A couple things. First I am glad you are pleased with the new truck. Outside of committing assault I hope you let that driver have it. I would also let the dealer have it as well. Delivering that truck by that guy is the most unprofessional thing I have ever hear of. And finally, you have so much more patience than I would have had.
I'm honestly surprised you didn't call the Police to report it as Stolen when he called you the first time telling you he's going to be late because he's sight-seeing... I would have... Well, actually, I'd have told the bugger he has 6 hours (or however long it is to the agreed upon delivery time/date) to get that truck to my home as originally agreed or it gets reported as Stolen...
That truck was a surprise, but quite logical when you explain your plans for it. Would be really nice to keep the red truck if at all possible. When you are depending on one truck to meet your commitments, it will eventually punt on you at a bad time and is really nice to have a backup you can jump into and still keep the business rolling and the money coming in.
Congratulations Casey that's a beautiful truck! And the autoloader is sweet! Very very nice! Liked! Stinks the guy delivering it was being a jerk about the last 20 miles and all of the additional days he delayed you. I'm sure you gave him a verbal beat down at the Walmart
My dad would say about his route.. like a dog going to Sunday school. Didn't see any blood on your jacket. I would have had a two foot attitude adjuster. Then show him the pretty desert.
My set up is the exact same, you'll love it. I have a lift and tow wheel lift on a silverado 2500 with a set of collins dollies in the bed. Even has the gooseneck set up like yours. I fit a tool box in the bed, 2 spare dolly tires, the collins dollies, and a 5 gallon fuel can, with plenty of room to spare and without covering the gooseneck hitch.
Congrats on that beautiful truck, Casey!! You deserve the best and comfortable, too. I always said that if I ever won a lottery I'd buy myself a big ole Dodge Ram 4x4 Deisel Truck!!! I'm only 4ft 8 inches tall ( lol) my sister who is an inch taller than me had a Dodge Ram Diesel to pull her horse trailer and bales of hay and bedding. She loved that truck until some idiot t- boned it!!!
I’m really happy for you!! You are very deserving!!!! I hope it’s everything you want it to be and that it serves you well!! I watch your videos every single day. I’m hooked.
CASEY YOU DESERVED THAT NEW TOY, NOTHING LIKE BUYING SOMETHING FOR ONES SELF AND BEING ABLE TO SHOW IT OFF. CANT WAIT TO SEE RILEYS REACTION. ( CONGRATULATIONS )
So glad that you finally got your new truck Casey! Maybe you can use it for off road repos. New tagline"You can mud, but, you can't hide from this repo man." Have a great day.
That's what I'm talking about I just ordered one of those for my F-350 congratulations very nice to have the convenience of Towing and daily driving all at the same time 🙌🏿
@@CaseyLaDelle I'm very excited to hear a review from you in a few months because I have both sides some friends of mine have lift and tow while others have Little Hercules I have a sneaker lift which is not even in business anymore 😂 great job and great by can't wait to hear about what it can do and the reliability
Its a good wheel lift. I've had mine for about 4 months now with only 1 issue. The L arms lose pressure and start to open up after sitting for awhile or when driving at highway speeds. They tried to help me diagnose it over the phone and sent me some parts to replace but none of them fixed it. So when I am on long trips without a car loaded I have to remember to retract the arms every 30 minutes or so, otherwise they will start to stick out. Doesn't effect the actual use of the wheel lift or anything, just kinda annoying.
Hey Casey; I am soooooooooooo glad that you're not gonna do repo work or parking-infraction-type towing --- those business-dealings are so fraught with opportunistic corruption that you don't wanna be associated with any of it. Stick to straightforward "cut-and-dried" (i.e., totally customer-requested) tow jobs and you should be fine. :)
I'm not a fan of the black color either, but I don't think you should go white. White will blend in with the snow and make it hard to see. Maybe you should stick with the red theme? Side note: You know it's an awesome truck b/c the previous owner had such a hard time letting it go :P
The time you buy a second tow truck is the time you hire a Minion you trust to drive the red tow truck and expand your business (and/or can run that much more equipment at a REALLY nasty Job Sites that need more than one truck to handle)...
my brother bought a loaded LeMans the seller had an emergency family issue. 24 hr hold on exchange. she went over a speed bump damaging the oil pan. 6,000 and a month later he received the car. he sold it a yr later buying a Ford
Hell yes ! That is a real nice truck , personally I really like the black. I have had black vehicles and know how hard they are to keep clean but when they are clean they sure do look nice. Sounds like the dealer that you bought it from was a total butt head in getting it to you. Congrats Casey!
All scratches and other damages are unbearably visible on a black, the shinier the more they show! Maybe if you put some hundred kilos of clear coat on it - like a four-inch thick layer possibly...
So,, how many sightseeing miles as opposed to a delivery mileage. Nice unit but,,, can you maneuver that bus in the backwoods? I have a 02 F-550 4dr 4wd DRW 156,000 in 20 years, always had other vehicles. Keep the Ford as it appears to me to be a very utilizable unit.
