ARE YOU TEAM KING KONG OR TEAM GODZILLA?! Please Share And Like The Video! I Recorded This Video The Day The Movie Came Out But I Wanted To Wait On Posting It, Let's See How It Goes.
this movie was dope af to see in the theater. bruh, when I seen Godzilla with that smile and laugh I legit got chills. I grew up on the monster films so Godzilla was always my favorite. but get out ya feelings on the fair fight, you always wanna play to your advantages lol
Not as embarrassing, well if I cared, when in King of the Monsters, they played Godzilla's real theme song. I got up in the theater saying loud, "It's the song. It's the song!" Literally got brought back to my childhood lol
@@frankgesuele6298 why didn’t he summon weaker monsters to fight one of his strongest enemies? Besides having force them all back ink hibernation none of them would’ve arrived before the fight was over
@@AgntFL I think this is one of the moments where the hero needs to deal with the enemy personally , hence Godzilla's fight with MechaG is personal ❤️🤜🤜
What I really loved about MechaG was the fact that once the suit had enough power, Ghidorah took over the mech. Thats why he mainly focused Godzilla even after throwing Kong off and even took time in breaking him down in their 1v1.
Godzilla was only chasing Apex because he thought Ghidorah was still alive because the 2 heads were still communicating (the 1 head in apex and the 1 head inside Mecha Godzilla).
The outcomes of the fights make sense. Godzilla won because he has more experience fighting opponents on the same level as him and he has more options available in terms of possible attacks, whereas Kong was the King of his little island nothing could stand up against him as an equal except that adult skullcrawler which he killed. The only thing that managed to wound Godzilla was the powered up axe. I do like that Kong got the upper hand in the first part of the second fight. Having to fight an opponent that can bounce between the buildings, something that loosely strategises, is something we've not seen Godzilla do yet. We've seen the ferocious animalistic opponent in the Mutou, the stronger heavyweight in Ghidorah and now the more agile and versatile brawler in Kong. It makes sense that Godzilla would struggle at first, especially coming off the back of the overwhelming victory of the first fight in the water. But with the Kong being able to use the elevation of the city as an advantage it caught Godzilla off guard until he caught managed to dislocate Kong's arm and caused him to retreat. The pursuit and beat down after solidifying his victory until Mecha Godzilla shows up. Now, Mecha Godzilla is made to counter anything Godzilla can throw at him. He is literally manufactured to kill Godzilla. Godzilla is also fatigued from his very recent fight with Kong. All this wraps up into a crushing defeat for Godzilla until Kong joins the battle. Remember that Mecha Godzilla is made to beat Godzilla not Kong. Mecha Godzilla would have next to no idea of the capabilities of Kong and his axe and Kong now has experience in fighting Godzilla. Bish, Bash, Bosh, Godzilla probably remembered that the powered up axe hurt him so logically might hurt Mecha Godzilla so seeing that it's the only thing he can do that would make any difference he powers up Kong's axe and they win. TL;DR Big Scaly Boi V Big Fleshy/Fur Boi Godzilla>Kong>Mecha>Godzilla
Well the director said that the whole fight Godzilla was just toying with Kong. He never took Kong seriously and didn’t see him as a equal, and when he started to beat kong hard that was him deciding he was bored and annoyed and wanted to end it.
@@kaijuaceanimations83 That’s just false Adam only said Godzilla was toying with Kong during the aircraft carrier fight, the fight were Kong was chained at first and in Godzilla’s environment AND sedated but in Hong Kong Godzilla started to take the battle seriously and at the end did see him as an equal.
@@fredrik5832 well no he said that Godzilla never feared that he would lose the fight in Hong Kong even when Kong hit him on the head with the axe, the whole time he was mostly toying with him as it’s clearly shown, why else would he laugh when he hit kong with his atomic breath? He never laughed when hitting the mutos or Ghidorah with it. You know why because he was having fun messing around with Kong
Team Godzilla my man. The original 1954 film is an unsung hero of creature features. It's really about something. Shin Godzilla is recent and really is worth a watch as well.
How MellvVerse felt about Kong losing was exactly how I felt as a kid when I saw Godzilla lose to Kong in the original movie. My dream movie would be to see Godzilla, King Kong, and Gamera vs. Ghidora.
Nah - Godzilla, Kong, and Gamera against a huge swarm of Gyaos led by that Uber-Gyaos from the fan-made Gamera 4 short movie. Gyaos is just such a nasty creature on every level.
Wrong monsterverse Godzilla only cares about the planet. he just coincidentally happens to save humanity in the process he doesn’t really pay them any mind.
no no, what he cares is the natural world. the humans just happens to be a part of the natural balance, but like in GvK,if monsters or humans goes off their territory and place in the eco system, godzilla kills them. Doesnt if they are titans or humans if they violate the law of nature, they will pay the price.
