Seeing my sister go through that has been one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced, seeing her laying on the floor in the corridors, bathroom etc in visible pain & distress & doctors not being able to do anything, left a huge scare on me mentally💯... she got operated on once & had a cyst removed. The pain was gone for a while but came back again, she'd take a lot of painkillers at once but they were ineffective we even feared that she'd overdose. She's currently taking some herbal medicine & the pain has drastically been reduced, I've finally regained my sanity but above all she has gained her life back🙏...Ladies are built different I swear ❤

I have endometriosis too and waa told exactly the same thing "it is in my head". I'm not African, but black too and did my research. This menace is more common among us and many doctors aren't even concerned about us to do diligence. Thankfully, I found a great team in the USA who did the surgery and thanks to the evolution of medicine I was able to experiment with a few. Childbearing isn't my focus, I'm just grateful to at least be able to function (I still have pain) with drugs before, during and after my cycle. All the best Tania and great interview.
I could relate to her story because I have endometriosis too. People don't understand the pains and trauma that come with it especially when the doctors are doing nothing to help.
Doctors are Human . I was also at a time sick .i went to hospital in Austria. After several diagonosis . The said nothing is wrong with me . I was going back every other month and the result was coming the same . I was praying along since i dont know what else to do ,i suffered the illment for about 7 month . I will confidently say that God in his infinite mercy heal me

Her endometriosis story is not unusual. Most Doctors will either dismiss your pain or will misdiagnose it either as PID, ovarian cysts, PCOS and so on.
@@sisicheche8065 This is not true. Some symptoms are classical and the commonest cause of dysmenorrhea is endometriosis. Except if she didn’t go to see good doctors which she apparently did as she said she went round the world.
@@kellymensah8181 I have endo. I definitely know about it. I wasn't being critical of her. It sounded like she just was unfortunate with the doctors who didn't care enough to be thorough in examining her.
