@@IHateYourDeck Who doesn’t love Rachel? Keep up the good work; it’s great seeing new commander content that isn’t just some monotone guy reading the script of what happened in the game or that requires a production timeline of a summer blockbuster like GameKnights. Cool decks, good player interaction, good content. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
he actually won because he stopped playing wholesome. He finally came to the darkside playing highly efficient cards but happy to see him win after getting bullied when he played wholesome decks.
The Lynch and Aaron team up was unexpected lol! Also I laughed every time Aaron said "draw a magic card". Makes me think he had a pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh card hiding in there somewhere haha!
I loved Aaron on this episode man, his deck looked really fun, but he seemed really fun to play with and against as well. Hope you guys bring him on the show more often!!!
You know we are the Wizards of the West Coast!! Slinging Spells like always!!! Last night we had 5 pods in our Patreon only discord for our weekly Thursday commander day/nights!
This is why I don't feel sorry for Joseph hating blue; he has it coming every single time, always walking into blue's traps. Of course, that's part of what makes these episodes enjoyable.
@@MTGSavage Yep, it's so common for people to threat assess based on the board or life total, but not about hand size and/or mana, which is one of the reasons blue sneaks in so many wins on this series.
I had a friend I made at a gas station close to my work and we started talking about magic and I told him how I like "Rakdos" decks. I just generally meant black red decks but he invited me to come play Commander with him at our local game store and told me he has a few extra Commander decks I could use. Dude shows up with a full Rakdos Lord of Riots deck that he bought and just gives it to me. Wanted to see what other people were running in the same commander and I see Rachel is playing at on an episode I missed 3 years ago, literally couldn't be more stoked
I love Locust God decks. I had to pull mine apart recently because it was the worst one in my arsenal for my buddies to play against, but it's always fun to see one pop off.
Izzet storm decks are all like this. Fun to pilot because they draw cards and make mana and generally can pop off in a way that feels like you're doing a lot, but long storm turns that can just be dreadful to play against.
I love how Aaron specifically says that he's drawing Magic cards. I mean I'd be worried if he had cards in his deck that could draw him Yugioh or Pokemon cards. 😂
Watching this show with captions on is hilarious. Some examples “giraffe return” for “draw per turn” and “pay the risky daddy fee” for “pay the rhystic study fee”.
Lynch not hating your deck this game. Couldn't wait to see this game because the locust God has a special place in my heart. My first deck and still one of my two favorites
Awesome episode! Thanks for making this great gameplay show. I'd love to see someone play an Osgir deck. I built one with lots of group hug draw and ramp; it can cascade into some very silly situations with KCI and Anointed Procession. Last time, I lost while every player was drawing 9 cards in their draw steps from my four token copies of Font of Mythos.
Joe played so greedy that game. Like, REALLY greedy. Rachel gave the perfect answer. Get Rec sage, kill the impact tremors or the rhystic study, and fight the hull breecher with enough mana to pay for the rhystic study trigger.
There are a lot of missed triggers for horn of greed and rhystic study, but despite that, I loved watching this! I'm definitely going to be watching this! I love the chemistry of this table!
After loosing the last 7 episodes plus the bonus one, I felt like Michael really wanted to go through all triggers and really feel the victory! :) Good content as usual !!
This is my first time watching. I love this show so far. Joseph and Rachel are awesome. Joseph is hilarious. Put him on every show. I listen to all of Rachel’s podcasts so it was cool to actually see her on camera playing.
these are my two favorites of the guests you've had so far, i wanna smoke with aaron and drink wine with rachel :) after watching all 9 eps the other guests i'd most like to see return are evan and barry. good vibes. and i'm not sure where y'all are based, but i'd love to see ladee danger on the show! keep em coming and i'll keep watching
I believe this is the first game footage of Rachel on any channel I've ever seen her lose. Even with Lynch's dominance the whole game I was still convinced she'd pull it out somehow lol
Level 3 Judge here. There's actually a rule many people forget about that was broken here. It's a very subtle one. Rule 1.337 - Whenever an opponent plays the Locust God, if it is their Commander, each opponent loses the game.
Can I also be that guy? cause in the intro line "now lets meet our players... FOR THIS MONTHS GAME" MF been releasing theses every week! not complaining. love the show.
As a Locust God player, you basically have either have a turn where you do nothing, or a turn where you do everything. I wasn't even using the wheel variant, and I managed to draw 36 cards in a turn while doing over 70 damage across the board. When it goes off, it goes off hard.
@@nooneknows3520 You're absolutely right. If you have a good start (Lynch in this game specifically), you can settle the bombs to blow up the other players before get target by them. Btw, sorry if my comment have any grammar or syntax errors, cause I don't talk and write often as I can, but hopefully you can get what I'm saying. Hahaha
I hope that everyone takes away the most important lesson from this episode which is YOU MUST FOCUS THE ENTIRE GAME ON THE LOCUST GOD PLAYER. I say this as someone who used to play it. Counter all their spells. Destroy all their creatures. Never let the Locust God hit the field. Send all your attackers at them. You’ll still probably lose, but at least you’ll sleep at night knowing you tried.
I like how Aaron cleans up his cards early on Lynch's turn. He knew it was over. Then they cut and when they come back his board state is nicely back to the way it was. Ha. Dude seems like my kind of player, take a few dabs and cast some spells. Epic.
Friends snapping cards, laughs all around and plenty of "troll tolls." This is what Commander is all about. Hey, where did Rachel get that play mat? It's pretty rad.
Favorite guests so far (except Mrs. Lynch of course). Aaron was hilarious and Rachel embodies the absolute best things about EDH, so yeah great game everyone!
I hope MTG people pay you a really good money, because you're an actual reason why I came back to play tabletop Magic cards. Thanks for a tons of laughs too :)
Lynch deserved to have a good run! Aaron was so charming, would love to see him on the show again! Definitely gonna steal that "I will draw a Magic card" for my playgroup
Just a PSA for anyone who might be confused. You cannot play Dryad Arbor if you've played another land that turn. It does count as a land drop. Edit: As Rachel pointed out, he did get it with the Green Sun's Zenith, so everything was ok.
