I’m tired of making these videos and talking about it but someone needs to do something. Even if I have to be the sacrificial lamb, so be it. It just kills me to know that others have to be going through something similar and this is their livelihood! RU-vid is treating its creators horribly.

The powers that be obviously cow tow to labels. They are getting to be like the BBC of the 50s on swearing ,writers had to limit the number of swear words in a play etc. How can they limit Harry Mack. It also sounds as though they have handed things to a computer who has no nuance just word triggers ,it's making You tube boring. Keep fighting.

Yup, my 3 monetized channels have all been hit with this “Limited” BS. F that, I appealed all those Limited claims and appealed 2000 copyright claims to all of my videos. It’s an enormous pain, but unfortunately it has to be done. One way to have a slight chance to monetize copyrighted content, is to appeal the claims as Fair Use and politely ask the claim holders. I’ve had claims released from a small amount of artists like Upchurch for example. So what I’m gonna do, is cover Upchurch’s content, and the other’s that let me monetize, for as long as I make content.

Man I’m sorry to here this. It’s becoming absolutely ridiculous bro. I think you’re going about this the right way by using this platform to bring your viewers to another. Very smart. I’ll eventually probably have to do the same. What really gets me is that there are people who quit their full time jobs to create content and these rules keep changing in the favor of bigger channels/ the platform. I'm completely on your side with this Cliff. It also goes beyond the rap game, though. If their limitations are "you can not swear", and just that, what about Markiplier? Jacksepticeye? Ludwig? Other gaming channels who curse up a storm and no one bats an eye? If it's just aimed at reaction channels, that's discriminatory against the culture of not only reaction channels, but literally art itself, due to art being freedom of expression. Hearing input over the years, I feel like this is what youtube does to new channels when they feel it might be a problem, which is unfair, because you gave them NOTHING to be concerned about! Cliff, your channel & positive msgs kept me sane when I couldn’t see my family for 2yrs during Pandemic. I remember when all your Eminem videos just disappeared. Wish there was a way I could know when watching an ad supports your channel vs YT. My fav breakdowns are Em songs but I know you don’t make $ from those ads so I skip when YT lets me but always watch on other videos bc you don’t have Patreon & I want to give back to you in some way what you’ve given me. A high powered lawyer needs to reach out to every YT creator to start a class action lawsuit against the platform for anti trust. How can it be legal to offer a service, have a massive amount of people sign up, and then make money off their work while screwing the creators? Rumble is just about as good as YT. Not sure about monetization, but if they get big enough, sure it won't be an issue. RU-vid needs to be hit where it hurts. Everyone needs to leave it.

It's absolutely ridiculous, and I'm sure it's disheartening. I don't understand why RU-vid would want to make things more difficult for the same people providing content that profits their company. I just found this -- watched it all the way through & then i had a kind of weird thought which came to me because i had just watched a 3-part series on when Elvis snuck away to meet Nixon @ White House -- & the thought was w-all that's going on w-the youtube issue, i'll bet dollars to doughnuts that if Elvis was alive this youtube issue would be resolved in 20 min. & there would be no youtube issues for anyone. We had a 10 year old who saved his mom and sister by finding a cell phone to dial 911!!!!!! BUT ALSO why I didn’t watch ANYTHING (like music reactions etc)really for a week or so. I COULDN’T just had to watch “sappy” stuff 🤣🤣🤣 or some of my horse movies or shows. Ok pen drop or fingers lol. CLIFF I mean it if y’all ever come to the south or close we gotcha. At least can make sure you eat the right places and go the cool places etc. Same goes for TN,AL, OR FL. (LA I only know the Baton Rouge, Lafayette, West Monroe, and some of New Orleans lol) and well know plenty on TEXAS ESPECIALLY HOUSTON, DFW, & well anywhere these is a horse arena or “gas/oilfield” or people 🤣🤣 which is almost the whole state. First off, be easy and much love in your general direction. Second, I know a few other folks dealing with seemingly arbitrary demonetization issues on random youtoob videos as well. I have an eclectic mix of channels I follow. One was a chef talking about food safety on a video sent to him that’s on youtoob. Bizarre. I think it was some fair use claim or whatever. Sorry I got no solutions, fam. But I’ve noticed it happening more over the year especially with smaller subscriber number channels. Third, I can, I think at least, sympathize with trying to keep the positivity of the mental candle burning to keep the intrusive darker thoughts at bay, and then some d-bag(s) come along trying to blow it out and the frustration that comes along with protecting that light that reminds us to be our better selves. Although, my well of spite runs deep, that’s why we put warning signs around it (talk about how we feel to people who are willing to listen and sort it out before a bridge gets set on fire.) Take care, fam. Like my ol’ friend used to say, “Be easy, and avoid bringing out the demons in a pot of shit we keep tucked away in the archives of the noodle bucket. Unless you have no other choices.” Cheers ❤️

