Yep! I also have had it happen to me before: Was shiny hunting for Blipbug on the isle of armor, took a quick glance at possible shinies that I might phase on, said to myself that I wasn't a huge fan of Fomantis' shiny, then bam, shiny Fomantis.

The raid dens are so much fun sometimes! I was in a Tapu Lele raid and I was one heart down with NPCs that decided to bring all fighting types. My Wartortle landed the most luckiest freeze of my life on the Tapu Lele and she was frozen throughout the whole rest of the fight! And that Tapu Lele turned out to be the shiny one! One of the best moments I had from the Crown Tundra dlc, with me getting a shiny Virizion under 100 SR and getting a random shiny Pokémon in the raid den.

This reminds me when I shiny hunted Staryu, Starmie, and Miltank on the Isle of Armor since it came out and didn't find any. I finally gave up hunting them, went back to Galar and tried to only spread Pokerus in my team by getting in random encounters. One of those REs was a SHINY GALAR MR. MIME of all things THAT I ALMOST MISSED !!!! The only redeemable thing about it is it has a mark.