@@rcguitarcovers8614 Godzilla deems anything unnatural as a threat. Zero was not from here, thus the battle, neither was MUTOS, ancient battle between Kong and Godzilla was a battle between In with the new out with the old with neither getting the advantage. Meet again but if you payed close attention, Godzilla only thought Kong was making that alpha call until that battle scene, reason for the final huff he made towards Kong as like damnit man , then mecha-godzilla (zero dna) appears, Godzilla goes there you are. Yeah Godzilla only goes after threats that are unnatural as does Kong, Mothra etc..., don't belong here...causing trouble....Godzilla take care of it
So the director Adam Wingard specifically stated in interview how he wrote and directed the movie with the awareness that parents are gonna take thier kids to see this movie, so he purposefully added in those moments of kong chowing down on those fish because he knew that kids would enjoy that part plus it keeps the character more relatable.
The shot of Godzilla's and Mechagodzilla's beams clashing is actually a reference to a shot from the original Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla movie from 1974.
I was #TeamKong and I knew there was no way in hell he would be able to beat Godzilla, He's stronger, he's got armored reptilian skin, he has claws, tail, nuclear breath, he is also a lot older than Kong so he's more experienced. Kong's strong but there's a reason why Godzilla is called king of the monsters. Still Team Kong though but I respect both.
I was excited in the battle parts tween Kong and Zilla, love how they showed every great shots of them fighting, unlike in the early Transformers movies where the scenes are too up close and too fast. I also laughed when Godzilla did the "I burned your ass" laugh cause it caught me by surprise.
Technically, “Zilla” is a separate monster from the 1998 American “iteration” of Godzilla. We call this guy Goji, but that’s an argument rooted in minutiae if anything.
15:15 It's a robot and it looks like Godzilla. It's not that hard to guess/come up with. 20:06 Guess you must've never seen Godzilla do a "victory dance" back in the 60's. 20:51 That's the nature of pretty much any versus story. Both properties are too big not have a backlash when one loses, so they meet, there's a misunderstanding, they have a tussle, they team-up at the end to take down some actual bad guy.
Jet Jaguar is in the new Godzilla anime. Also, Godzilla didn't fight Jet Jaguar in the original, they were partners. You should check out the Godzilla Heisei (1984-1995) and Millenium (1999-2004) series of films... and also, my personal favorite, Shin Godzilla (2016), which takes Godzilla back to his origins as a destructive abomination that doesn't fight monsters, only destroys Japan.
In the early segments of the Hollow Earth when the ships fly through it, there's a brief cameo of Baragon looking up at the passing ships. Loved that detail. *Edit:* The movie isn't a sequel to the original 60's one, but it does have nods to it (mostly in the fight scenes, and the giant squid bit). The opening credits are more references to Kong's ancestors having also fought Godzilla. Also, Godzilla was sensing the bits of Ghidorah, not Mecha-Godzilla. And it was the Ghidorah bits that took over MG when they gave it enough (the right kind of) energy. *Edit edit:* Kong having a vulnerable heart is probably a reference to King Kong Lives, where he had to have heart surgery.
I know it’s late but I had to watch this reaction man I was Team Godzilla all the way me and my dad would watch them when I was little so I was a huge fan of Godzilla the movie went the way I wanted it to and I loved every minute. Such a great movie
Kong never gave up he was just to beat up to get back up or he would have. Godzilla left him out of respect cuz he knew he’d die if he left him so he didn’t care to do a final blow
There is the part of the movie I question.... how can the little girl touch the ground and feel kongs heart beat when godzilla and mechagodzilla are stomping around destroying buildings now that far away
Fun fact; the idea of them to go through that portal into the hollow earth is based on the real hollow earth theory that there’s two entrances in the north and South Pole, two giant holes the size of a football field that leads bellow the ice. If you look up Admiral Richard Byrd his story was insane
@@jackasswhiskyandpintobeans9344 You should, the movies with the human controlled MG are pretty awesome. Having human pilots allows them to flesh out the human characters better than in a lot of the other movies.
@@Momon143 I should, but I can't. Toho has had many iterations. I like Toho 2-suit acting, with all the corny aliens and human subplots. Let's take "Godzilla on Monster Island," or "Godzilla vs Gigan". I enjoy that movie. I enjoy the human characters as much as the monster battles. Such a great Toho movie.
You know I suggest you watch the previous Monsterverse films so you can understand the big picture instead of a opening recap also Godzilla is a male that's the reason why he's called king of the monsters if he was a woman then he'll be called queen of the monsters and the skullcrawler isn't a dinosaur
I grew up in the 70s and 80s watching ALL of the old monster movies and the MonsterVerse has been a very pleasant and enjoyable gift to us long time kaiju fans. The acting doesn't have to be great, so long as we have awesome kaiju battles. I too hope for more to be made. Time will tell.
The thing is kong have usable hands so he already has that advantage but godzilla makes up for it with his claws. And physically godzilla is stronger and has much more arsenal than kong. But is a great fight, teamwork makes the dream work. But yeah i think there is a next movie....and i think there already a planned out movie list for the monster-verse. And yeah jet jaguar is a must! And destroyah
I will NEVER, EVER believe an oversized ape could defeat an ancient dinosaur twice his size that breathes pure nuclear energy and has previously clapped a three-headed dragon with electricity powers💀
While I am a Kong fan, I've always been a bigger fan of Godzilla, so I am glad Godzilla won. But I like how they left it with mutual respect between them. It was like they said "I don't like you, but you did save my life, soo we're cool." Although I do think when Godzilla was walking away he did sort of have this look like he was entertaining the idea of whipping around and frying Kong with his atomic breath.