The thing you have to remember about is RU-vid it’s self isn’t the one the putting restrictions in place. It all comes down from record labels and license holders who demand an action be taken against your channel for whatever reason. The last year has been a very volatile year as Sony, Warner, and Universal are in several law suits over copyrights. Not only with corporations like bang energy and tik tok but also individual content creators. I think labels are starting to see they are losing to an independent market and will seize every penny they can get their hands on. Find an entertainment industry lawyer and just have a sit down with them and go through your channel. Some fights you can win and some you can’t. Keep grinding brother!

There's a lot of reaction channels that are dealing with this stuff. IMO I think RU-vidrs should ban together and figure out some way to fight back, like unionizing. Get some kind of representation that can strong arm the D-bags at RU-vid that want to screw over the little guys that do all the work that makes them so much money from advertising. If enough people stand up and fight back RU-vid will either concede and stop the BS or they will lose a lot of support and then it wouldn't matter how many advertisers they bring in if they lose millions of viewers and content creators.

Don't have a channel, but I do know of several former music reaction channels that have veered away from music reactions, because of all the BS RU-vid puts them through. These are the kinds of people who quit a day job to make RU-vid a full time gig, exactly the thing you're trying to defend by not putting up with RU-vid. I'm glad you have the day job still, as I think it helps put you in a better spot to combat them on this issue. You'd think they'd be more open to the idea of sharing revenue more freely, as its more money all around. Sadly, the standard business model is so focused on greed, once a business gets to be above a certain size.

Yes they rolled out a new guideline that applies to all of our old content. So we needed to predict the future to know this was going to happen. Most channels are getting hit for cursing and being demonetized.

This how I see YT treat it's creators is one of the biggest reasons why I have been pushing forward with putting up my own channel. It has started to feel like they are in war with the people who are making money for them. But I guess that is what greed does. They are doing everything they can to prevent the creators from getting the add revenue what they should be entitled since YT forces those adds on the videos. They only get that income because there are people working hard with creating content for this platform. They would be nothing without those people.

I do gaming/comedy (try to lol) hit with the same thing. Limited ads, now vids aren’t being pushed to nearly as many people. They changed policy December 1 with the swearing and that is what they nabbed me for cuz I’ve always been the same as you just say what comes to mind. I’m hoping if we accurately rate our vids (from what I can tell) for 90 days things will go back to normal

I seen Ryan drop a dono for a channel an that channel had to pay taxes on the full amount but the creator only got like 40% of that dono... an they took a channel away from someone for no reason. He got a email recently that his strike was removed and the video was now able to make revenue from. Yet they took that channel away. RU-vid will become MySpace.

yeah I only had one video that was claimed for the Shook Ones instrumental & it literally got shadow banned, was annoying cause was this Pokemon Rap God / 5 Finger challenge sub special I did messing around for fun & it basically was throttled & was dead in the water.

Basically you have to utilize youtube like a billboard for your content. Use youtube to push traffic to another platform like Rumble. Utilize live streams for super chats and generate revenue that way and just take whatever you get from youtube as a bonus. Then you can use the content how you want. Also a live stream will allow you to engage with chat and naturally generates your own actual content instead of reacting to content people can use to control your channel.

I am now pissed. This content genuinely help ppl. The reactors I discovered cause they were reacting to Harry Mack back when I was getting clean cold turkey, were a big help in distracting me from that nagging voice in my head pleading that I make a call and light up that glass pipe just one more time. Beyond that their are reactors like you that reach out and make your channels a mental health outreach as well as an entertainment outlet. It's fucked , the whole thing is fucked man. The majority of you reactors are doing more good than you and certainly RU-vid / Google know. HEY GOOGLE... what the fuck happened to "Don't be evil." ??? On my old channel i posted my own small animations with selfcreated soundtrack. I got copyright striked from every angle and video's got blocked in most countries for every posible reason they could think. (Never knew a video of my aquarium fish could get striked for nudity) All my animations were self created, non sexual, non agressive, non hate. I gave up on trying and abandonded the channel six years ago because RU-vid killed the fun i had of sharing my creative work. It pains me to hear how your in a battle with them. You are not te only one. RU-vid 'knows' they will always have content creators and is trying to leach from the hard work we do for their free money.

The real issue is YT is run in a way that they don't want anything to do with small people and channels if the don't make family friendly content for a certain age group. If your real in anyway or say or show anything that is real they actually do everything in there power to deter you from using their platform, while being two faced telling you they understand how you feel or they are trying to help. If you don't fit in their box your fucked.
