Just wanted to try welding TIG with a 316l 1/8” stick welding rod. I’m always curious to try and push things and see what works and what doesn’t. Ultimately through failure is how we as humans tend to learn. Thanks for watching
I’m gonna put it through the real test over night. I threw water on it to see if it’ll rust. If it does, I’ll cut it off and redo it with regular TIG wire.
Thanks homie. I believe Texas TIG or as some others call it, Mexican Heliarc, is when you break flux off a rod and weld it as if it was TIG. Only difference is you’re not using your TIG torch. Rather, you’re using your stick whip. Lol gotta crack that trick out once in a while too lol
