In the case of the flak bus. You’re a field gun. So be a field gun. Set up on avenues of approach to cap points and use that reload to stop pushes. Play defensively.

Flakbus is definitely a beginning of the match and ambush vehicle, large profile opentop leave it vunerable for mid game planes and spaa. A good open area or sightline with a building or objects to hide into if needed will improve its effectiveness.

The flatbed with an artillery piece is great at locking down entire streets in cities and other paths to caps. Keep in mind the roads people will take most and park up in sneaky spots to smack them without them even knowing you're there or moving too much to aim at you. Major weakspot is the ammo box on the back so bare that in mind. I never appreciated what the flakbus was capable of until I was forced to play it's equivalents in other tech trees and I found that I was a big fan of the "ambush predator" playstyle.

There is no problem with being a german main at all. All players are free on their choice of nation and can play the game how they like it. As a german main myself, I love the powerfull guns of the germans and my playstyle suits this nation the most. You can play germany freely, continue your adventure👍.

Everyone starts as a German main... and then they play with German teams for long enough to explore other tech trees! haha!

2:35 Depends on the Churchill variant but with the 8.8 you can just shoot the turret face and go trough fairly easily

The HE shell of the Flakbus is actually a time fuse, so its not actually good at killing aircraft, by using the rangefinder it will set a fuse at the range the rangefinder tells you and explode after hitting that distance. Its just a gimic and pretty mutch useless.

It’s not just straight victory missions, it’s wonderful, Thankyou! Plus it’s really fun watching you get better and seeing the light bulb moments you have. Mid tier Germany can be a bit of a pain, but once you reach 8.3/8.7, it all fades into bliss (for about 1 whole br)

Trying to spade every vehicle is a fun but dangerous game. My suggestion is if you're struggling/not enjoying a vehicle, don't force yourself to spade it. You can always come back to it later when you have more experience. I cant wait to see you have a full 6.7 lineup!

Pro tip; get to 6.7, enjoy the hell out of it, and remember how enjoyable it is once you start playing the CBT that is dart tanks

any german TD's you want to try and get them hull down, the lower plate that protects the transmission is a weakpoint on all of them aside from the jagdpanther and jagdtiger, the Ferdinand have their own weak points to learn.

i hate the flakbus too. the mobility sucks, the gun depression sucks, its massive, slow, the turret traverse sucks, its open top and the anti air shells are time fuse instead of proxy fuse. the only things going for it are indeed the gun and the rangefinder. insanely situational and i havent bothered to play more than a few matches with it

As German Main I can tell the Flakbus is amazing. Got a kill death ratio of 1475 to 386. 1st avoid open space and hide next to anything whats available 2nd be as low as possible to the ground while depression sucks elevation is king 3rd move sideways to the next spot, shooting forward is almost impossible 4th do not move to much around hold your ground and don't cap, even when you have to lose the battle You can kill anything including up tiered matches, and if you do it right you will mostly get killed only by planes.

I embraced the German main quite some time ago, but the 76 mm Sherman gets the job done in close quarters

Just incase you go back to the german milk- i mean flak truck, if you face any churchil 7's, if front facing and not angling too hard aim for the front MG port since it only had about 120mm of armour, OR the top of the roof since it's slopped towards you the MK 7's are pretty much the only tank that has too much armour to easily pen in this BR range (and are fairly common), so just thought I'd give this tid bit since I love the flak bus 🗿

Right side fp 79ish mm, lower fp 79ish mm, turret cheek 102mm

Germany and Russia are definitely the most fun to play up to BR 7.0ish. Most of their vehicles are just point and shoot

The flakbus was already weak in 2018.. but people still managed to squeeze its potential till gaijin saw its k/d ratio and decided to nerf it a couple times and made the BR high.. used to be the side skirt wasn't modeled in so you wont have to be annoyed picking your route, the turret traverse rate isnt as horrible as on the video, 50cal and HE was not a manace to this thing.

Die 8,8 FlaK auf Sfl. ist tatsächlich echt langsam weshalb ich auch aufgehört habe die zu spielen, auf kleinen Stadt maps kann man vielleicht ein paar gute runden haben aber sonst ist die echt nicht so geil Edit das Problem ist auch das die Flak munition auch nicht super ist, ich hab auch gefühlt alles daneben geschossen Edit 2: Ich hab auch angefangen andere Nationen wie Schweden zu grinden aber ich habe bei Schweden immer das Problem das man keine Panzerung hat und dann zieht es mich wieder auf Deutschland 6.0 zurück. Deutschland wird aber ab 6.7 mit dem ersten Tiger 2 nervig weil man nur noch amerikanische T-34 **** im Gegnerteam hat und auch so nicht mit der modernisierung der Fahrzeuge mithalten kann. i have no idea how to kill the other churchils but i know that the left side of the hull ( the right side of the gun) has less armor

when you get there get the swedish Lvkv 42 it is a BR 4.3 spaa with a 40mm that shoots twice/second the default belt (which is use) pens 95mm and it pair really nicely with the A21-A3 and SAV 20.12.48 and the other swedish funny mobiles

the flakbus is just one of those vehicles that have nothing good going for it *except* an exceptional gun. it makes it incredibly situational and therefore often frustrating to use, and awkward to place at a BR from a balance perspective. i don't blame you for hating the thing.

I started with Russia. I do well with Russia. I like playing my Russian vehicles minus the gun depression. I admit I'm a German main though. I just do better with Germany. Now if my teammates would do better...

since everyone has told u how to use flak bus i will say the roof of churchill is possible but a little to high or little to low is volumetric hell do recommend its front bottom plate or sides dont try engine its to big also heat doesnt have as much explosive filler as regular he so use he pls, on flak bus ur supposed to range in order to use the time fuse only recommend usig against heavy bombers flying in a straight line also set ur rang for 100 youll think me later

I also hate flakbus. Gun traverse is horrible and the whole vehicle feels slow as hell. I never shot down any aircrafts with it, even though I've shot planes with sturer emil and many other TDs, like hetzer, m90/45 etc. I think the proxy shell doesnt work on that thing like other tanks with proxy shell, like bkan or m109G. I think you have to rangefind it first for it to explode by itself or something like that and it's simply impossible to rangefind a plane and he keeps that exact distance

You should play the 1.0 sd.2 something i cant think of the number rn but its a tank destroyer play it and try and shoot down aircraft its the best way to have fun for me when im bored on 1.0 its a good test of skill as well

You do know you need to range find with that explosive ammo to set the fuse, right....? That's what makes it so shit for AA duty.
