i hate the roblox hunt 

if this event came out in 2022 it would have been slammed people are only giving this event a pass because its been a while.

they're taking a step in the right direction, but it's less of a step and more of a dragged foot

Egg hunt 2024 event: -Reused lobby -70% of the games are terrible and made lazy/dmb quests -some games are really grindy (example project smash) -You can earn up to only 5 hats when finishing all 100 games. Worth it? nah

Tbh roblox was "TESTING" how the comminity would react and how they could make it better, so i hope roblox does something to revive the game or the hunt

the maple hospital one genuinely felt like it was written by chatgpt i had no idea what was going on. now it doesn't even work apparently, but even before that, i had to do it twice because the first time i tried it i didn't even get teleported so i couldn't finish it

Honestly I’m so disappointed that almost all of the games they choosed to be in the hunt are just cash grabs, the worst part is that half of the games are so annoying to get the badge

I’ve been doing it for 11 days and on the probably 8-9 day, I started thinking it was real pointless. I don’t know why I tried the hunt, what’s worse is they fill your game plays with the games you joined from portals, taking your previous played games filled with hunts. I really hate this now

Roblox fell honestly I mean, I never went into a single event, but still, even if it's been a while, it's not okay to only work on this event for barely a month

i personally liked how Tower Defense Simulator did it. they remixed an old roblox theme, made a beginner friendly event gamemode that gave basic rewards and the badge, then a harder version for tds veterans that gives previously mentioned stuff and a skin, and they even had a free egg UGC quest (the egg sold out in the first day, but i got it).

honestly it just seems like they said "your in" and that's all. The quality is all over the place. The theme is non existent. And games aren't even required to award items. Okay, that last one was just a me problem.

Keep in mind that this event was just Roblox testing the waters to see what the community wants out of a egg-hunt revival. We can hope next Hunt will be better!

I competed all 100 badges for all the featured games before I even watched a video covering the event. It wasn't THAT bad for me, most tasks I did were relatively harmless, but there were some that were EXTREMELY tedious to get, whether it's because the game barely tells the player what they need to do for the hunt badge, or if the respective tasks themselves are incredibly hard to complete in one way or another.

I’m going insane. I have not slept. My completionist instincts are causing my downfall.

Another thing to mention is that all there weren't even eggs in 95% of the games which makes this event more of just a hunt (which is what it is named) than an actual easter egg hunt event. There were also around 5 official items total. Also, the eggs were limited compared to the others ones that had infinite eggs. I personally think that the eggs were funded by the developers rather than roblox themselves but im not too sure. I hope that timer in the hunt hub will do something actually worth time.

i quit doing The Hunt since it's hell to do, most of the games didn't even try to do anything unique, and almost as if let down their community.

The requrements for the snowboarding obby game to get "the hunt" badge have changed, now you require to complete 100 challenges (aka levels) to get it, so now you need to ACTUALLY play the game.

I said this on another video but... We were all anticipating "The Hunt" to bring back the excitement of true hunting experiences. Remember when you actually had to track down your prey? Yet, it seems most developers have fallen short, delivering games that lack challenge, creativity, and purposeful hunting. Completing all these games leaves me disheartened, as many are simply dull, offering little beyond mindless gameplay. With an abundance of badges, it feels like Roblox is losing its edge, descending into monotony. Sure, there were standout titles like Doors and Arsenal, but far too many fell into the trap of repetition, offering nothing new or engaging. Simulators and tycoons are particularly guilty of this, with their repetitive tasks and lack of genuine hunting experiences. It's disappointing how lackluster the hunt has become, lacking depth and excitement. Developers seem content with mediocrity, squandering the potential for something truly captivating. Why can't we return to the egg hunts of yesteryears, where collecting eggs was a thrilling adventure? Instead, we're inundated with UGCs, making it impossible for everyone to participate. It's time for a change, a return to the essence of what made the hunt special. It's infuriating how so much of this feels like a blatant cash grab, offering nothing but mindless chores or pushing players to purchase their way to victory. Roblox seems desperate, resorting to tactics that prioritize profit over player experience. And don't get me started on the absurdity of waiting around for asteroids, all for what? Another meaningless award? To add insult to injury, they changed the badge requirement from 100 to 95, rendering the grind for those last 5 badges utterly pointless. How incompetent can Roblox be? It's high time they actually put effort into the hunt instead of delivering subpar quality experiences.

Dev hunts can be fun, but if they're gonna try making events they should aim for making a game for the event. Yolktales being a example as the event was based on that game, letting roblox themselves be able to correct things without relying on other devs. But since it costs a lot, i think a alternative would be that players get to VOTE for the game to be in the event (if the owner of the game puts it up to be voted). So high quality games will likely get more votes compare to low quality games.

roblox is doing this as kind of a test too and looking at the feedback theyre gonna like make it better the next hunt

I actually managed to get all of the items (including the golden ones, but not the headphones) and it’s safe to say that this event is REALLY time consuming. Like I am a Roblox and I feel like the time that I’ve wasted with this event could’ve easily been used on my game. A lot of the games shown are either: 1. Ripoffs, 2. Clones, 3. Uninspiring. There has been many games in this event that are straight up copies of one another and has the same methods of getting their badge. I really hope Roblox uses this event as a sort of bucket full of criticism so they can at least listen to what we all have to say, and I’m glad that they are. Edit: I forgot to mention this but there has been some games that were only given 3 DAYS to add their stuff for this event, it’s honestly super crazy

another issue is that some games, you'd have to be experienced in the game to actually get the badge like, say there's a leveling system in a game you'd have to be like level 50 to get the badge itself, and as someone who never played it before, you'd have to level up ALL THE WAY TO LEVEL 50 for a FUCKING BADGE nothing else, no cosmetics, no items, just a badge which sucks for people who ARE trying to get 95 badges to complete it, i feel sorry for those poor souls

