I can say the same as an Undercover Main. It does take 6 shots to kill me from a .52 Gal, if they shoot at the Canopy, but they can just simply go around it and catch me off guard
I pretty much detest any ranged weapon so e-liter, jet squealcher, hydra splatling, rapid plaster and ballpoint splatling are the ones I dont like facing the most and it honestly mostly because of how splatoon 3 stage design is, it benefits you firing at people from far away and staying safe
Same here... I generally won't play Barnacle and Dime on turf war because good range weapon players can pin you in easily on that map. There really is no escape option other than hope you randomly get a player that will counter their weapons.
The best way to nerf weapons is to exaggerate their weaknesses. Like if a powerful weapon is slow, make it even slower. The opposite is true. Buff the strengths of the weapon so that it can perform as intended.
Way back in the Splatoon 1 days I heard someone describe the 52 gal as feeling like being 1 shoot with lag and I have forever since thought of that every time I face one.
As an octobrush one trick I am rather confused about how octo is good against tetra, tetra outranges octo and can easily back out of its range, and even while in octobrushes "range" it is super inconsistent at a decent distance and even with a 5 shot sometimes just straight up blanks and doesn't deal damage. As for the net code, for me personally I find that it hurts octo more then it helps, if you kill someone with octo it's really hard not to just die after and against weapons like dualies it's almost a guaranteed trade. Even with the fact that they can sometimes deal damage at longer ranges then normal it's so low that it really won't do anything especially against dualies which can dodge roll back once and go from being right infornt of the brush to completely out of its range. I find that dualies are some of the most annoying weapons to fight with octo and am really confused about why you think it's a bad matchup, the only dualies I think octo counters is dapples because of dapples horrific range.
I know exactly why, I'm an inkbrush player and have played a lot of octobrush. I can honestly say I love trying to take on dulies because they can pull off all their dodge rolls, and I can still catch them much easier than I would with a shooter. Rollers and brushes make playing the game for people that aren't good or accurate with shooters possible. Get near them and let them dodge roll, octobrush will get em.
I see a lot of people say "blasters" but even that's not .52 gal bad. Blasters require a shit ton of skill to use-you miss one shot, you're done for. they're strong, yeah, but far from broken.
I hate the blasters too. But if you pick one up and try to use it, you quickly learn that you need skill to wield it. Not true with tri slosher. 0 respect for this weapon. As a stringer main, my nemesis on the field is usually a 4k E Liter or dualies. Sometimes a blobber or explosher...
This is correct. You gotta feel it out! gear is so subjective to play style and player expression. great job with this video. too many gear build videos out there miss the experimental nature of this process. the trial and error is the key!
As a stamper main, I'd just like to say that stamper is only annoying when it's truly played well Of course, there are some things even great players cant win against, such as being ganged up on deep in enemy territory or getting killed by range/rapid AOE
@@Rubellite-jq2kg I hate stamper because of it’s stupid range on the charge slash comboing with burst bomb. Im fine fighting the nouveau kit but can’t stand the vanilla
@@BigPro1123 you should probably try attacking a sword(stamper) player with another teammate and each of you should take different angles if possible, since the ink consumption nerf did hurt its ability to slay quite a bit If it gets too eager and spams 2 burst bombs during the fight, it'll likely end up with no ink left to fight, at which point you can easily finish it off
1: range blaster Because have a ranged wepon with splash is bs 2: custom e-liter When I'm close, they use kraken 3: bablobber They just sit back and shoot blobs, barely interacting with anything 4:clash blaster Once you in its range your dead 5:reflux Has more missiles than korea
My top 5 is: 1. Clash blaster, I hope it never gets a buff unless it gets a rework. 2. 52. Gal, omg is this weapon so annoying. 3. Enperry Splat Dualies, Reason why? Triple splashdown. 4. Clash Blaster, why the hell did they give it splat bomb and trizooka? 5. Clash blaster, it’s probably the most annoying weapon I have ever played against, like ever.
As a hater of 52 gal this video is peek mostly because I run into that garbage when I have very bad streaks and face toxic mains that do not let my team leave the spawn it’s rather upsetting. Nintendo please if we get a splatoon 4 do not give the gals that amount of power
I hate all of these weapons except maybe the Painbrush, for pretty much all the same reasons you stated (Machine’s hitbox, Octobrush’s vision obscuring, Carbon as a whole, Tri being too fast, and .52 as a whole)
I'm an octo brush main and I can agree I hate fighting the painbrush mainly bc it can splat you in 2 shots when it takes me 4 to splat it tho I try to counter that by attacking it either from the side or behind ( just wanted to share my thoughts )
52 gal main here, FUCK the hydra splatling During my struggle for S rank I tried everything from gal to dualie squelchers to wellstring yet I get fucking wrecked by those fucking cowards just standing up there spraying away while being out of reach for most of the time while I'm trying to mind my own fucking business, it got so bad to the point I had enough and made it my life's mission to grab a brush then run up to any hydra splatling user just to CREASE their jordans and make it personal cause if they ain't coming up to fight me, I'll be taking the fight to them instead
Next, you should do weapons as a whole, including special weapons sub weapons main weapons and kits of weapons. It;s hard to explain, but what i mean, is you put in your top 10 least favorite sub, special, main weapons, and specific weapon kits of main weapons, all in the same list.
