There's a cave to explore on the shipwreck lot, but my sim just went in and stood facing out. She wasn't a mermaid, so maybe she needs to be? Anyway, she apparently got pulled in by a mermaid right before she came out of the cave. Makes me think there may be more to that if playing a merperson (Let's be honest, they should be called Swims- missed opportunity!)

Adri Void they mentioned in the sims live stream that there is a secret mermaid grotto but they didn’t tell us where it is so we can look for it, they also didn’t mention if it’s a rabbit hole or not but all I know is that tons of mermaids spawn there because it’s a grotto

Cheeseburger In Paradise nope there’s really not. I took my mermaid to the same spot and all she did was disappear into a rabbit hole and then come back an hour later, she didn’t even get any collectibles.

I don't like mermaids either, haha everyone has different tastes. :) when I was little I never liked it. of course, my sister did. I knew they weren't real. and I hated going near*water/*more like showering lol* still do, going swimming was never interset for me. lol

I litterally just spent 40€ just for mermaids😂😂😂! My occults family just met their new sister😊! Niw I wait for realm of magic to finally give powers to the only human of this family😁😂😂😂!

Honestly if you compare any Sims 4 pack with its Sims 3 counterpart you realise just how little you get for the same price. This is why us Sims fans aren't happy with what we've got, because previously we've gotten more for similar prices with less advanced technology. Honestly the game just feels like it's turning into one big cash grab.

Yeah but the sims 3 ended up imploding on itself. It was too good. Game developers are trying to create a functional game this time

@@definitelynotalizard I was really with you on that, but then I saw an interview with Lindasy Pearce and basically she says that they are looking for the long term, whereas in the sims 3 after about 4 expansions the game would explode each time you open it. I do agree on some level, but the amount of features vs the performance on the sims 3 was really shitty.

10 months and what have we got tiny living which I personally LOVE and a rabbit hole known as discover university I honestly think I would pefer a witch game pack vs tiny living bc only thing that makes me love it is the fact that u earn skills faster... university is ok I always play it compared to what’s this called again living on an island I have not played that since I got it and half the time when I’m playing sims four when building I never use island living bc in my personal opinion the stuff wouldn’t be great at a willow kreek house unless u weird so. Yea witch pack would be better let’s hope that’s what we’re getting after the next expansion pack.

@@icw3is sadly no, but because the pack wasn't entirely centered on mermaids and instead on the island theme it's not that bad, would've been nice if they unlocked the songs like witches and fairies in Sims 3

Apparently there's a merwoke system . If the household didn't aware the existence of meraid , mermaids look normal sims to them .

Eh hype or not. Seems like EA half arsed it, I didn't expect much and even I'm sort of like ".....Really?" about what we got.

The thing about it is that they didn't really show anything of the mermaid skills before release. We all just started thinking about how well they did Vampires or even Aliens and assumed they'd do the same for the next occult state.

@@fjdjsjsj1646 there nothing to do in Island living except being a conservationist (which is litterally the whole gameplay of this pack)!! I bought the pack just for the mermaids but except that, the only thing to do in Sulani is saving one neighborhood from pollution! Really feel like a game pack!

Alex De la Loire I bought the pack and there is a lot to it but honestly for 40 bucks they could’ve added more cas and build buy and at least a mermaid cove above the water

@@fjdjsjsj1646 ok convince me that except creating a mermaid and saving Mua Pul'am as a conservationist, there are lots more!! I mean for an expansion pack, it feels so empty! At least in city living the CAS, build/ buy mode was full of new items; with new skills; new careers that are interesting and aren't the whole gameplay of the pack; festivals; and living in the appartements are so fun! Here we just have ocean swimming, mermaids, odd jobs, conservationist career (and two rabbit wholes careers) and saving a neighborhood! Really, at least they could do it for the whole archipelogo! They could have added some island features like traditional talent showcases that are very common in lots of islands (from polynesia to infian ocean Islands) it lacks of something to be truly an expansion pack, even vampired and jungle advendture feel lits more like expansion packs compared to island living! This pack doesn't even affect the whole game! Convince that there is a lot more to do in this pack and maybe I'll reconsider my opinion on it!
