my take on HoB vs PtA is that PTA feels stronger AFTER the initial burst open damage to clean up, HoB is much stronger if the initial 4 AA's + abilitys is enough to seal the fight. I was religiously using PTA on briar when i went crit but after leaving emerald into low diamond lobbies it started to become much more clear that giving the other team more time to respond to your damage means you miss more kill opportunities that you could of had secured with HoB. Now i go with the rule that PtA is ONLY worth using on crit or lethality builds if the enemy team has reliable ways of out living my HoB opener and I need the extra raw DPS to close the fight out, HoB however is always gonna be king of deleting back line before they have chance to respond. the secret power of HoB is that most of your DPS comes out during the Q stun leaving very little counterplay to escape before hitting lethal, PtA ALWAYS leaves a window for them to flash unless you land a full E slam or have team set up. Not saying PtA is bad, but its not as reliable as HoB when your build is designed to full send it with all damage, if you are rocking zero defence stats and just packing pure damage you really want that damage to be consistent and reliable when you use it.

Jack of all rune feels really nice in what i call "high tempo bruiser" builds, AKA bruiser builds that are heavy leaning towards damage and fast explosive fights. My build with jack rune is normally collector/black cleaver into navori then you normally finish the jack of all trades stacks to 10 with boots + components towards something like spirit visage. its a very nice all round build where the main focus is having high cooldown tempo with next to no down time as long as your fighting. You can swap out the collector for BoRK and/or Navori for wits end if the game needs it, although i personally think navori leans well into what the build is trying to do. this is one of my prefered builds when i want to play like an assassin but need some added "thiccness" as im expecting to dual more than assassinate as the game goes on, not so great for team fighting but small skirmishes and finding out of position picks. I think collector with black cleaver is really slept on, cleaver is a significant increase to briars bleed damage and keeps collector from falling off into the mid/late game as that bleed retains a real high threat of finishing off fights
