It really good to see you getting things done an not working as hard. You deserve the lift, the trailer an all the other toys that makes your job easier. Thanks for sharing.
One tip for using your winch and snatch block…drape a chain across the rear most stake pockets on your trailer and put the snatch block on it. This way you can pull the cars off the trailer and still have some control if it runs. Once you get to the limit of the snatch block….then let out line as the car finally goes off the trailer. Also some 4x4 blocks on the trailer tires will save the transmission on the truck when winching on you loads. You can also use them as stops for the cars as they are loaded on the trailer. 👍
Let's get it move forward a little bit. 🦋🦋 LOOK AT THE PRETTY BUTTERFLIES............ Anyway let's get it rolled forward a little bit! Man I'm so glad I'm not alone!🐿️😂😂😂
Hey Chad, I really enjoy your content. I am a Military & Civilian heavy equip mechanic. Thinking outside the box & making parts is something I'm familiar with. Watching you do it is so cool cause most mechanics never reach that level of expertise. God bless you.
Looks like the trailer build was a success. Better because you didn't have to revisit too much. Love what you do and your attitude while you are doing it.
After the day I have had I needed to kick back and enjoy a new post from This N That Garage. I am also happy to see your channel continuing to grow. Soon you will hit 100K. Congrats.
I think you gave that winch a good workout and it performed perfectly. Love the Packards. Hope to see them again in the future. Thank you Mr Chad! God bless!
That old 4-wheely drive puttin in some work, just like you! That blue Ford was a beautiful truck back in it's day! I can't wait to see what you do with all you brought out of the weeds!
The ford 3.03 "toploader" 3 speed is basically indestructable, and can be converted to a top mount shifter like a T-18/T-19 with 3 speed Jeep parts. Yes, a 390 rotating assembly is a drop in upgrade for a 360, and using a 428 rotating assembly in a 360 turns it in to a 410.
A busy day Chad indeed hauling all those cars and trucks, the trailer did rather well , so hats off to you for a well done trailer redesign and fabrication. Now let's see what will be the first one to get running and put up for sale or keep. Ty for the video and entertainment today Chad, let's get some rest,.
Love that International Harvester. Looks like maybe a Lodestar. Very good trucks and going by how it looked it could probably go right back on the road with a little bit of work. Nice video!
Riding that old truck off the trailer is better than riding a roller coaster! 🤣 You must have the most understanding mother in America. 😇 God bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸✌🏼😎
Thanks for all your interesting videos. I'm enjoying them a lot. Just some advice on the engine jack if you want to lift up higher, you can cut the bottom mounting bracket on the jack cylinder and move it up higher. I've done it to mine about 3 years ago and it's helped a lot in lifting things higher over the grill
Just bought a Door, not rusted with some dents, 120.00 gutted, new set marrow, 55.00, trim on average 15-20 a peace. grill 150.00 more if polished up. should popped those clips that hold the molding 14 bucks for pack of 6
Hiya Chad, I hope your well, Its probably been said tens of times but when I built my haul trailer I set two boat rollers into the deck, it serves two porpoises , it allows the winch line to roll over them and saves your deck ( and the winch cable) and also allows car chassis frame rails to slide over them without catch in the deck timbers. Watch out for those waspers and Chiggers !
Hey hey y'all! Hope everyone is well and having the most wonderful week thus far. I pray that the rest of your week & weekend is safe and prosperous and til next week, God bless! ~ Scott 💙🙏🏼
Hello If you add a few loops to the sides of the trailer, you can use the Snatch block to drag the a vehicle into that direction like a flat bed tow truck hope this helps 👍
It is difficult to believe that the tail lights on the Packard have survived in such beautiful condition. That was the only part of a Packard that we wanted in the late 50s.
That video was a beautiful presentation , you do nice work and you do it on your own . The trailer is doing its thing and in fine style its purpose built and proved it can handle anything . There was still a load of parts on the one that went to the crusher but when your stuck for time it has to be left where it is Thank you for having us along , your collection is starting to expand . Stuart in Canada ..
That trailer is sick and putting in some hard work to boot. That Badlands winch is like the perfect edition to to the trailer as well. You know she has some torque when you have your wheels chocked and its still dragging the truck and trailer backwards 😁
On that truck, save the front Ibeam / Brake assembly. Those are common swap ins to 65-72 F100 trucks to give them disk brakes, its what I did on my 65 f100. Edit, I should have finished the last 5 minutes before commenting this LOL.
That Ford F-150 was probably the best vehicle you drug off that farm. Can't believe you stripped it and hauled it to the scraper it just needed a new bed
I’m a 100% ford man but that old f150 was done for way to much work needed to go into it to get her back on the road wasn’t worth it even tho she would been a beautiful truck
Mr Chad it is so Funny after you get something accomplished then you say TAA-DAA! I look forward to your channel every week! Oh and By the way, You built one Awesome of a trailer!!
I'd be interested in a recap of your RU-vid experience. Perhaps an episode detailing your journey and progress. I like how you operate and think I could learn from ya. Keep up the good work
Transmission in the white truck looks like an old air cooled power glide from the holes. Pretty cool. Old jack leg is putting in work for sure. Did a good job on it.
The old international would make a great trailer puller cut it down to length. Leave enough room in front of the fifth wheel for tool box 👍👍. Great job on the trailer build awesome work and love the channel.
Corn fed badboned man. He doesn't cuss so that is why I said badboned. My top 3 favorite channels. He makes me laugh alot. This I educational entertainment. Plus , my youngest son lives in Clarksville, TN.
There is a lot of steel in that trailer. You did strengthen the hitch which would have been the weak point... I figured the wood would be a big penalty. It is a pretty trailer. That remote winch is the cat's meow. I'm a one man operation too. Very slick. The old 4 doors will be an interesting build... two into one? The 3 ton International will do you well when you get that back on the road. An OBS body... What'cha doin' with that? Keep it up.
I thought you were taking a trip to the hospital when that truck rolled off the trailer. But, that was pretty funny! reminds me of the time i took a ride on/under the old '48 Dodge when it suddenly rolled backward knocking me off my feet and dragging me under the car. the wife sat watching in horror as I disappeared under the rear bumper and got drug.
Oh I was very scared you were going to get hurt on that first truck. You got a lot done. We are happy you have such a good trailer now. Another great show Chad. Thanks
I hated to see that windshield trim go to scrap, it's worth it's weight in gold but I'm not surprised by the weight of the trailer, you did build it with some pretty good steel, can't wait to see what you haul home next and yes that hood was for a 68/69 chevelle but it's pretty crusty
I still have some FE engines, (390s and 428s), and used to do a lot of fiddling with them. If I remember correctly, the bore of the 360 and the 390 block are the same, and I vaguely remember that you could install the 390 piston, to raise the compression ratio. You can install the complete rotating assembly and make a 390. I am just going on memory, but I also thought that it was more difficult to find 390 stuff than the 360, at least where I live. That rear end, is what I need. I have a couple of 9 3/8 ths rear ends, and am going to have to narrow one.