Honestly I despise splattings 52 gals and snipers mainly because I main n-zap but I learn the maps I can get on the enemy’s base the most kill people on the way then make a distraction at their base so my team can paint but those 3 weapons stop me from ever doing if it’s on the opposite team
There be so many times where I win a fight and am pretty weak like 40 hp and then I just go boom. Because there’s no impact my gut instinct is like, is someone hacking. Then I see killed by 52 and that’s when I realized they were hacking by playing that weapon
Not going to lie, I was expecting Heavy to be on this list. The main weapon and special are very effective against dualies and synergise amazingly together. Then again, wave breaker has been thoroughly power-crept over the course of the game, and the main weapon could use a buff to its shot velocity.
I just don’t get roller’s hitbox sizes, sometimes I feel like I’m far away from the OHKO and still get splatted. ESPECIALLY the dynamo roller, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been killed by that thing because it’s OHKO hitbox is gigantic! I love to play it but sometimes I just feel cheap using it or when players use the dynamo, just feels cheesy. No disrespect to the dynamo players, I just HATE facing them
Kinda strange you're not hating on the 96 gal. It's technically the same weapon as the 52, except the 96 gal has longer range than the 52 gal, and a bit slower fire rate too.
96 has no where near the rng and fire rate that 52 has. 52 is also just way more mobile and faster, making it a lot harder to deal with Not saying 96 isn't annoying but 52 is WAY worse
@@Chase247 Their both the same to me. My issue with the gal weapons is mainly the accuracy, the accuracy is horrible on both. Splattershot and splattershot pro is my main shooters, just has better accuracy. Screw all the gal weapons. I don't see why people use a shooter that has very bad accuracy
Mine most hated are e-liter, painbrush, boblober( I don't know or care if I spelled that right), .5, and the hydra. I mostly hate hydras because of splash zone, cause the can stand at a different zip code and paint the zone and you can do NOTHING about it
i just wish nzap, ttek and the new naut didn’t have homing shots 😭 i know that dont have it but i still always get splatted by them without their shots hitting me :( Also i hate dualies, because most people i play against using them NEVER dodge roll so it’s just a shooter with even less aim required (i like playing against people who use dualies the way they’re intended to lol)
i rlly dont like going against splatlings and gals, i play octobrush so they kinda counter me, oh and tri slosher sometimes, there is chargers to but i can make my way to them its kinda fun
Ok so I’m a very flex heavy player so it’s hard to pick five so from my five most used weapons the five most annoying to fight are, chargers for splash, splash can deal with most things but v charger is just to fast and too much range it’s too hard to get close and kill you have to farm crab, v roller for machine, most of the time I can see a close range threat however ALL ROLLERS RUN NINJA SQUID WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DOOOOO, tri slosher for wiper, it’s just so annoying I can get in be a rat and then boom boom dead it’s as you said unfair, flingza for carbon deco, carbon loves to shark however the mines and missiles on v flingza SUCK then they can shoot verticals at me OR go over to me a splat me with the better range, and my least favorite weapon to fight is range blasters as a stamper main it is so annoying to fight them they just come from no where ( and all seem like they sat under a waterfall for hours to harness every atom to be a god with the weapon) and splat me HOW IS THAT FAIR but if I see them they are not a issue and that’s my five.
Id say theyre not really comparable. Blasters have to rely on spacing, where their AOE radius requires you to be at a specific range, and they have slow fire rates, so if you want a fast kill time, you have to aim well. Meanwhile, Tri slosher has an extremely fast fire rate, and it doesnt even care about aim OR spacing. As long as theyre even remotely near you, just mash ZR and they die.
What about a video about your most hated weapons to have on YOUR team ? Weapons that when you see a teammate weilding it you know you will have a bad time ?
I also hate .52 Gal, it’s just a broken, unhealthy and stupid weapon, and also I feel like Glooga and 96 are way more fun and healthier 2 shot weapons in the game with fair weaknesses. 52 just feels like it has next to no weaknesses whatsoever, and in my opinion, it should just straight up be removed from the game.