Congratulations Casey! that is a sweet new truck! Can't wait to see how you deck it all out! FYI if you ever start a sub channel that may or may not be PG13 I am in ;-)
@@CaseyLaDelle a second channel could also be good for extended footage of recoveries and other adventures. I don't know enough about what is involved with the editing process to put your videos together, but if it didn't require lots of additional time for you, I imagine there being some interest in seeing longer versions of the jobs you do or the beautiful areas you work in. A little bit of Austin Unchained would also be pretty funny 😁
How I wish I were a fly on the wall when U2 guys met up please share with us the number of miles he put on your truck I am for size your truck. Well I’m happy for you that you finally have it I really enjoy your commentary. Oh,Please tell me you inconvenienced him in such a way that he had family with him certainly looks like nobody spent any time cleaning the inside of the truck go to been a fly on the wall hate to repeat myself with that had to be good
Congratulations on the new truck! To be honest, I love that 7.3 liter Ford. However, your new truck is super! All the best with it! If Diesel wouldn’t be that expensive (like all other sorts of fuel) here in Germany, I would immediately give an offer for your Ford 😀 Cheers!
*NICE TRK & SETUP....* IDK if u did research on this style sneaky wheel lift, but Detroit wrecker has the best designed, built & warranty on theirs(esp the proprietary bushing used). Idk the price of ur lift & i understand money & other items does effect choices.....this is still a beautiful, sneaky, badass, go get um' truck!!!! ENJOY IT BRO!!!
@@CaseyLaDelle Sorry u felel that way, I'm extremely familiar w/wheel lifts & the diff manufacturers of them & know 100% theirs are better. This isn't marketing, it's physical evidence when I lift is tested w/specific tools/scales to higher tolerances then every other manufacturer. They do have a full lifetime warranty on all their property bushings, as well as the rods are lifetime Warranty as well. They are the only co to use oil lite bronze bushings. When you can put excessive weight on your tubes, that does bend other manufacturers tubes, how is that not better, stronger, beefer?? I'm not going by what someone tells me, I'm going by watching it myself, if that doesn't make them better in anyone's eyes, then I'm wasting my time talking & explaining.
@@BillBlast7372 their bushings are nothing new or "proprietary", they've been used in many different industries for many years before Detroit Wrecker ever even heard of them. Detroit Wrecker is quite literally a copy of Lift And Tow. They sold, installed, and serviced, Lift And Tow as well as Dynamic units on customers vehicles back before they were a manufacturer. And as far as the best design, neither Detroit Wrecker or Lift And Tow win that category, as they both have a serious design flaw. The Hytech Sneaker is by far a better lift than both of them.
Great engine. Congrats it’s a good looking truck. Hope you have better luck then I’ve been having with those transmission doing my snowplow business in the winter. I have old 2004 f 350 that’s holding up better then my new dodge trucks
@@larrybe2900 yea but the wrap will protect the paint when doing off road recoverys. Also Casey doesn't do repos so the color being black shouldn't matter much...
Really nice truck. Who makes the tow lift that is on this truck? I am looking forward to more off road recoveries because the scenery out there is fabulous. Congrats and God bless
Congratulations Casey, that's an awesome rig 👍 That set up for towing is really clever and with the additional tow point in the bed for the goose neck, you have a super versatile and comfortable truck for all sorts of jobs. How is the rear lifter mounted? Is it to the chassis rails?
@@666kty3 you had me worried!! I checked the Carfax before I bought it and didn't see anything bad, but there was one MAJOR lie told to me by the dealer so I wouldn't have been surprised
First thing I'd do is take it to a no touch carwash and get the undercarriage washed.. those Dodges have a thing about weight reducing from the underside
Congrats very nice truck ,very unprofessional, and inconsiderate of the other guys, peace safety and prosperity in the future, God bless you all, in JESUS name Amen 🙏
Nice truck!! Sorry you had such a bad experience with that shady dealer. I guess you probably got to try out the auto loader on your wife's Jeep on the way home.
Casey nice dodge ram with the cummins,, but it isn't trouble free. Google Fleece coolant bypass or you tube fleece by pass... there is a known and documented issue with the cooling at the #5 #6 cylinders.. they do not get full cooling as #1#2#3#4 do. if you tow or pull heavy loads, it will over heat.. thus where the fleece coolant by pass comes in and is installed to keep #5 #6 cylinder jackets cool.. its fairly cheap to do and isn't that hard.. but it is cheap insurance vs a overheated and blown head on a Cummins.
The delivery guy is lucky because you could've reported the truck as stolen since he is late with his delivery of your truck that you own. Sure he might have been doing his job but by the sounds of it he was joy riding in it when he should've been doing his job and you had every right to get your property back and if the delivery guy wants to throw a fit he has no leg to stand on.
Yeah, it’s your new truck and you just got it. However, he already took it on a tour so that nice new truck of yours is not nice new truck anymore. It’s already been well driven.
Can you add one of those pinchers to any full size truck? Super stealth.. definitely seems more suited for repos How much you selling your old tow truck for?
