I'm so glad that we can do a little for you for all that you give to us. It can't be an easy life, either financially or emotionally/mentally. After covid the world is having to address so much, and we've all learnt a lot more about supporting each other. Keep it up Dan, we all need each other.

I don't think it's weird at all to feel a connection from vlogging. I remember Stephanie saying there was a time she lived in the Chateau by herself but didn't feel lonely because the vlogging helped her feel connected to people. I think it's pretty cool that you get something out of it, we are all here watching your work from our desks/couches. If anything, we're the weird ones.

I’m a teacher and say to my class at the end of the day- “see you…tomorrow” in true Dan intonation and they have no idea why I do that! It makes me laugh every day! Keep going, Dan. Your easygoing ways and determination is creating positive ripples all around the world.

Dan you are the most humble and honest guy and as viewers we love your vlogs and will be watching right up and beyond the day the chateau is completed. Don’t worry if you’re too busy to get a vlog in everyday......it’s a lot to edit after a full days work. All the plans/ permission/ forms/ legal stuff will take ages to be completed but in the meantime we are thrilled to bits to see the farmhouse being done. And YES..... Love you, Dan! You must know we all are rooting for you with every fiber of our being. You are usually the first one I watch on RU-vid and it is always, "I wonder what Dan is doing today?" I count you as a friend even though we have never met. I think builders have much in common and I just enjoy watching what you are doing. My husband and I built our house and extra buildings on 20 acres 47 years ago, raising lots of animals and lots of vegetables....it was a good life and stands out as our best years. I am 76 years old now and my husband died 16 months ago, so yeah, it was my happy time that I will always remember.😊🙂🥰

This video demonstrates that perfectly; nobody expected you to put one out like this, but the fact that you do shows one of your most unique strengths. It's not just the building, or the chateau (yours or anyone elses) even though that may have been the initial pull for many, what keeps us interested is the person you are, have shared with us, your drive, fearlessness and multitalent but also the fact you are Dan, a warmhearted human being with a dark sense of humor, a foreigner in the land you live, working hard at getting your sotuation sorted and achieving a life balance between family, work, dream projects, immediate future sustainability and a place to stay reasinably comfortably while yoi tackle these huge projects. I, and I'm sure pretty mich everyone who follows you get it, we care, and we're routing for you. We KNOW you can do whatever you set your aim at, and we're here (even to watch paint dry on occasion lol) because we love you and admire how well you carry yourself even through the toughest chapters of life, like separation, and we all envy your energy and courage to not just dream BIG, but really dig in and go after it, follow your heart, dare to say, I can do it! The last three years have really re-written the way we connect and communicate with each other. I can understand that talking into a camera is a form of two way communication now. LOL I know what you mean! I go days and weeks without talking to anyone. I tweet and I watch my fav RU-vid channels. They are creative, as I am. I have a great time chatting with friends but in the back of my head I'm itching to get back to my projects. Nothing against the people, it's just that being creative, working on projects that will go to my forever home and gardens is my main focus. Once I am set up I will enjoy sharing it with my friends but honestly, I don't ever see a day when I won't be into some project or other! It's what keeps me going and happy! It's why I watch channels like yours. It gives me great ideas! A possible new direction to move forward to. Love your channel! Bravo!!!

I have been watching you since the virus hit in 2019. My saddest time for me was seeing you and your wife, go your separate ways. After all you accomplished together and watching you both with your little boys, it was so heartbreaking. Now every time I see you trying to finish your house, in the rain, snow and windy days and late into the night, it just amazes me. I get the isolation thing, whenever I’ve gone through major events or changes in my life I crave my own company. I listen to music, read books, eat when I want, sleep when I want, try new things I guess it’s sort of a metamorphosis, changing from one lifestyle or definition to another. My daily journal was written and doesn't make much sense anymore, but it did at the time. I really love this channel for its simplicity to the point it feels relateable and dear which also means there is alot of potential for growth to the point where building on a budget in a stressful, creative and relateable way is no longer necessary with ad revenue, sponsorships etc. So on one hand I wish nothing but success to Dan and his family on this youtube only journey and on the other hand I really enjoy watching this somewhat stressy, unpredictable yolo a chateau time as well. I just hope Dan gets best of both worlds I guess :)
