that helped me move toward was my little girl. For the longest time after that happened, because of how sudden it happened, I had severe anxiety feeling the weight of the world just to stay alive for my daughter. I kept feeling like if it happened to him it could happen to me in a blink of the eye. Through it all, I have learned to be grateful for today. I have learned that things can always be worse so I must be grateful for what I have now. For me, it's a gift to be here today for my daughter and my family. There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss my husband. It still feels like a piece of me is missing but I know he wants me here and I need to keep reminding my daughter who he was. He will live on through my stories. Telling my daughter his likes and dislikes and things he used to say and do. Grieving unfortunately never ends. We transition back and forth through bargaining and anger and sadness. I still think "why couldn't I have done something more to stop this from happening?" I still get angry that he left me like "why aren't you here?", then sadness that he's not. I try to keep him alive through me and doing and being everything I loved about him. That's how I honor him. Everyone grieves in their own way. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself and your son. I will say that you've provided me with a comfort at night before bed as I have always watched your videos then. I thank you for being there for me through your videos. I had a car accident 15 days after I turned 17. My car was flipped upside down my head was through the steering wheel and hitting the dash . I was not breathing when the ambulance came and picked me up I was DOA. I spent 1 month in the hospital after the doctors told my mom I would be there for a year and a half or two years . I have had major brain trauma since then , I have a lot of demons that I fight and I pray for you and for everything that your husband has done for you I pray that you see him in everything you do and I know it hurts but you have us to support you
Hey Marina, so very sorry for your loss. I too lost my husband 7 years ago. It was to glioblastoma and was very sudden. You asked for truth and so I'll give you mine. I never stopped grieving. I just learned how to live with it. I learned how to smile when thinking about him. And i learned how to accept that i when I was having a hard day. Platitudes don't help. In fact they are more than useless. But try not to get annoyed when people offer them. I'm sending you strength through the ether because strength is what you'll need the most. @confessionsofadollartreeaddict Marina, I know it sounds rough, but trust me, you can and will have the strength. Think about it as a box and at some point your grief will live in there. Sometimes, you'll open the box intentionally, and sometimes, the box just opens. When the lid comes off, my grief is the same. And girl, I didn't get to choose how long it took me to put the grief in the box. It's organic, and everyone's time-frame is different. Cry, scream, rail...right now do whatever you need to do to get through. Remember, this period is one of the last gifts you can give John. You know better than anyone else what he would have wanted. I had a child to take care of and so many decisions. I think I stayed numb for quite some time. Things felt like it was happening to someone else. I kind of watched myself move through an hour, then through the day. Before you new it time for bed. I didn't wash his pillowcase until I couldn't smell him on it anymore. I bought a body pillow and put his t-shirt on it. I also bought a teddy bear to hug and cry myself to sleep with. You ARE a survivor!! You already know how to do this. It will be your toughest yet. Believe in a reason for everything that happens. And believe that the positive energy you need is being sent to. I was so angry at God for letting this happen and couldn't even pray . God knows we are going to be angry, but he just patiently waits for us to come back to Him. Trust in what ever your higher Power is. Remember we are all here for you and we love!!!
Oh beautiful Ms Mariana... I'm trying to type thru tears for you and your family.. i was 31 when I became a widow.. my sons were 7 and 10 at that time.. My 1st husband was bipolar and his death was accidental.. He's been gone for over 20 years now.. Losing a spouse is horrific for everyone who loved the person.. i thought i was doing ok with life until our oldest son told me he was having a baby 13 years ago, that opened up a can of emotions i didn't know existed.. Your going to experience emotions constantly for the rest of your life from John's passing.. My best advice as a widow, mom and grandma now is to give yourself and Chris some grace for the next 30 days.. Just be... then book both of you an appointment with a grief counselor.. Your going to need separate appointments and 1 each month that you both attend together ❤️ It was the best thing i ever did for my son's and I.. Don't take anything that Chris may say to seriously right now.. he's a teen and will be angry, sad, etc.. just keep an ear open if his grief becomes to overwhelming.. Always be listening to what he shares with you.. My oldest son told me to tell you that just sitting with him ,not talking, will be most important.. and to not put your grief on Chris.. Just love him and support him ❤️ When I was going thru it, i bought a notebook to journal daily in.. Looking back, it really saved me.. Get yourself and Chris a notebook.. Don't ever look at his, just encourage him to write daily so it becomes habit and his safe place.. Please, re read what im writing.. I'm 20+ years into this journey your now on.. If you ever need an ear, I'm here.. You, John and Chris are my friends and family even though we haven't met.. lean on us fans, we're here for you and your family ❤ Big hugs, prayers and light, ~Christy

