I'm a full time student and had a part time job that I loved. I made more per hour than the us national average and I did meaningful work with people who respected me as much as I respect them. I had to walk away after 15 months because it was holding me back and stopping me from pursuing opportunities. Today was my last day.

Jeremy Diamond totally get it. I just quit my amazing part time job of 18 months too as I finished up my last of school and am moving on to tackle new projects and dreams. It’s hard to let go of a good thing in the search for great things. But I’m convinced it’s how we truly are going to create the life we won’t regret. I recently had an emotional experience with someone I loved that I hadn't seen in a long time, it reminded me to feel; feel emotions and to not try and organize them around a calendar. It was like a mental reset that came just in time for the new year and has helped me re-align my values and where I am going. Hey Dan, It's almost 4 years that I watch Casey's videos and yours. You asked for exposing positivity, here it is. I'm from Iran and I'm a product designer at an e-commerce company. I have a big passion for creating things to get used by ppl every day in their life. And I do my best to chase the path I started 7 years ago; Learning more and more. But I have another passion in my life, which has a kind of dramatic/romantic story behind it. My girlfriend migrated to States 3 years ago and I haven't seen her for 2 years. She broke up w/ me 4 months ago. (I'm not gonna tell the whole story. Which is long). But I'm going to migrate to Canada (which currently is the nearest country that I can migrate to as an Iranian citizen). I'm having a hard time. Affording my financial stuff besides saving money for a big trip and there are so many other challenges ahead... The point is that everyone is saying to me that my decision is ridiculous. But I have my dream which won't be complete w/out the person I admire most. So I'm going to make this happen in 2019. Thanks for reading. Cheers BRU

In 2018 I quit my minimum wage job, which was the ultimate risk. I took on an internship instead, at British GQ. Unpaid. I had no money, but I gained valuable experience in the magazine industry. I’m now studying a masters in magazine journalism at one of the top schools in the U.K. In 2019 I’m gonna double up on the hard work - this year for me is all about using the time I have for the things I love. That includes making a lot more films on RU-vid. Good luck to everyone with their goals this year.

failed all my classes last term so i'm repeating the year, sucks but i try to tell myself that only i know what i go through and i've got no job trying to convince everyone else i'm not just a lazy slob, my only goal for next year is to pass on top and make up for what i lost this year. + so glad i found your channel, your videos almost always leave me with a bit of a positive outlook on life, your journey and determination is really inspiring and its so cool to see someone do what really makes them happy.

moving forward hopefully... I've been in a mad long depression since my dad died (18 months ago) - lost contact with all of my friends and completely isolated myself to the point where i actually have anxiety about going out now. Hopefully in 2019 i'll stop waiting for myself to get better and force myself to do something that lets me move forward - it will be a hard one and i don't know if/how im going to do it by myself... We all got stories, that is the latest on mine.

I love the saying “Growth and Comfort can’t co-exist”. Something I really took to heart this year as well as I left a very comfortable job that paid well in Austin, TX (had a beautiful house, time for personal interests) and moved to LA to work for SpaceX (small apartment, no time for personal interests). But it is my dream job and I really think I’ve grown a lot and super charged my career and growth. Keep it up!

Hey Bru! I recently moved to Colorado Springs for a dream job, in a dream city...but it costed me some very dear things. So, this year I am focusing on simplifying my life. Getting rid of useless clutter, old stuff I don't use anymore...etc. As well as keeping my head-space simple as well. Thank you for sharing the harder parts of your life. Us as viewers tend to only see the highlight reel and compare it to our own realities, which makes us wonder where we are going wrong. 2018 was just horrible (too many deaths in the family + my mundane 9-5). So I decided to stir my life up a bit. I have made a list of 12 things to do in 2019. One in each month and vlog it. Here's the list: January - First Tattoo February - Homeless for 24 hours March - Jump in the Lake Of Ontario April - Piercing May - Marathon June - Skydiving in Montreal July - Dye my hair Blonde (Like Casey did one time) August - Ledge walking on CN Tower September - Interviewing a celeb October - Make a Short film November - A Helicopter ride over Toronto December - Give a speech in public Made a video about it too: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-heJkpZFM6r8.html Should be memorable...

I've done 5 of those, and can't do four of them. Due to legal reasons (Canada is too strict about who they let in), but could do similar to them in my country (US) maybe. The last one. Will probably be the hardest. You'll need help practicing for that one. Speaking in public is the #1 fear, right above death. Believe it, or not. And you'll be doing things you won't even notice, like I was tapping my thumb on the podium. Now I find it easy to do this, but it depends on the speech and the audience I guess. The tattoo/piercing is are the easiests ones, yet ones you may regret, at least the tattoo. I would move the celebrity interview nearer the end maybe, unless you have easy access to a celebrity. The marathon too, but I suppose that may not be your choice. Actually I would probably leave it more loose, and just be sure to accomplish at least one a month. Good luck.

I stopped setting goals, I realized i wasn't a goal oriented person... I got so caught up in watching other people and how goals progressed their agenda... For me, I reached my goal of 1000 subs & hit a massive depression after the "high" wore off... Now I just keep focused, work hard and enjoy what I'm doing... The keep focused & enjoy what I'm doing seem to easily get lost in the shuffle... The hard work part, that come natural.... Happy New Year... Take it easy...

I woke up 5yrs ago relizing I had my "ladder" to climb against the wrong wall.
