@@marksanford6432 Yep. Dolph is arguably the most intelligent REAL warrior to work in Hollywood. He has an IQ of 160 and went to MIT. Most ppl that worked alongside the action legends of Dolph’s era claim Dolph was the one that would win if all of them were to fight. He was too big, to strong, and too skilled. Ppl might say Chuck Norris could beat him, but Chuck 5’10 and never weighed over 190lbs. Dolph was ripped, 6’5 240lbs with long arms all the while being a European National Champion 4th Dan Karate master with a background body-guarding celebrities. “Lundgren received a degree in chemical engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in the early 1980s and a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney in 1982. He holds the rank of 4th dan black belt in Kyokushin karate and was European champion in 1980-81. While in Sydney, he became a bodyguard for Jamaican singer Grace Jones and began a relationship with her. He received a Fulbright scholarship to MIT and moved to Boston. Jones convinced him to leave the university and move to New York City to be with her and begin acting, where, after a short stint as a model and bouncer at the Manhattan nightclub The Limelight, Lundgren got a small debut role as a KGB henchman in the James Bond film A View to a Kill…..” PS. That’s what was so amusing in the Expendables movies. He character was revealed to be a chemical expert in the 2nd Expendables, but most never knew he really is a chemical expert.

@@markhirstwood4190 Would you relax? He means that he was jealous of him, Sylvester Stallone is not saying that he literally harbored hate in his heart for Dolph Lundgren. They're both bodybuilders, they compare themselves to each other, it's how they are. If you've watched Rocky 4 you know the movie ends on a note of optimism and letting go of hatred for each other and for past grievances. The message of Rocky 4 was not for people to be hateful. Hatred on the part of the audience was a vehicle that was necessary for the plot to deliver it's message to them, as if they were the same spectators sitting in the stands watching Drago beat Creed so hard in the ring that he died, or watching Rocky and Drago slug it out at the end of the movie. Both massive crowds convinced of the righteousness of their own cause, convinced that their man is the good guy and the other is the bad guy. That's what Sly is talking about.

Stories like Dolph Lundgrens or Schwarzeneggers or Van Dammes are 1 in 1 Million. There is no 2nd Dolph Lundgren or no 2nd Van Damme from Belgium because it's that hard to even get to Hollywood and being in one big movie. I imagine for someone from Europe it's even harder than it is for Americans. And back then was the time of the big action stars like Scharzenegger, Stallone, Bruce Willis. And of course you would have big chances if you are muscular and a good figher and good looking. And those 3 attributs match Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren the best. I would say nowadays its almost impossible to become that successful as for example Van damme and Dolph Lundgren.

Most people would decide not to hire Dolph if they were in Stalone's shoes cause of jalousy and fear that he would surpass them. Stalone does the opposite cause he recognized a true talent, that's why he got so far in life. It's just greatness

How dare Stallone admit that men and women are different...says the eyo-roll from the host. Stallone is not a soy-boy-simp, he has a rulership mentality. Love it.

Third party, I had a close friend who worked for Stallone for close to a year and said he was one of the most self important, rude people he ever had to deal with. On the other hand, another friend was a hostess st a restaurant where Dolph Lundgren frequented and really liked him. She said he could have a temper and act out on occasion but for the most part was very friendly and personable. These are from a limited perspective, but I found it interesting.

My brother has worked closely with Dolph in the past on a project, and had on many occasions chatted with Stallone at various Hollywood hangouts, and he says both are good guys. Stallone perhaps a bit more guarded.