I agree with it being removed. Theres no point in having it when 96 gal exists.. im fine with 96 because it actually has its fair trade offs. The idea of 2 hit shooters is kinda dumb to me in the first place but i think 96 is actually tolerable
my top 5 have gotta be vshot and ttek: obnoxious and if there's more than one on the other team you just lose inkbrush: annoying as hell and can't get a hit because of the wall of ink sploosh: where the hell did you come from .52 gal: glooga but it doesn't have to earn its value tri slosher: either you die or you trade I may or may not have a thing against shooters
Me, a Tri-Slosher Comp player, is so confused (kinda)... I get that it is extremely fast, and we kill really quick, but no skill? That's not true completely. It has a low skill floor, but it has a high ceiling. Also my five from least to most are Bloblobber, Sploosh, Octobrush, E-Liter, and the bane of every tri-slosher's existence, range blaster.
Yeah weapons like l3 are getting half kits meanwhile 52 gets 2 good kits. Also during worlds the team using both 52’s was jackpot and everyone in jackpot is insanely skilled
as an octobrush main, sorry. it's usually the reason i leave dualies alone (besides enperries you guys suck.) , but also, God I HATE going against painbrushes.
I agreed heavily with the subs and specials lists, but when it comes to main weapons, it's all the one shotting/rapid firing long range weapons that feel stupid to me. Mostly as a by-product of the choke point heavy maps, but whatever my gripes with things like the 52's rapid kills and inkbrushes running up my buttcheeks non-stop, at least they don't spend all game standing in one spot, single handedly preventing the entire other team from playing the game. They're boring to play, and boring to play against.
My top 5 least favorite main weapons: 5. Splatana Stamper 4. Squeezer 3. Splattershot 2. Range Blaster 1. 52 gal I’ve been a 52 gal hater since Splatoon 1 And my friends wonder why I’ve never played Splatoon 3 competitively.
Long range weapons like the Eliter and Hydra weapons, they are no doubt effective but its more than a little cheap to pot shot players from a distance to be quite honest.
Personally I’d say my least favorite weapons to fight are 1. Bloblobber 2. Tent 3. E-liter 4. Jet Squelcher 5. Tri-Slosher Nouveau No matter what weapon I’m playing, most of the time I’m not having fun fighting them. I main a variety of weapons so I don’t really hate any weapons that counter what I play
As some one who uses Both Splat Dualies, Both Glooga Dualies, an E-liter 4K, and Nautilus, I sincerely hope I'm annoying, because that means I'm doing my job. Only weapon I dislike is Blob because of the nature of its projectiles. It gets everywhere. It gets in the corners. My precious corners...
My top 5 annoying weapons: 5: Rollers/Brushes (Especially when people use Ninja Squid) 4: Splatana Stamper (Both Kits) 3: S Blast '91 2: Tri-Slosher (Both kits) 1: .52 Gal (Both Kits)
As a Big Swig Roller Express and Splat Roller Main, I really hate the .52 Gal, .96 Gal, Tentatek Splattershot, all chargers (well except Bamboozler and Snipewriters), Inkbrush, Octobrush, Heavy Edit Splatling, Range Blaster, and Clash Blaster.
Omg can’t believe I found another big swig express main. This list is accurate but I don’t mind the brushes, clash and shots too much though. Edits annoying but I don’t hate it too much.
Being an Undercover player. I think fighting Stamper as Undercover is the single worst and least fun weapon matchup in the game. Horizontal slash destroys your shield and you die through shield before you can even get to hitting the 3 shots necessary, which isn’t even taking into account how inconsistent that 3 shot is. Vanilla kit is way worse because the kit makes it so much worse to fight with Zip being absolute hell to track down with how slow and weak undercover shoots.
The bottom line is: basically all these issues could be (partly) fixed by Nintendo, if they'd stop being cheapskates and get actual servers for improved connections. Dying before the game even shows you the opponent's move, or at best, the endless "trades" when you're out-ranging the opponent two-fold? Ugh...
There's no weapon I consistently hate fighting more than range blaster. That thing has so much range and the explosion hitbox is so inexplicably massive that it virtually has like an extra 20% range or something, and also gets the most infuriating and seemingly unfair hits around corners. Sure it fires slowly but if you don't see it coming before it lands the first shot, you don't have any time to react to the 2nd. It also abuses lag like CRAZY as all blasters do.
As stringer main, carbon rollers, ink brushes, blasters, nautilus, and splatanas give me the most trouble. Don't hate them, but do hate my odds when they're on the other team. I find I work well with them when they're on my team instead though.
4k eliter because it's the one thing that easily outranges a stringer, dualies because of how fast they close the gap and pressure a stringer, and any weapons that can just aim up to a ledge and hit a person, i.e. blasters, sloshers, blobbers. When I see those on the other team I groan audibly 😆 0 respect for tri slosher since Splatoon 2.
