I guess everybody with a mind for animals und nature likes Spiders as long as he is not confronted by them. I mean even Spider owners do not like their Pocie or OBT is outside of their enclosure.
I hate spiders. Cant stand them really. But.. If I happen upon one In the house, aside from a Brown Recluse or Widdow, I'll always handle It and take them outside. It's honestly such a great feeling to face you're fears.
Eric Harbour I personally think snakes are more wild. Can you imagine that they’d x-ray the package to ship on the plane and there’s a whole snake. More people are afraid of spiders but they are so small
You can also find fishes, shrimps and crabs delivered by mail. Sadly around 30% to 50% of them die during the shipping but people don’t care. A guy from UK offered me hundreds of dollars to buy one of my shrimps (rare color specimen) but I refused it. With the variations of temperature, bumps and scratches made during transport and no other shrimps she would probably die with a maximum level of stress. Some animals can be delivered without damages but I feel really bad for them, imagine the fear and stress, it’s almost animal cruelty.
Your happiness and excitement was contagious. Loved the video. I can confidently say youre one of my favourite youtubers! You always seem SO happy about what you're doing and seem to care so well for your creatures. Thanks for sharing this experince with us 💟
You're right, the last spider was amazing :D The beetles also was spectacular. It's cool when they behave is such a way that you could almost imagine they have a personality.
I have 2 as pets. There so sweet and gentle. And love being handled. So funny that feeling when they first touch you. Now I love the little tickle feeling. Such sweet spiders. Mind you I have a Pumpkin Patch that gets pissed of if you don't let it walk up your arm. She isn't vicious, not bolty. Just likes to be close.
I love everything about "dis" guy. He literally LOVES these animals, respects these animals and "ewenchually' he will own them all and be rich doing it. Thanks for sharing with us so professionally, accurately and with SO much emotion and detail. Absolutely beautiful creatures. You deserve to be on TV. I'm hooked...
That macro lens tho! AMAZING! I would die of fear if I was actually there with u, but those closeups are FASCINATING!! Your arm hair was like a jungle for the beetles!
Hey Petko! I just wanted to thank you for all your content. I used to be a huge arachnofobe but I just got my first scorpion. (Going easy on the tarantulas for now, small steps). I think its great how you manage to help people get past the stigmas towards spiders and such. Keep up the amazing work!
I absolutely adore the love and excitement you get from these arachnids! It is very inspiring. They are without a doubt one of the most fascinating species on the planet once you get past the phobia. The jumper's are precious as can be and so very intelligent. Thank you so very much my friend. You are so inspiring!!
I have pretty ridiculous arachnophobia, but your videos are helping me learn and understand more about spiders. Thanks for making them and sharing your love arachnids.
Evil Conduct try living in Australia. Tarantulas - I love. Huntsmans - teleporting galloping nopes. Though I think I am getting slowly over my huntsmanphobia.
Although I am a very active follower of your channel, I never cease to be amazed. Your videos calm me down so much. I could never expect that spiders and venomous bugs could inspire so much peace. I guess it's because you are peaceful and treat them with such care, that makes us feel good about it too. Good work! Keep them coming!
Huntsmans are pretty common here in Australia, they are usually a coffee brown or a light smokey grey. The largest huntsman ive seen where i live was the size of a small dinner plate (or bread and butter plates, as some people call them)
Huntmans are the first spider I ever wanted (and still want). Even when I still feared anything "creepy crawly" I still adored them. You're excitement was lovely to see! I can't wait to see more of them! So beautiful!
What a cool face on the spider under the macro. The yellow stripes. So cute. I've been binge watching this channel and I love the love for the bugs. (I'm aware they're not all bugs, it just sounds cute...)
4:10 I don't get the thing about davidbowie in latin: they chose to give the spider the name of David Bowie, so it doesn't really have a latin pronunciation...
Quentin Vance well it's not about giving a latin name, but giving a scientifc name - you can basically name the species how you want :-) "chocolatecheescaki" would be my favorite :P
I know that, what confuses me is that is he said "Actually in latin you should pronounce this David Bowie a bit differently" I mean, as far as I know, the scientific name is actually Heteropoda Davidbowie, so I don't really get what Petko meant But I love Petko regardless
Quentin Vance wellt it's not latin, a lot of species name come from a latin or often greek translation, but in the end it is not Latin - just scientific :)
Yeah, I got that. That's why I don't understand why Petko said that thing. If the species name is Heteroposa David Bowie, and it's not latin, then I don't get what he meant about pronunciation.
