Thanks for going to see Mike. All positive reviews from every client that has gone to see him! Really happy to have him as a resource for building a complete golf game.
Great stuff. Mike seems like an awesome guy to get fit with. Interesting to see how different the shafts performed. And how all of us have different things that fit/feel right to us as a golfer, yet we often just buy 'off the rack' irons shafts.
The shaft fitting kinda blew my mind. Going from the modus 105s and not being able to hit a single shot, to the Dynamic Gold 105 and putting everything was bonkers. They feel difference was night and day!
@@ErndogGolf Made an appt to see Mike. Love my iron heads but have always been curious if the shafts area a good fit. The Mizuno Shaft Optimizer I had used after getting them listed 3 other shafts as a better fit....with the one I have being 4th. Figure the 'off-season' is good time to go in with an open mind and pay for a fitting to see. Thanks for sharing your experience. Happy Holidays!!
can't wait to see what you get. started this year at an 18 hdcp and after yesterday I got to a 13.8. shooting regular low 80s now. fun to watch your game improve along side mine
Love you shared this video. Definitely shows the importance of a fitting. The Mizuno Pro 223 and T100S are more comparable to me as they’re more cavity back player irons with sim Iliad lofts. I would absolutely love to have the T150 in my bag. I currently play JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro with Nippon Pro 120 shaft. Excellent club, but the Titleist is special.
Thanks for watching! Embarrassingly, this was the first time I swung a Titleist. Obsessed with the look and feel. The 150s felt great! Watch the video next week!
Haha, I know I suggested you get a fitting…so I am enjoying this immensely. I play the T100s and love them. Very different shaft, I have the Modus 105 in X stiff. Looking forward to part 2!
good to see the ball coming out higher that was my biggest concern from the prior videos where there was distance increase but it wasn't going to hold a green
Custom fitting definitely helped my game when I got back into golf. Those 20 year old clubs were just not gonna cut it. My fitting wasn’t this detailed but I know it helped. Glad to see you get some awesome help with the process. 👍🏻🏌🏻♂️
@@lrwebb869 that’s awesome man! I tend to play back nines much better than fronts these days too! I played on Thursday and shot a very ugly 48 front but followed it with a 40 back hahah
@@ErndogGolf hah. It was a very early start with no warm up or putting practice! As you may recall, I often play a 9 hole course which is very short; 1500 yds, so this was more of a test, and I’m pretty happy with that score. 4 bad holes: two 7s and two 8s.
How do you know when to get fitted vs work on your swing more? Meaning if your swing isn’t great and that’s why launch angles aren’t ideal, how do you decide how much more to work on your swing? Also, no gator chomp on this video?! That’s the #1 reason I come!
Hahah missed the gator chomp on this one. Dude, it’s hard to say. I started noticing when I used friends’ clubs and they just felt significantly more comfortable to use than my own
This video deserves ALL the views. Love your channel. Took a lesson once with Zach at Bridlewood and instantly improved my game. Could use a driver lesson or 5.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how new clubs work out for you. I know everyone says it makes a big difference, but you are a truer barometer for me because I've followed your journey and feel a connection so I hold your truths higher if that makes sense. I know golf is very individualistic, but it's quite exciting to go through the process with you. It's very vicarious.
Such a great fitting man! You’ve tried a lot of the shafts and club heads I also tried out. Hope you’re going to get a set according to these specs and start playing even better 🔥
Thanks dude! It was much needed and I got the clubs already. It feels like a dream how great these clubs feel! Can’t believe I waited this long to get fitted clubs!
You labeled that your original shaft was a modus 105, but I think in the video the fitter mentions you were in a Modus 120, as well as on the trackman. Where you originally in 105's or 120's?
Thanks for this. I'm going to go see Mike in the near future. I bought a full set about a year ago and the fitting was NOTHING like this. I think my lie angles are way off because my swing has changed quite a bit since I was fitted..
I play the Mizuno 223's and love them. One thing I will say is please take them out onto a grass range to hit too before you buy , as turf interaction is also a big thing. The range / simulator mats hide our mistakes, clubs bounce off the matt hiding chunky shots etc.. So if you can, get em on some grass and hit them too...
@@ErndogGolf I originally got the Mizuno Pro 225s. Striped them on the Sim, hated them on the course,(didnt test them on the grass) switched to the 223's and not looked back
@@ErndogGolf Yeah I was fit for my previous set so I knew I needed standard lie angle. However I like stiff flex with a lightweight shaft and these off the rack Srixon ZX5's just so happen to have that. I was concerned though about the 31 degree 7 iron, but clearly I'm getting plenty of spin because I'm able to hold greens with a 230 yard 4 iron. 😄
