That's awesome Alex, especially heading to Miami!!! I know 2 ladies that will be happy to see dad!!! You definitely earned the donuts this week. I'm home until Monday, then it's back to work!!! The decent loads are out there, we just have to be creative and willing to work outside the box. Be safe bro!
Thank you David!🙏 I’m home until Monday as well and back on the road after. Really hard to get out of Miami though. Unfortunately. The ladies were definitely happy to see me and I’m still trying to enjoy the weekend that I’m home. Then back on the road for at least a month. The loads are definitely out there. We just have to be in the right place at the right time and yes, sometimes think outside the box on how to stack and pack it all on the trailer😁
I went to same doughnut shop awsome treats 😋😋😋I’m from Tennessee would like to do hotshots so much knowledge on book work rules etc the driving is the easy part right. I’ve been watching hotshot channels for quite some time now . Your very chilled and show no stress in the game your numbers are good also carry on trucking buddy 👏👌🤛🏻🍕
Thank you! Yea you are correct. More book work knowledge and driving is the easy part. I have enough stress with my job, I try not to show it in the videos 😂
I thought about getting into the hotshot business. Could you make a list of things you need for a flatbed gooseneck trailer. Like chains, straps, blinders, etc. Thank you.
I’m not sure if I understand the question correctly but in my left corner on the dash I have my tpms sensor monitor for the trailer tires. The iPad Inuse for ELD, weigh station app and a second map just in case.
I’m gonna get into this business just for the donuts. 😂 When the dispatcher sends me anywhere they’ll need to make sure there is a donut shop close by or on the way. Otherwise not gonna do it! Even if it paid $3 a mile. 🤣
If you are referring to what steps to take to start then buy truck and trailer, register company, apply for DOT, purchase commercial insurance, apply for authority.
Thanks Johnny! I had that recall done a while back. This time it’s an emissions sensor that went on to the exhaust. It was missing when I bought the truck. Maybe they had a shortage at that time so they decided not to install them. lol.
Gross means nothing? Really? In my books, the higher the gross the higher the net. You might wanna rethink what you wrote. Let’s just say I kept at least 75% of that. 👍🏻
If you’re ever traveling on highway 97 in LaPine in Central Oregon. There’s a place inside Wikiup Junction store that has the best donuts in Central Oregon 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
nice job. are you en CDL or not? can you tell me if it has the particulars feeding for NON CDL. can you help me how to beginning this business. i’m creating my LLC. help me with others importantly informations you can. with truck 350, trailer models, papers, feedings… your despatcher please. how many weeks you stay before coming home?
I’m CDL. CDL will always be better because you have more options for loads since you’re not limited to certain weight. As for starting your business I can tell you the steps but really can’t help with much else. 1. Buy truck and trailer. 2. Register your LLC business with your state. 3. Apply for DOT number 4. Get commercial insurance ( truck/trailer) 5. Apply for Authirity with FMCSA If you google this, you can get much more detailed info.
@Mr.AlexKogan excess sugar not used for energy is stored as fat. This leads to weight gain and further insulin resistance. This results in type 2 diabetes, fatty liver, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease and other metabolic abnormalities.
@@JaissonTatto I understand all of that. I eat donuts on my most active day. I’m also in the gym that day. Donuts are my cheat day meal and that’s it. I do it once a week. Also to correct you, it’s not excess sugar that’s stored if not used, it’s excess calories in general. I’m in a calorie deficit throughout the week so ai can afford to eat donuts and not gain weight.
I was pulling campers, you can’t make any money doing that if they drop the rates and there is no backhaul. I gotta find something to do with the truck now.
Alex, I admire watching your videos. I wish you would put a little bit more driving instead the donuts because I’m already FF and seeing the donut really doesn’t help lol. I’d rather hear the engine and that exhaust break but other than that great job. Looking forward to see another video from you soon. 👍.
