We think it’s part of the true spirit of commander. Letting people have fun and play a game. People on multiplayer can feel rushed easily. We are all human and make mistakes. That’s why we enjoy the take-backsie counter rule. And thought it would be fun to show it to you all.

Aside from the command zone I'm not a huge fan of watching people play mtg... Its hard to find that middleground of playing competitively enough that its exciting to watch but also having a friendly game with people who are enjoying themselves. This hits that sweet spot perfectly, good job guys!

@@khangtran2154 If we were copy and paste we’d have interviews. We choose to let real banter be the driving force of this show. I think Game Knights own their corner of the magic commander world. They have badass graphic animations lots of sponsors and so forth. We area very small operation also show our love of commander. We have zero restrictions on what someone can put in their deck. Just like a true LGS game you never know what you might see in a deck on our show. Plus we only film at Local gaming stores. We support them and them us. I hope we are our own show. I’m A filmmaker that works in the industry. If on our debut episode with no money you think we are coping GK. Well I guess that is a big compliment. But I’d like to think we are different.

Dude this channel is exactly what this community needed ---- we hear a lot about casual edh and cedh, but there aren't really any channels making content in that high-power in-between zone. My playgroup has always gravitated toward high-power "unfun" decks, but we never get full into cedh. This is the first time that I feel like I've seen a channel that plays this kind of magic.

The almost pantomine style of comments and reactions leads to a really enjoyable watching experience, and the fact your personalities seem to gel so well together massively helps! My favourite thing personally though is seeing the cards with such a large size near the middle of the screen! It's larger than a lot of other people do it that I've seen, but it makes the cards significantly more readible, and makes people's boardstates so much easier to keep track of! Considering this is your first ever episode, I'm excited to see where you go!!

I found this scrolling on reddit and I am absolutely loving every second of this! I watch other edh gameplay pretty religiously, and this is by far already one of the better produced shows. Instant Subscribe, cannot wait for more! :D One thing I would love to see is a place to find decklists of what you guys are playing, even if its posted after the fact. Seriously, fantastic work, cant wait for thenext episode.

I love that you guys aren't acting over the top. It feels like a genuine game of magic between friends and not a big youtube production with some gimmicks sprinkled in. Because of this video, I've realized that there is no need to have crazy animations and sound effects if the players are actually entertaining!

This show has it all: production value, charisma, shenanigans, personality, great edits, and glorious interactions! Seriously one of the most exciting new channels, a game changer for the EDH community. Love how it doesn’t try to be the next game knights or mtgmuddstah. It’s something new, and I respect that. Gonna rise up fast as one of the best channels/shows. Keep it up From the get go, the show shows what I love most about magic: a bunch of friends having a good time and enjoying the game and each others company. Great content! Thank you for all the work you put in post production it really shows. Idea for decks to play: It's always fun/popular when creators play their 'pet' decks...the little known commanders that for whatever reason you keep the deck around even though you should break it down for parts.

The man, the myth, the legend is back?!?! HELL YEAH BRUTHUR!!!! I like this kind of playthrough of a game. Also, the Akiri deck seems pretty sweet, becoming VOLTRON DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE!!!" Also, highly recommend some background music to up the intensity. I was playing the Sephiroth theme during one off the most vile plays. There's also some static in the video here and there. All and all, the video is great, love your content, and bethe best you can be!!!!

This is pretty good, I do think there's a lot of dead air that would be diminished with possibly some background music would help this. Nobody's perfect the first go round though and hope this is a channel I can watch grow over time. :)

@@michaeldlynch The projects I've worked on I usually use the repository of Royalty Free tracks I've acquired from places like Sounds Best and Dark Fantasy Studio both of which currently have sales on bundles of their tracks. (Sounds Best on their website and Dark Fantasy on Humble Bundle. The latter of which is in the last 12 hours to snag) There's also the option of using subscription services like Sound Stripe and Epidemic Sound both of which are relatively cheap to use and have a wide selection. Or you can do the free route and use the royalty free tracks from artists like Teknoaxe here on youtube. I hope I didn't sound condescending this series is pretty good so far. I just think smoothing out some of the drone from dead air could make it even better :)

@@IceColdKoopa Originally we wanted all of the music to be created for the show, so it would have it's own flavor. But we also plan to release one episode each month. So it wasn't in the cards for this episode. We shot 6 episodes so far. But maybe until we get music from our musician friends your options would be helpful. Thanks for the feedback. We want to keep making our show/ channel better! We come from a film background, so we are used to creating original music for each project. But maybe that's too much for now just starting off.

Loved this group! Very excited to see more of Joe play commander after his excellent performances on Game Knights! If you're taking suggestions for decks, my playgroup has some groans with: Vial Smasher/Sakashima, Kinnan, and Muldrotha. Also, would love to see an occasional rematch. Previous decks but with different players aka Tuvasa.

5:00 you had exactly enough to equip, floating 1 colorless with two lands and a mana rock. The equip cost is 2, plus 2 from dampening field (or whatever that card is, the stax piece), so 4, exactly the amount of mana you had available.

If Grand Arbiter Augustin being played and Strionic Resonator being searched for in a Brago deck doesn't trigger full alarm from everyone on the table I don't know what will. Then again, not much in terms of removal so I guess they could not do much about it. At least Joseph could have put some pressure on him with his board to get him to block.

Re: Future decks. You simply cannot have a channel called “I hate your deck” without a Chulane deck.

Great content, always cool to see more people showing off their commander decks. I do have a question though, why was everyone tapping their lands AFTER they cast something? You’re supposed to tap first. Idk why that bugged me but it did. 😂

Looks great, and you guys got a good back and forth. If there's one thing I'd change though, it'd be some sort of ambient music during the gameplay section to help it flow a little better, imo. Otherwise, it's a great start!
