Just thought I'd throw my guess in the pot... I believe the "This is not a dry dock" plaque means it's not "dry" as in a "dry" county where you cannot buy alcohol. I think the sign is saying liquor is available on the dock (at a marina). :o)

Lol I thought you had added a ship fog horn sound for emphasizes after finding the "this isn't a dry dock" sign. (Furniture being moved). Adapters are fairly cheap for that record player

Sadly I agree with you on the dolls. Just the other day I found an old composition doll at the Goodwill. She had to be from the early 30’s/40’s. Just picking her up you could feel the history of the doll. I e-bayed her and the similar dolls were only $8 & that was the top price. I actually felt really sad when I put her back. I don’t collect dolls so better to leave her for somebody who will really appreciate her, hopefully.

Danni, the clear glass dome or cloche could have been the dome for the apple cheese board you put in your cart. I have several vintage cheese trays I’ve collected over the last year that came with the dome. I’m pretty sure but the dome cloche are used now in vignettes as I also have many cloches that I add to my decor.

Funny llama fact…I spent over five weeks in two trips to Ecuador. The first trip I saw one Llama tied up on the side of the road just out side of Quito. Even with extensive travel throughout the country never saw another one. A few years later I moved to Ohio and a farm had three of them. One black one brown and one white. They were in walking distance from my house!

My husband has been to Ecuador many times and brought us jackets made from Alpacas. I thought they were the same as llamas. He never saw any either because he said they’re up in the highlands, not so much where he was. I’ve seen more here too on a friends farm

Which reminds me to tell you how lucky you are that the Goodwills in Vegas have senior discounts every day, and that they're 40 percent off. Here in Baltimore, the senior discount is only 30 percent and only on Wednesdays. Also, Baltimore area Goodwills no longer have daily color tag discounts. The only discount offered at all is the once-a-week 30 percent off for seniors. So count your many discount blessings, my thrifting friend! :o) Oh, and... Merriest of Christmases to you and yours!

Wow… you pass up quite a few items when you don’t find their top. Well, sometimes people are searching kids/tops because they broke them, and all they have is a bottom! Maybe do a trial run and list the bottoms when you find them, or the tops when you find them. You’ll be surprised how many people are searching out there for a mate, Especially those high and items you come across quite frequently. Just something to think about.

I made one too that had rice in the bottom. It was in an article in Woman’s day or Family Circle that came with the pattern . I remember the article saying kids were always told “Don’t touch” nativity sets. That struck a cord with me. I do think the Fisher Price sets are cute. But there’s something about handmade ones that are memories just as you said.

@The NICHE Lady the cloche only covered the ceramic area, to keep the cheese (or cheeseball) fresh. Some of the ceramic pieces are removable so they can be refrigerated prior to serving :)

The flying pig reminded me of youtuber reseller Dagney w/ Flying Pigs. When you picked up that boat thing & someone moved furniture across the floor, it sounded just like you put in a soundtrack of a boat's fog horn 🤣 & I wasn't looking @ my screen when you matter-of-factly said, "there's poo(h) on the shelf" & i thought, surely not & why is she so nonchalant about it & looked up while you were picking up a pooh bear figurine 🤣🤣🤣 Congrats on being in the old girls club. That crocheted Fresca outfit on that Horsman doll….That’s just awful! & awfully funny! 😆 I once picked up a very old Horsman and regretting I sold it for such a low price bc it had head movement with a WOODEN WINDER and it may have had some music too…I can’t remember. Those are very rare. The big downside is that the clothes she came in were ratty and probably not the originals. But if you come across really older ones again, you may want to also do a Google search. Even with low values currently, I expect older vinyl dolls (and certainly the composite ones,) are certain to bring higher values at some point. As they say, they’re not making anymore. I expect the usually boxed porcelain reproduction dolls that are so plentiful at thrift stores to take decades before they get any real value…especially the ones that were made by a “no name” manufacturer. Gorham made some beautifully detailed, very high quality porcelain dolls for the collectibles market, but even those don’t have the kind of values you would think.

The Somayaki mug is worth about $25. It's larger than most. I have quite a few pieces of this Japanese insulated cut out china... tea cups, cookie plates, tea pot, cream and sugar and an ashtray [I don't smoke and neither does anyone I know... but hey, it's pretty]

Dry dock is a pun. Boats have to be taken out of the water to be maintained. Repainted, engine work ect. This is called dry dock. Dry also of course means no alcohol. "This is not a dry dock" means alcohol is being served. Common boaters pun where I grew up.

You sure do pick up and buy a lot of cheap-looking items...I'm hard-pressed to believe that you actually sell a lot of the stuff you grab and buy. You are certainly far from being an expert regarding the value of antique, vintage and second-hand items. Kind of frustrating watching this. I sure hope you are able to sell some of this junk. Not sure where you got the "value" prices for some of the things you purchased, but just you post them in your video as being a certain value certainly doesn't mean that's what you're going to get for any of them. (If you saved your money instead of spending your money on stuff that you don't really NEED or have a guaranteed reality of selling, you could use that money to fix your car so that you wouldn't need to leave the motor running in the summer and winter....especially since gas is SO expensive right now.

Well aren't you a bundle of joy! You be hard pressed all you want but I've been doing this most of my life. It's all about knowing your customer base and what they will buy. My values come from researching actual SOLD prices on Ebay and Worthpoint. Please let me know your experience and how you can say I'm not qualified? Oh and LOL! I run the car to keep cool and warm not because of any mechanical issue! Goodness I'm sorry for whatever has made you such an unpleasant commentor.
