One of the nicest players on and off the field treats fans amazingly while scoring bangers for uswnt and nwsl she’s definitely someone I have always looked up to and always will. Thank you Sam!!!

I’ve had 5 surgeries on one knee and 1 was cartilage that tore from a bone in my knee. The surgeon basically cut out a perfect circle in the cartilage around where it tore and then he got some donor cartilage cut to a circle and hammered it in place. It’s called an osteochondral allograft and I know what happened bc I looked up what my surgery was and watched it and wanted to throw up bc it looked terrible. I can understand why she’s retiring bc I got my injury fixed and have incredibly bad arthritis and I’m only 24 so I can only imagine she feels even worse than I do yet she still played through it. That’s a pretty tough woman
@@lexkanyima2195 yeah I still play adult league soccer and all I generally feel is arthritis. But my Dr said that’s normal for someone who had 5 knee surgeries on the same knee in 7 years. I’ll probably have to have a knee replacement when I get older according to my dr which sucks but soccer was worth it
