In Scotland we protect the pike and we do have loch with many species in them . Sometime pike can be good for waters as they also pray on dead fish and scavenge and eventually clean the waters . A bit like crows on our roads .
Oh I definitely agree! Just here in Utah we have a protected species called the June sucker that is native to Utah lake and it’s tributaries, the pike here are invasive and have a kill order on them, I wish we could release them
I caught something similar to that down on the lake off the Davis Dyke about fifteen years ago. Took it to the DNR , and they told me it was a hybrid that got released (that wasn't supposed to be). It was actively feeding in the white bass schools.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But my second time going to this spot today revealed that they are putting up a fence around it. Talked to the guy putting up the fence. Apparently, the owner is planning on having sheep and goats on the spot. Bummer...
Nice to see you again, there is nothing wrong with taking a break. Nice fish I have seen allot of pike come out of Utah lake this year. I love it! Great job!👍
I have to admit i found this spot based on the tops of those buildings lol. I will definitely keep it a secret! But i had to come back and say i got my first pike!! I wish there was a way for me to send you a picture. Tight lines brother im always down to fish if you ever need a buddy!
Question, I have been after them since the last ice season. But I can even find where they are and I keep seeing people catching them. Where should I go????????