@@MilanPalushaj-uh3df Thank you! I appreciate your support. I’m trying to break the videos up now into half weeks of my loads but it’s kind of hard to work, record, edit and upload. It all takes time.
@@Mike-w3k6s I prefer to just stick with the gross income vs net profit. Net is also kinda personal. No one really needs to know all my expenses. That’s kinda like telling everyone how much is in my bank account.
My friend, I put out videos every week so you can see my exact gross every week. No one is flexing. I’m not here to show off. If you look through my videos, you can see the weeks that aren’t good. I have weeks where I sit for 2-3 days without a load. I’m as transparent about work as anyone could be. You must have not seen my other videos.
I don’t have to prove anything to anyone but I have showed my rate confirmations in one of my previous videos because for some reason viewers like you think people always lie. Here you go. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nxnI8Z5PhDA.htmlsi=cOwEBM4xEln0WpyP
Usually I’m home one week a month. That’s the way trucking goes. If you want to make money you have to be on the road, otherwise it’s not worth doing this job.
@@Mr.AlexKogan ok understand. I’m just trying to understand if it’s worth the career change for me. Looks like there’s lots overhead involved. I made over 100k last year in telecom, but getting tired of it after 20+ yrs.
After my business is operating with all licenses, is it very difficult to get a deapatcher to release the loads for transport because it is a new business and I don't have a CDL?
@@dom_22612 If you are asking if it’s harder to get loads for a new company, yes it typically is harder but you may get lucky and not have a difficult time. For me I was able to get loads fairly easy but plenty brokers turned me down too.
Hey! My trailer is 40 foot length. 25,900 gvwr. Weighs 10,100 lb. Load capacity is 15,800 lb but with all my decrement equipment and tarps on the trailer I can put maximum of 15,000 lb on it. I try to never max it out though unless I really have to.
Hey Alex, newer subscriber here. I’ve seen you have trouble getting out of Denver so would you recommend getting into the hotshot business if I’m from Denver 😂 already have my cdl too
Hey, thanks for subscribing! Denver is a harder area to get loads from but they are still available. Just depends how lucky you get and if you can be the first to call the broker when a load pops up on the board. People speed dial and it’s always hard to be the first one to call and grab the old. Don’t let that scare you from getting into the business
I have my cdl and I would like to get into hot shot I don’t have no experience how do I make my first move? Am looking forward for your response thank you
I had a buddy that had the same truck and hauled hot rods in a closed trailer all over the US. The problem was he put 400,000 miles on the truck before it was half payed off.
So gonna unhook a 8k load for donuts and take the risk of someone stealing it 🤔. Me personally na I'm good with that. I understand wanting somn to eat but not this guy
I do worry about it, sure. No one will take it off the trailer while I’m gone because it’s kinda hard without a forklift and I lock my trailer up so no one can hook it.
My point is to get people like yourself to ask me weird questions like you just did. Unreal. If you don’t see the point then this video is obviously not for you but I appreciate the smart ass question. RU-vid algorithm loves it 😁👍🏻
Donuts are my cheat days. I don’t eat them everyday. You have to know how to properly eat during the week to allow yourself to have cheat days. It’s all about knowing how many calories you need in a day. Eat proper amount of protein, carbs and fat. You’ll be amazed at what your body can look like when you know how many calories you need. You can subtract calories everyday if you want to cut weight, you can eat to maintain your weight or you can eat to gain weight. 👍🏻
It’s never the same. It all depends on the loads and areas where you drive. If you have tall loads you spend more on fuel and if you’re out west in the mountains, you’ll spend more as well so really hard to answer that question. Maybe $1-1.5k a week if it’s a good week. Plus diesel prices are different in different parts of the country. Texas is under $4 a gallon vs California over $6 a gallon.
Hey good to see u again Alex, does numbers are excellent man keep printing, im just waiting for my truck to be ready got a hit and run 🤬🤬🤬 but everything ok can wait to hit the road loads are getting better by the mile, be safe my friend.
