Been watching him grow the collection for years. he just decided to put it in gold instead of a piggy bank. Wish I would have kept to the same philosophy. Spent it instead at times on booze and boats till I got married. Congrats Speg.
As a fellow stacker I don’t get tired of watching new eye candy. Even if just for review. That ambassador knew even back then, if you don’t hold it, you don’t own it! 👍
In my opinion the Saint Guadens is the most beautiful coin America has ever made. I love seeing the coins in your collection and it keeps pushing me to get more and more beautiful coins.

Those are nice Pre-1933 Gold Double Eagles. I only managed to acquire one St. Gaudens Gold Double Eagle that I had to put on layaway a couple years ago. The coin is from the Philadelphia Mint with the year 1915. The rest of my pre-33 gold is in smaller denominations. $1.00 , $2.50 , $5.00. Wish I had more of these wonderful 20 dollar gold coins because of their History and scarcity. But I'm happy with what I can afford.

To this day. I still do not own any U.S. Gold. It seems every time I have the money needed for a purchase. Something happens that requires the money I have put away for a gold coin. maybe something will happen in my favor in the near future. Very nice collection, TY for sharing.
My friend, it Will always seem that way. I started with the 1/10 gold monthly challenge. I Took a little allowance every paycheck stashed it away. Also it changed my spending habits. Be surprised on how much money is wasted on garbage. Now I have a pile of them. Only been stacking for 19 months. You can do it!!!!

Coming from a graded Gaudens collector, your hoard is admirable. Hope it inspires others to save and get what they can, even if fractional. Enjoy life too.. you can't take it with you 😂 it's okay to splurge sometimes! That MS66 1927 is boss!
Speg, two of those coins are begging to be cracked out and re-submitted for conservation to remove those copper spots. If NCS mess up conserving a coin, you can ask for compensation if you show them before and after photos. I did that once and NCS compensated me fairly on a gold proof where they'd left their solvent residue dried on the fields surface.
Nice video as always SpegTacular. I sold a guardhouse wooden box just like this and it had PCGS printed on the top and only holds PCGS Rattlers for $250. It was a very rare wooden box holder that they only made for one year back in 1986/87. If you find one in the wild pick it up.

Nice collection, Speg! Very nice! I've got a few gold items but only have one slabbed coin. I'd like to have several others graded (Dahlonega, Charlotte, New Orleans, Carson City) but just can't seem to pull the trigger on it... maybe one day. The trouble with showing others your collection is it very easily is taken as bragging about your financial comfort, and comes across badly. Curious how people approach this, because I like buying coins but yea, I just kind of keep it all a secret.

Nice collection! Listening to those slabs clatter together makes me cringe, though. I know it's just plastic, and if it gets all scratched up, it did its job...but still...I'm so OCD about keeping everything pristine, I put all my slabbed coins into those little bags that fit perfectly. I know this is a polarizing topic, but I'm just sayin'. 🙂 Regardless, congrats on an amazing gold collection! My prize gold coin is an MS70PL 2009 ultra high relief St. Gaudens. I even went on Ebay and bought all the OGP in mint condition separately, so I could put the slabbed coin in it!
I had 4 coins ruined by a third party grader while in the possession. Won't name them but they did acknowledge. Luckily not gold though but value definitely lost.
