On behalf of the black tee association, I thank you for testing the two cendol stalls. I admit I always end up at the popular Michelin hyped stall. But for my next trip from KL to PG, I will try the other one. Sometimes we gotta give it to the underdogs. That's the interesting part of discovering new things in Penang.
If you want cendol with corn, you can ask for cendol jagung (corn). If you want cendol with durian, you would need to ask for cendol durian (yes, durian in the cendol - although this is usually only available near or at areas with durian stalls).
@@the.yellow.princess and if you would like to have more items with the shaved ice (apart from the palm sugar, red beans and grass jelly in cendols) like roasted nuts, black jelly, syrups and ice cream, then you would need to go for the air batu campur (ABC) / ais kacang. the variants for that are endless. personally, i prefer cendols, less complicated.
I'm old school and don't like any extras in my cendol - only the green noodles, coconut milk and palm sugar. You can't really go wrong with coconut and brown sugar in fact we have several other desserts that are various combinations of coconut and brown sugar and one or two additional ingredients.
😢😊 U can start one stand Chendol stall in USA,,.seems look like lots of Singaporean visitor. Chendol is more deli with more corn and ice cream. U should buy Samsung
Chendol is best enjoyed when the ingredients are nicely mixed. Use to get a bowl of chendol for RM0.80 in my town. then it went up to RM1.00 and later to RM1.20. this comes with coconut milk, brown sugar syrup, chendol jelly, pink jelly, pink miniature jelly balls and Jagong (Corn). And then Diabetes attacked me and sort of "colonized" me. BTW., you are seriously getting tanned. Keep away from the scorching Sun.
the original cendol only has the green wormies, beans, palm sugar , coconut milk and ice. The corn etc are variation of it usually found in another popular local dessert called ABC/ice kacang.
wow 2 big servings in 1 go. 😮 I’m a cendol lover and what i noticed is usually nyonya and chinese sellers(not everyone) won’t have corn in their cendol. Maybe cause cream corn might change the flavor abit? Whereas mamak and malay sellers will usually add corn in it.
