I agree. Stumbling upon your childhood cards even if they $20 cards is priceless! That's why we started this hobby to begin with! I don't think any of us started this hobby when we were little thinking about making money lol 😆 PS Congrats on the 10s 👌

Love the idea of grading your childhood cards. I am thinking of grading my 1985 Garbage Pail Kids cards and seeing if I can get an all PSA 1 set :) . They were stored in a stack with a rubber band and have writing over them. We would toss the stack in our backpack, lay them out raw and trade during recess. Good times.

@@jt-zg8tr Which part? The cool part or the ten part? 10 is the highest grade of a card for PSA. It means the condition of it is “perfect” which can be sold at a higher price. Cool is subjective. I just like the design of the cards or the player on the card.

I recently had some of my childhood cards from the 70's graded. I knew some would only get a 4 or 5 but it was still worth it!

Couple decades ago when I was a kid. I put my favorite cards in a binder. And I always carried around to show off to my friends. But one day the binder disappeared when I was playing on the playground. I was so sad and was crying for days. If I still had that binder. I would do the same.

Crazy what the money printing + staying at home in 2020 did to the hobby. It gave people careers in a industry that was pretty stagnant. I’m interested to see if this is a bubble or not. Will we return to normal productive activities and keep sports cards a hobby instead of creating careers out of it at such volume that hundreds of thousands made reselling cards a career in one way or another. It may be here to stay or it may be a massive bubble. We don’t know until hindsight

After the IRS COMES TO AUDIT.. The hobby idiots will scatter like roaches. This shit is a hobby. Everyone grading every CARD IS ABSURD. The prices are high still because of Ebay fraud. You can shill bid and buy cards back and keep prices high. Ebay doesn't care. Idiots are paying over PSA 9 prices for a raw card that has NO CHANCE AT A PSA 10. It's funny. It's all flippers and dealers selling to each other and " leaving room for the next guy." That should speak volumes as to were the hobby is. Not to mention Fanatics taking the hobby WOKE!! Just wait for the virtue signaling with Pride Month cards.

This vid is awesome I’m still a kid and I got into sports cards in about 2022 my dad has been in the card game since 1985 he pulled the Michael Jordan rookie card and he graded it in 2020 and got it back a Beckett 9 so that is his holy grail!

You said you didn't know the grades, but im almost positive that you had to pay up more $$ on the Kaboom and the Pedri genesis, so you would have had to know the grade since psa would have sent you a request for payment. Maybe I'm wrong, please correct me if I'm wrong.

There weren’t any upcharges on the Pedri or Kaboom. So I had no idea what the grades were. I’m not gonna do a fake blind reveal lol

99% sure that LeBron Rookie was in a set and you got 1 jersey card or auto. The complete set was 19.99$ I still have mine unopened and 1 opened. Kevin Durant set also was 19.99 for set. Either way nice video

PSA a good choice. We just made a video on our channel and many grading companies didn't pass a water test. If anyone wants to check it out before grading.

Have you had any cards that were in screw down holders rejected by PSA? I am nervous about wasting money sending in some of my childhood cards only for them to be rejected for this BS reason. They should just drop the grade by one if they fall into this reason.

HTF was that D. Wade Topps RC a PSA 1.5(even with a big crease)? A 1.5 is literally a card that has creases, rounded corners, way off centered, scuff marks, maybe even stains. Fucking PSA 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

worthless cards ...if you add the cost of the cards and the cost of the grading and the 35% discount ( haircut ) you will need to take when selling them to someone else you are dead in the water.
