This actually made me cry because I’ve been feeling the exact same way. I just graduated with my Masters and it was one of the hardest 2 years of my life and I was feeling so sad & disappointed that things didn’t go as planned with no ceremony or party or celebration. But we’re all in this together, and you’re right, your feelings are so valid. It’s totally okay to be sad & disappointed.

I understand how you feel that's exactly how I felt yesterday when I graduated from ASU. Yesterday didn't feel like my graduation like my hard work was going to get recognize. I cried all day yesterday eating edible cookie dough.

I started watching you through your europe vlogs after high school so seeing you graduate college feels so full circle 💛 (my first impression was: oh my god there's no way she's that pretty and so nice, but then you proved me wrong and i kept mistaking you as Blake Lively's little sister hahah) I am so happy you've finished college!! not in a way anyone expected but you stuck with it and met your goal girl! So so proud, also your mom is incredible going above and beyond making sure you feel celebrated!! Also it's completely okay to grieve how things happened and no one has a say in how you feel, graduation is not a casual thing, obviously everyone hyped the day and it unfortunately didn't get to happen the traditional way, still i hope you celebrate yourself a lot these days! it really sucks that people might berate you or try to invalidate your feelings simply because you’re not dying. your feelings are SO valid and just because you’re sad about this doesn’t mean you can’t be grateful for your health at the same time. it doesn’t have to be one or the other and i don’t think people realize that. i can’t even imagine how hard this must be for you and i’m praying for you💞

I never leave comments, but I just watched this and cried with you because I just “graduated” the other day too and my feelings couldn’t match up to yours more. Working full time and going to college is more commendable than words can describe. No one can ever take this away from you though ❤️ You’re amazing!

I feel you so much on being a 2020 grad and not feeling like your 4 years of hard work are being celebrated or appreciated as you always expected. I'm personally having a really hard time struggling with it as well and being upset about our circumstances. It just feels like theres no closure b/c everything ended so abruptly but just know your feelings are valid and your allowed to be upset and your not alone in feeling like that

I graduated this year too from Nursing and I feel the same way you do.. to not be able to walk across the stage and accept my degree and celebrate the past four years of something that took up so much time and I worked so hard at truly is devastating in it’s own way... I’ve had several breakdowns so if you wanna cry, cry girl. I feel your pain

I honestly relate 100% to how you’re feeling about your graduation. I was supposed to graduate from my doctorate and masters-but I kept it a secret that I did a masters at the same time because I was going to surprise my family at my graduation. Like “surprise fam!” But yea no. I do feel super guilty about being upset about missing mine because I was so fortunate to experience my undergrad graduation-so my heart is literally breaking for you. It’s such a large accomplishment! So even though this may not mean much coming from a stranger-CONGRATULATIONS girl! YOU did it!!

I had my graduating yesterday and watching the speeches on RU-vid wasn’t the same, wasn’t what everyone worked for these years towards our degree. I completely understand what emotions you’re experiencing and they’re totally valid. We weren’t expecting corona to happen and it’s normal to feel upset over what we were looking forward to celebrating

Before you started crying i was like "awww" in my head to everything being delivered. Im also suppose to be graduating May 16 and of course thats not happening. My school is kind enough to push the ceremony back for us but everyone is even making me feel like thats too much && too long && its not going to be as important then. I feel you 110%, cause we truly worked so hard for a little recognition && it almost feel like we aren't getting that. College is no joke and im super proud of myself, you, and all of the other graduates. Maybe when we tell our kids we graduated online they'll think it's cool😭 Edit: i literally cried through this whole vlog.

I can't believe how old we are all getting haha i've been following you for so many years, since you were studying in high school and i can't believe now we are both graduating (actually i'll be graduating in june 'cause in spain we haven't started yet finals). I think it’s so good and positive that you are expressing how you feel about your graduation because soooo many people are going through this at this time and they feel so alone. Having someone be honest about their feelings of loss during this crazy time will help validate their feelings and let them know that it’s OKAY to feel sadness or even grief at not being able to celebrate these important milestones. Yes we can be so grateful for all the things God has given us; but still acknowledge and work through those feelings of loss. Love how real you are girl!

I 100% feel this. I graduated from VT this weekend and my parents really went all out at my house and it made me realize how important and big this milestone is... it made me so emotional and I cried way too much. But, you did it, we did it, we got our degrees! There will be so many milestone's in this lifetime!

I graduated from college at the end of April and it was so depressing. I totally understand how you feel. It felt like I couldn't celebrate my achievements. I worked my butt off for 5 years and I never got the day of celebration that every college grad looks forward to. Us 2020 college grads got the short end of the stick, but not having a graduation ceremony doesn't make our achievements and our degrees any less important! Love you Keaton!

I am so sorry, the only thing that has gotten me through college and all the hard times is the vision of me standing with my degree in hand crying about being so proud of myself for finally doing it. I love this SO much. I didn’t know how to put into words how I was feeling about not having a normal college graduation and you said everything I wish I could’ve said. I don’t think anyone who isn’t going through this will understand how devastating this is because we’ve worked so hard for something that doesn’t even feel real because there wasn’t really a “finish line.” We just stopped logging into our online classes, that’s it. of course we’re grateful we even got to go to college, but it’s just not the same. your feelings are valid, my feelings are valid, this is all surreal and i just appreciate your words.

You are absolutely “allowed” to be sad! You’re right! Your feelings are valid. It’s sad and you worked so hard for this moment. While it’s just a moment, it’s a huge monumental moment in your life that unfortunately you can’t get back. I feel you so much on this. I was supposed to graduate from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott AZ on May 2nd. I was the first in my family to attend college and graduate and my mom and I were dreaming of my graduation day and party planning.. it sucks so bad! We worked so hard to get through college and we show the ups and not the downs so no one can truly understand how difficult it can be other than yourself! i had professional graduation pictures taken, and my parents are still planning to throw me a graduation party over summer (hopefully), you should definitely still try to have one if it’s do able, it’s worth celebrating!!
