You are such an amazing patient mom!! New moms out there... if you’re feeling overwhelmed by a baby that will not stop crying, it’s OKAY to put your baby in a safe place and walk away for a few minutes to compose yourself!!! Your baby will be ok for a few minutes by themselves in a safe place. Or find someone you can trust who will not lose their cool with a crying baby to watch your baby for a while so that you can remove yourself from the situation and get a little rest. God bless all you new moms out there, especially moms who have babies that cry constantly for whatever reason. Just know it will pass eventually.

My son was just this up until like last week, he is getting better at 4 months. Yoh he is FUSSY!!! I used to break down and cry because i just had no idea what to do. Yoh i cant tell you how good it feels to see a mama that went through the same thing, all the mamas on RU-vid have these perfect babies that sleep all night by themselves at 3 weeks! Ah you have no idea how this made me feel normal.

You are doing so good mama! This brought me back to 15 years ago with my first son. Reflux, colic, projectile vomiting, reflux meds, doctors visits,losing too much weight from the vomiting, not sleeping at all unless being carried!! You are doing everything perfectly and mama you will get through this! I teared up watching this because you have so much patience and strength even through the sleep deprived, exhausted, emotional delirium! Jackson is so lucky to have picked you for his mommy and I promise you you will look back at this feeling so much stronger and have learned so much about yourself and how strong you are! I had another boy 3 years after my first and he was a super angel baby and so easy! They are now 12 and 15 ...NOW again god had a huge surprise plan for me to start all over again at 46 with a surprise third boy🙏 He is 4 months old now and we are just starting to get past colic and sleep issues. I came across your channel last week in search of info on sleep training and found yours with Riley, I can’t tell you how relieved and optimistic I felt after watching your video knowing that I will soon get some sleep again.. at 47 i need much more than my 30s! Keep doing what your doing mama, you are doing so good! Looking forward to watching his progress over the next few months.

I know EXACTLY how it is to have a baby that it is never “happy” when awake. We have dealt with the reflux as well, my doula was comforting me with saying it will pass and that he is wonderful baby (which he is, of course:)) but what can i say-it will pass. Now he is 7 months old and from about 4months on we have a nicer times-but i think swaddling helped me after the week 6 on and he was sleeping a bit better. And nowadays he still spits a lot but at least it doesn’t bother him that much anymore. It will be better and until then i wish you a good luck ❤️

You. Are. Amazing. 💛 thank you for being vulnerable enough to share your real life. It can be such an incredibly exhausting and stressful season. The windii does work really good! My daughter tends to be most gassy in the early morning and I do the belly massage and then use the windii, and then a warm belly wrap (happi tummies on amazon.)

Hi mama, my LO had very similar issues with reflux. Omeprazole worked for my son, 2.5ml 2x daily. I also saw in a previous blog that you're going dairy-free. My son is intolerant to dairy and soy. My gastroenterologist told us that soy has a very similar protein structure to dairy, so babies with dairy intolerance usually are intolerant to soy too. We went on omeprazole and gave up dairy/soy at 7 weeks and it worked so well! It took about 6 weeks for everything to normalize, but it's like having a new baby. My son is now 5.5 months old and thriving. I'm definitely not a doctor, just sharing my experience! Good luck with everything. I hope Jackson feels better asap and gives you some relief!
@samanthab5006
@samanthab5006 Год назад
Did removing soy help? I'm vegan and my son started with reflux at 2 weeks (a week ago). I already do not eat dairy and cut out soy a few days ago. It is really hard for me to cut out soy as it's one of my main protein sources and I have not noticed a difference yet. I plan to give it two weeks to see if it offers my LO. any relief.

You are doing great mama!!! Just do what you can!! A tip I learned that if he's fussy and nothing is working try a bath or taking him outside for a little bit, it may help. Best of luck to you and hopefully his reflux gets better soon!!

You’re so lucky to have your mom with you. My baby would be crying 20 hours straight per day and I would be so alone. No one to help. I totally stopped eating and sleeping, I couldn’t take care of myself and felt so miserable. Some babies are for sure more difficult then others. That teaches us that if you do have the gift of God to have support you should take it!

My first was like that - it’s extremely frustrating and utterly exhausting so please try to take lots of small breaks whenever you can and remember this won’t last forever. As soon as they grow a bit older and their digestive system matures things will change and you’ll soon forget just how hard the early weeks were. Hang in there - it really will get easier soon. Xx

What helps with her - bouncing excerise ball, sleeping on tummy during naps (she falls Asleep on me on her tummy and I Just put her in the same position on a flat surface) and changed nursing position - me half sitting half laying and baby on tummy almost upright. She somerimes burps during eating and continues ;) Sending lots of love from Poland!