Love the True Spider content man. Here in Florida we have H. Venatoria and they are extremely common. Heteropoda sp is what got me out of my Arachnophobia and what led me to purchasing my first Tarantula 5 years ago. I enjoy your videos, and I’m glad to see how much your channel has grown in the last year.
I have 3 neosparrasus sp. badged Huntsman and my mature female has an egg sac. I also have a holconia westaustralis with an egg sac. I am Australian and huntsman are really common. Also we can only get native species as pets in Australia
Toms Wildlife you do have some amazing local species in australia though, and i get why you keep the nature pure there but it does suck that you cant have any other species from around the world.
The blue beetles are adorable! I also held a spider today to get it out my aviary... it was tiny but I still felt like a spider whisperer 😜 so thank you Petko!
Being an Aussie and having plenty of experience with huntsmans, I was just waiting for one to bolt. And when that second one did I immediately smiled and thought "there's the huntsman that I know and love"
Ujuani Abelsen The fastest i’ve had are Linothele. They teleport, it’s insane. I would recommend them to any collector, they cover the enclosure in web overnight.
Just found your Chanel today, your videos are awesome!!! I had a rose hair for 5 years but my ex made me get rid of it when she moved in, but now she has moved out and I'm going to get an A metallic pink toe, an arizona blond tarantula and also a sling Hournduran curly hair on Saturday. I'm stoked, it's awesome to see that other people get as happy as I do with spiders I can tell by your reactions you really love spiders. Thumbs up👍 good shit man.
You are awesome!!! just need to say thank you... you inspired me and my brother to get our first scorpions... we both got an emperor scorpion and i just need to say thank you for showing me how awesome these creatures actually are!!!
After living in Australia and seeing all of our huntsmans literally galloping across the surfaces at the slightest spook..then seeing that one so chilled..its just not computing in my head.
Hello from San Francisco, California!i am terrified of spiders, but love them. However, you are the reason I became a sub. You have fun, in your own way. But, it’s a genuine fun and I can tell that you really love all of these scary animals. Keep up the great job.
I grew up in rural NSW, Australia. Their was always alot of BIG huntsman around. I remember closing our car door once and the biggest huntsman I've ever seen to date was sitting there. It was about as big as my dads hand light brown and very furry compared to other huntsman. We just left it there, it was very impressive:)
Admitting that you're not quite ready for a Brazilian wandering spider, and that you want to wait until you've had plenty of experience with the huntsman is very sensible and shows your respect for the animals. More people should take note instead of rushing in, not really knowing what they're doing.
I love this video I think the reason they tolerate u, is becuz they sense vibration, and potentially ur emotions as well so they sense kindness, and happy vibes from you
I honestly had no idea that there were different species of huntsman! I have no idea why I never looked into it before lol but wow! These new additions are gorgeous!
Those beetles are adorable. I bet they weren't afraid of you because they are used to people or they feel those good vibrations you put off by just being you. I'm going with the latter! All I've heard about the Huntsman is that they are super docile and chill....Thank goodness huh?
Ermmmagherdddd I got so much anxiety when that second spider ran away 😂😂 I was screaming over here. You are so calm, a great spider daddy characteristic ❤️ I would prob terrify my spiders haha.
Man I enjoy your vids so much! I grew a lot of respect for any spider I come by! Even the big black fast ones (looking kinda simular to the ones in this vid, common house spider here in the Netherlands) dont freak me out anymore. I try to handle them now!
I have the biggest phobia of spiders and all insects. But I love watching your videos. I can’t stop. But I’m still terrified I just find it so interesting!
Just so you know...that packing material was called BIO-PAC peanuts; which means that it dissolves when wet. I worked in a warehouse & it is NOT like regular packing peanuts. Those are supposed to breakdown & dissolve. The regular packing peanuts do not breakdown & tend to create static electricity which cling to everything. Just an fyi!😁
I’m so happy for you & how much your channel has grown! I’m still unsure about all your creepy crawlers (like that centipede thingy- ewwww!! lol) But I do enjoy your vids but it’s also your personality that keeps me coming back! Keep up the good work! Much love from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦❤️