I was about to say im at a loss for words and the memory which just occurred was his comment to you upon learning you wanted to give dumpster diving a go. It was to the effect ... an acknowledgement of your being a 'mad mamma jamma' is what comes to mind currently which i sense is while not to be quoted, the powerful exclaim of your Marina-ness is NOT to be gone un-noted. I pray you be in touch with the sense i feel John not only witnessed in you but felt deeply in his bones, to his inner core sense of being. You're a wonderful person and you deserve to take time to heal and handle his passing. You have a lot of viewers, creators, friends and family that care for you. I lost my husband February 2023 and now I’ve lost my mom this May 18… just days ago. I feel your pain. I feel it. I am so sorry that you’re having to go through this. It’s a pain that only people that have lost a spouse know. The pain is so deep that when someone says my heart aches, it really really does hurt your heart really does hurt. It feels like your heart is just being stabbed a thousand times. I’ll be praying for you. That’s the only thing we can do is pray. keep with your family and your son. Have them close to you as much as possible. Try not to stay alone and dwell in the pain because it will take you to a deep dark place. I’ve been there. It’s hard to get out of it once you get there so keep yourself busy surround yourself with people that love you. You don’t want to go there. ❤

It is an illness an not your fault. Cry, scream and do what you need to… there are those of us in your group that are here for you… hugs no one’s pain is the same! I enjoyed him being in your videos! He is at peace and in a place where he is healed. I lost my son with Mental illness/ diabetes and caught the FLU before Covid. Passed February 14, 2020 of a terrible bout with the flu affecting his diabetes that made him have a stroke and left him brain dead for a week before we turned his body over to Gods care. He is healed now. I miss him like crazy even though As a single mother we fault many fights. I lost a a big part of my heart. When I am blue and can not stop the tears and feel I can not take another breath… God steps in and gives me reason to carry on! I was just so Thankful God loaned him to me if even for a short time! God left you so much of John and I know you are Thankful God loaned him to you if only for a short time … I pray for God to help heal your heart and give you strength to move on … hugs
WOOW! My Condolences. I knew something was seriously wrong when I saw the video shot of you I said I have to tune in. There is ONE who rules over all the Universe because He owns the Universe and is the Creator of us all. Turn first and foremost to Him for Comfort. There is no comforter like Him for you and your Son. Pray for yourself and your Son. He will always wait to hear from you. He will always just be a prayer away from you and your Son. You will heal, you and your Son. You will move on because the Creator God has built humans that way and He is our support to do so. I too will keep you both in Prayers. Oh Marina, I am so so sorry for what you are going through right now. I know that pain so well. I was 48 when my husband died of a heart attack in another state. When I got the news I literally felt physical pain like someone had punched me in the stomach so hard I bent forward and my legs could barely get me to a chair to sit down. I remember just saying, "Oh my God. Oh my God." over and over again. Then I went onto Auto-Pilot, so to speak. Because we knew he had heart disease we had plans in case he should die while out of state. Therefore, organ donations were done and he was cremated. Our daughter, who was attending college in the same state as he was living in, drove home with his remains and we had the funeral here. Needless to say, his family was not happy with me...they are Catholic. The best advice I can give you right now is to do what you know is right for you, John and Chris. I will also say that once the funeral is over don't be surprised when everyone else moves on with their lives and you are stuck in your space with your life not moving on for what seems like forever. What you are going through right now is so hard, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. You have lost a big piece of yourself that you can never truly get back. Over time it does get easier in some ways but, at least for me, that missing piece is always missed every single day. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Chris. Love, Lisa

I’ve only been watching for a few weeks, but I love the joy you express in your life and family; even the difficult times. Fourteen days before our 32nd anniversary, my husband passed away from a combination of Alzheimer’s and a blood disorder that transitioned into leukemia. This happened in 2020. Because all facilities were quarantined for the pandemic, I was unable to visit and support him. My heart goes out to you and your son during this difficult time. Just know that you are surrounded by the love and compassion of this sweet community you created. God is with you during the darkest of nights and most bewildering moments. I, too, was surrounded by love from my family and community even from a distance. Please don’t fret about the future. Just be present for yourself and your son. Sometimes God only shows us the next step not the whole path. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. When the time is right, we will be here. (We haven’t left 🥰)

I am a casual watcher. I have never commented on your videos. But I understand living with a spouse that has had a brain injury. It is certainly not for the fainthearted. And I myself have severe clinical depression. Life (and death) happens, and we never know what it's going to throw at us. All you can do is keep trudging along, and take comfort where you can. It gets better, in tiny, minute increments.... so small that most of the time, you don't notice. But it WILL happen. Time is the only healer, and your support system is what gets you through things until enough time has passed for you to get a grip on things. Take joy where you can, and NEVER feel guilty for it. Take care.

I am literally bawling right now as my heart breaks for you. I'm so sorry u have to go thru this. This is my biggest fear ever. My 56yr old husband just recently had open heart surgery. The surgery was successful but he has had some setbacks and complications and it has lengthened his recovery journey and pain levels. I'm so blessed that he made it thru the surgery and am scared to death of him passing away. All my family has turned their backs on us during this process over a dumb fight my mother and i had Thanksgiving weekend .. smh. So I have been navigating all of this by myself and my husband with only a few very special peoplr for support - none if whom is my actual family (except my grandma). I will pray for you and your son while u work thru all the feelings that grieving brings. May God bless you with a flood of wonderful memories to comfort u
