I agree with what others are suggesting - you're probably better off not having carpet and putting flooring that's water resistant or at least allows for easier cleanup. And then putting down removable rugs or something for sound dampening purposes. It'd be a lot less labor intensive, too.

All comments like this should be pinned. lololol Mine included.. Carpet's friggin horrible, there's absolutely zero in my house, it's all wood floor, or Plywood treated, painted and shellacked, with area rugs.
I have a theory that Brandon might have just a whole bunch of sets that look exactly like his room and he makes a new set every video or he could just have a maid that cleans or he cleans and also after the video he's regretting his decisions of making this mess.
The fact that the rooms are immaculate (because of Brita) even with all the damages done to the house is ridiculous seeing as it has only been around a year since Brandon had bought it.

You should just take out the carpet and pour a concrete or resin floor. Then you can put an area rug on top if you wanted and it would be easier to take out and clean :)

Put water resistant flooring in that room and buy rugs to clean if you want something down instead of carpet. Also, it does look like mold in your garage so I’d have that looked at & cleaned.

I’ve been thinking u should take out the carpet anyway. Put down bamboo or polish that concrete! Then just use rugs to absorb sound and u can throw them in the wash.
You could be having an allergic reaction from the carpet in that room, the carpet that's been tainted by all of your recent videos and the subsequent mold that's grown for it. From CDC: "exposure to molds can lead to symptoms such as stuffy nose, wheezing, and red or itchy eyes, or skin. Some people, such as those with allergies to molds or with asthma." Yup, remove it all an consider the messy stuff to be done outside :) :)
I had coughing, sneezing, runny and stuffy nose, scratchy throat, loss of voice and coughing up blood from mold exposure but luckily it only lasted like a week maybe two. It was definitely alarming to see the blood though.

the mold in the garage there is a spray for that its like a sealer you can clean it and then spray it on comes from the humidity. I also want to say keep up the great work stay safe stay awesome .
If it helps, I work for a mitigation company - the first thing you have to do is find the source of the moisture/what's feeding the mold (example: roof leak) - once you have the root of the issue resolved, then you can attend to the discoloration - if you do it too early, it's like a cat chasing its tail, because if it is a roof leak/for example and you get another rain and it "feeds" the spot again then the discoloration is back. So once you resolve the root of the issue - unless it's larger then a 10sq ft area (ie: size/span of a dining room table) - then you can treat the area with over the counter mold killer from your local Home Depot or Lowe's - if it's larger then that, then you could benefit from having a mitigation company come around and check out the issue. Question why not just have that room have hard flooring so you can still make messes and have to worry less about a carpet sucking up liquids and getting mold, they have "spill resistant tile floor" also its easier to clean then a carpet as well, And if there is mold easier to see?

Just do hard floors & get big rugs if you need carpeting for filming. It would be a lot easier to remove. Just take one out to get it cleaned before it gets too bad & put another one in there.
Opinion as someone who has delt with moldy carpet. Put in wood floor and use a rug. Carpets contain a lot of allergens and the mold will keep coming back given the stuff you do and you will have to keep replacing it. Hope you start feeling better soon ❤
@@MsBluebot that's true but properly sealed wood flooring would last longer and collect less allergens and mold. Best option would probably be laminate flooring

for the stunts and silly things that Brandon does, i really think he should put vinyl flooring down. its waterproof, no gaps and easy to clean as it doesn't absorb anything lol
Put down some waterproof flooring. You can get it that looks like hardwood floors & they are really nice. Or maybe move your filming out to one of your buildings so if the floors get yucky stuff on them then it's much easier to clean lol. You could even make a room in just one area that's strictly for filming. That way the house stays mold & mildew free. 💜

Yeah it's best to remove it. And if you are coughing a lot really hard to the point of seeing black spots, please see your doctor, it may be possible you need an inhaler, this happened to me.
The amount of lube, "root beer float", alligator bits, and literal pond water that is unavoidably still in that carpet is.... well I'm happy you ripped it out. For your health.

With all the bits you do getting rid of the carpet will be the best bet. If not you'll just continue to get mold. Mold exposure can cause a lot of issues others then just getting you sick
Get carpet tile after each recording you can shop vac the room and remove the damp tile to air out. We have them and they are so much easier to take care of than having to replace your carpet 2-3 times a year or possibly more. Put sound room foam on the wall behind the camera.
Brandon Please consider getting your iron levels tested, what you described sounds a lot like aneamia which is a fairly easy fix but if not you'll know to further investigate.
Get the replaceable mats they have at daycares. That shit is sturdy, easy to clean, and comes in fun colors. Plus it's easier to replace 2 sq feet instead of 30 at a time
