This place has really changed since Ive been here last. The guys have put in a ton of work and they have added a shit ton of jumps. The rangers have torn down the wooden jumps in the past so everything has been rebuilt with dirt. Its been over 2 years since the last time I rode at Area 51. I dont ride in LA as much anymore since I moved from Long Beach to Yorba Linda. Ive been late several times picking up my daughter from school due to LA traffic.
My day didnt start off good. My very first run I crashed. When we got to the big booter I was really nervous its a good 30 feet and theres a step down right after the landing. It took me a few tries before I finally sent it. I came up a little short and then tried to hit it again but I wasnt going fast enough I came up short again lost control and hit a tree. After that I lost all my confidence. I definitely want to go back and hit it when Im a 100% mentally and physically. I hit my bad shoulder into the tree but thank God I didnt break anything.