One of the things i found awful about this event was the accessibility, half the games weren't even available on consoles which makes it pointless for them, and also the fact that there was hardly any official notice for us, i played Roblox for like 3 days beforehand and didn't even know there was a hunt because it didn't even stand out on the games page. They could have easily given it a space on the roblox console home page or given it its own notice on the lobby, i picked it up one day before it ended because of this and got nothing.

the legends of speed quest is downright lazy, you have to walk for just under a minute and you should get the badge doors and the strongest battlegrounds are the only ones with a lot of effort put in

i hate the event because after i collected all of the badges that are ez to obtain, i began struggling and having trouble getting the harder badges from the games that i do not like playing at all. Aside from grindy ass simulator games and games with totally time consuming quests, there are also games that requires a friend to finish a quest to get the badge and i dont have anyone to help me unfortunately as well as games that are rng based and i hate doing quests that only happens by chance because of the obstacles like players and even RNG AGAIN, even time. I wont be able to reach the last 2 items which is the crown and a faberge egg because of the games that has impossible quests to finish so that is one of the worst events in roblox history.

I went all the way to get 61 bades so far, when at the beginning I said that this was a turn off because of the amount of games to play to get 1 badge. Honestly the only worth item to get are the wings, they're really cool, but of course, I wanted more and I didn't just stop there myself, it gets VERY frustrating as you start running out from the easier games and begin facing the challenging ones.

I think it’s good as a return to events, if only it gets better from here

Remembering all the old Egg Hunt backlash and I reckon they took everything wrong with devhunts and took it to the next fucking level. The one giant game ones were extremely popular for a reason - consistent quality. I remember there being a lot of backlash with about 9-20 games (been so long, hardly remember) and this year they took 100 games and scrapped the eggs. As everyone is saying, it's been so long that everyone is fine with it now. But we CAN'T just keep accepting these subpar events.

I think it’d be best to just give it some time and consideration. It may suck now, but there’s always room for improvement and change, especially now that Roblox has been recently getting a little involved with the community again.

a month ago I would have said the same thing, but now I actually have hope for roblox. 1. the fact that roblox events are back is great and they said they want to improve on them. 2. even if David didn't read the tweets/reviews, at least he knows they exist and if hes ever looking for criticism he knows where to find it. 3. I have more hope for roblox, because they've been doing a lot of good updates lately, or just canceling bad updates. for example they decided to cancel the update where all ugc would have limited quantity. 4. David said himself he's hosting a dinner with RU-vidrs and users who participated in the event to see what they like and didn't like about the event, and what they would like to see in the future for events. so I have hope for roblox. also probably one of the people going to the dinner is terabrite games since there really good at managing events.

ive only played like three of the gam,es but i loved the murderers vs sherrifs duels. there wasnt really a quest, just play different gamemodes and get a kill in each one. i got it in like 10 minutes

tbh the hunt is kinda bad since mostly all the games were absolute DOGWATER (except a few, like doors and arsenal), and I didnt even bother to get all the badges. and the worst one (in my opinion) was the War Tycoon one.

Roblox doesn't feel like Roblox anymore

I was one of the first to complete the event. I spent about 20 hours straight just to not even be in the top 100 finishers. Half the games were unclear on how to get the badge. Honestly I'm not complaining though as it brought everyone together and gave the platform a common interest, if only for two weeks.

As someone who has done some past events that were so much better than this one, Roblox just threw a bunch of stuff together and call It an "Egg" Hunt. 95 badges for like, 5-6 items is insane. I did just like... Two games? It seems like a waste of time to me to get 95 badges for just some items. Hopefully they take this feedback people are giving in consideration and next time make something that can actually bring Og players back to the platform, even tho I'm not one. And who knows, even new players. Also, what is this game on the background gameplay?

Being real, I think this was a "test" but the thing is that the leaks started appearing in the end of february / start of march so I think this was just an rushed event, they will probably do better in the future if they can use their time right, roblox reused a map cuz they didn't have time to make one and they just reached out to random devs and asked to do the hunt event and probably didn't have time to check if the game was good or not ( just a theory tho ).

if they want to do more devhunts they need to do the bare minimum of quality checking. and just have like 50 games. i was personally ok with egg hunt 2020 but i only played 2 games.

Personally I think the worst game on the whole list is Fruit Battlegrounds, yeah you have to kill two people without dying after reaching level 15, in a game full of OP players that will literally one-shot you the moment you leave the safe zone area, and there is no way of defeating them since when you start you have weak abilities and little health compared to them, and it doesn't have free private servers. The only way you can possibly do it is, you have a friend who you can kill, and knowing how little damage the only attack you have does, said friend will have to reset because you literally won't have enough time to defeat said friend twice the conventional way before someone comes over and kills both you and your friend- not to mention how many ragequits it will take for you to reach level 15 and do that achievement.

And the worst part about this whole event it just copied the player 2 ready event which has the same idea of getting free ugcs by doing quests in other Roblox games.

roblox already set their expectations so low so that’s probably why people don’t hate it because it’s finally something “good”

i agree. Roblox needs to 1: stop promoting slop like pet sim 99 2: stop allowing predators, hackers, 4 yr. olds, etc. to be making this app worse 3: stop going straight to a cashgrab like that's the only response Roblox can do because the events turned from great games to promoting predator games