Mellow, it sounds like you haven't seen Skull Island. You should check that out too, it's one of the very best monster movies ever; great cast, great fights, great story. And Samuel L Jackson doing his best Colonel Kurtz/Captain Ahab impression. Everyone should check it out, terrific film.
Something they don't really give much service in the movie... the storm we see outside Kong's containment at the beginning is consuming ALL of Skull Island. The storm that covered it from the outside has since moved inward and wiped out the Iwi people except the girl. Kong found her and saved her. But that's why Kong can't stay on the island, cause the storm has destroyed everything and he wouldn't survive there either anymore. As they say in the movie, Skull Island is like the Hollow Earth come to the surface. But the result of it is that these two environments cannot co-exist. Which is the whole crux of the movie, right? The surface vs Hollow Earth. Godzilla vs Kong, only one will survive. But the end shows that there can be "peace". Not living in harmony, but peace. Kong stays below and Godzilla has the surface world. Balance is reached
Godzilla is king...whooped that ass... but kong is a beast...I tough he got shine in this movie. they made Godzilla the bad guy for most the movie. which I can appreciate just like Freddy vs Jason....but in the end the superior always comes up on top - in this case Godzilla finally put kong in his place ( as far as king of the monsters goes) - in FVJ Freddy ended up on top when Jason thought he was bringing Freddys head to his treasure closet and it was just a dream - as evidenced by Freddy winking and laughing. All in all a good reaction - your commentary was hilarious cuz its the shit that I thought to myself while watching the movie. good stuff
Yeah I didn't like Kong losing either. I mean I loved Godzilla and Kong growing up but I always leaned a little more toward Kong because his eyes expressed more emotion and he died in a couple of those other films to boot so he had more tragedy going on in his life.
movies for schoolchildren and those who are still studying in kindergarten, 12+. thank God that the contract for Godzilla ends this year between the United States and the Japanese.
You probably don't watch enough Godzilla film to understand Godzilla. Over the past 68 years of Godzilla films, Godzilla has been revamped, worked on with so many newly added traits and went through battles with other more terrifying kaijus (and some where Godzilla himself is the villain) that I can't believe non-fans actually still underestimate him. Godzilla originally was a representation of the Bombing of Hiroshima and as time went by, Godzilla became the balance of nature. He is neither good or bad for he fight off anything that's the bigger threat (even humans). He feeds off of radiation and therefore, is practically immune to explosions and which is why he has an atomic breath. Although I do like Kong, Kong isn't even near Godzilla's level (don't forget that Kong was originally 25 ft before they decided to boost him up). The biggest advantage with Kong was his agility, intelligence and brute strength. Without that axe (which was a huge plot armor if you ask me), Kong would have been obliterated. Not trying to compare for I love both Godzilla and Kong but when ppl say Kong would destroy Godzilla, I literally go 🧐🧐🧐🧐.
22:01 In this scene, my man, kong does not give up, his head is like that because of the injuries he received, godzilla pressed his heart and I won, while kong is roaring in response, so he does not bow to godzilla.
I loved this movie, just wish it had more Kong and Godzilla in it and less human storyline. Mainly the whole Millie Bobby Brown storyline they could've done without. Overall great movie though! I loved the effects and the Hollow Earth scenes, wonderful imagery. Great reaction!
Monsterverse Godzilla is the weakest out of all the Godzilla's, Earth Godzilla is the strongest out of all the Godzillas, Kong and Monsterverse Godzilla is the size of Earth godzilla TOe
Heisei godzilla is the strongest movie incarnation he was capable of blowing up the planet. Also legendary isn't the weakest godzilla that title goes to godzilla 1998
Team Kong all the way. Just a cooler Kaiju overall. Godzilla is meh, typical superman archetype with a bunch of crybaby nerds that spam essays under every comment section.
Lmao 🤣 you say that yet you call godzilla the typical "superman archetype" when that stereotype doesn't make any sense when superman and godzilla have drastically different powers and origins. It's funny It's always the kong fanboys that don't understand godzilla as a character that either call him superman or automatically call his fans nerds despite you yourself are a nerd for kong 😉. Double standards much?
Team Godzilla all the way. Just a cooler kaiju Overall. Kong is meh, typical Batman archetype with a bunch of crybaby nerds that spam excuses under every single comment section
Ewww Do you actually like King Kong what did king Kong even do he didn’t even save earth kind of though but Godzilla saved it because the dragon was trying to take over and Godzilla killed dragon Nana who actually wins it’s Godzilla in the movie like this one video and this guy said Godzilla has a higher advantage of killing Kong
How did the mutos drive gojira s species into extinction i ll never know i mean one of those was enough to drive the kongs out of hollow earth in the war