@@catiarodrigues2998 My first baby was a girl and she was like this. Terrible napper and bad reflux but she did sleep well at night. She is now a perfect angel who almost never wakes at night. My now 4 month old is a terrible sleeper both day and night and also has reflux. I've heard boys are much worse with sleep. So for the sake of my sanity I'm telling myself that he too will grow out of it. Hopefully sooner rather than later

I can totally relate to an unhappy baby. My little girl is going on 3 weeks old and the poor thing just seems so miserable when she has to pass gas or poop. It breaks my heart and I cry when she is screaming and crying because I can see shes in pain but no matter what I do (mylicon, gripe water, feed her more, rock her, sing, etc....), she just screams and I feel defeated. Thank you for sharing this experience..... I don't feel so alone in this struggle. Good luck and hopefully both of us will get to experience a happy and content baby soon..... ❤

Some of the best baby advice I’ve gotten is for when they’re fussy/upset/screaming at you (lol)... take them outside or put them in water. We’ve had nights where the 5 S’ didn’t do squat for him, he wasn’t hungry, nothing. Baths calm him so well, and being in the carrier outside is great. Literally have walked up and down my driveway with him at night to calm him and then was able to put him to bed. It’s so hard to deal with your baby crying and you just want to help!! So if you see this and try it I hope it helps you guys have a few more good nights. ❤️❤️❤️

Awe he is adorable! It’s such a hard period little ones go through at that time. Both my girls had trouble settling around that age. It gave me a lot of comfort when I read somewhere that newborns have to learn the skill of moving their bowels & passing gas. That’s gotta be uncomfortable! Especially when you think of how tiny their little tummies are. Hang in there! You’re doing great!

I like the music in the beginning. That dress and bow on her is Precious. My mom said I was a colicky baby and she put me to sleep on top of the dryer to soothe gas pains. My grandparents and mom took shifts. I’d be in my dads arms as soon as he got home from work to bounce me and settle my belly. Also never lay them flat always try to have him a little bit upright and laying on his left side which is better for digestion. Live with family as long as possible honestly...

My 4th baby was my most challenging baby! The first 7-8 weeks of her life she just cried, grizzled and grunted. The doctors (yes I went to multiple) would not give me any medication. They did not want to mess with her still developing digestive system. They said by 8 weeks her digestive system with be more developed and she will improve. And thank god she did! She’s 4 months now. Still not a calm baby but so much better! You will get there!

My daughter had reflux very bad as well and it was a battle so props to you for handling everything so well. One thing I did notice was the grunting and my pediatrician told us the grunting is due to the reflux as well and not gas. They also said the mylicon drops when gas is not an issue it can cause more of it and more discomfort for their little tummies. Hope this helps!

It sounds like you are going threw EXACTLY what I did with my son. He also had GERDS/Reflux and colic. It's sooo challenging to deal with. I think the hardest part was not being able to comfort him and he was fussy for hours after feeding him and I'd get him calm as well right until he was about to eat again. It will get better. It finally started to ease up when my son was around 7-8 months and when he could begin to sit up by himself. Please let me know if you ever need to ask advice or just to vent or talk. I know how difficult it is etc. Your doing a great job momma 💙💙

My first is at 3 weeks tomorrow and about a week ago the reflux started. I was getting really down watching others on RU-vid with really chill newborns. My mom will usually come over if I ask but she's on vacation with my sister and her kids at the same time my husband had to go back to work. I can totally relate to the sleepless nights, spit up, fussiness and several outfit changes. I'm also still recovering from an emergency c section. My niece was colicky and cried non stop whenever awake so I know I'm lucky so far that he still has good moments during the day and can be soothed.

I had my second baby in September and the first 6 weeks with him were actual hell. If he wasn't asleep, he was screaming. He was such a grumpy old man. We couldn't figure out if it was reflux, gas, colic, etc. It was awful, especially with a 2 year old also running around and being super needy. We tried gas drops, gripe water, 3 different formulas, and so on. I went back to work at 6 weeks (thank the LAWD!) and it was around that time that his little body just figured it out. At 7 weeks he slept 7 hours straight and I was in absolute shock. He stopped crying all day. Totally different baby. Still don't know what happened. Now he's 4 months old and he is the most chill, sweet, happy boy ever. You've got this, mama. You seem way more patient than I ever was during those first few weeks. This too shall pass.

Oh you sound just like me a couple of months ago. My son had gas and reflux as well. I was trying everything to comfort him but he kept on crying and i cried about every day. Untill i realised i could not help him with the reflux and gas. I thought all i can do is comfort him trhu it. I kept rocking him and telling him it will pass and he will feel better after a couple months. So the first three months were so hard, he was on me 24/7, day and night. But it will get better, you do all that you can and you can not "fix" the problems but you can guide him. Sorry english is not my main language but i hope it helped you out a little bit. ❤️ You are an amazing mom, never forget that

You’re amazing! Keep up the good work!! Quick advice- make sure your hair is out of his way, it can give him a rash and it can be very painful for them.

We tried the Windy and it did a great job for us. My son didn’t liked it at first and I actually was about to give up because he was crying so much... but after couple of tries a lot of “stuff “ came out and he definitely felt better. We did it almost every night for like 2 1/2 months. I am very happy we decided to use it. We also held him across our arm with his tummy down - that seem to help a lot too. He was falling asleep very easy that way - just the tricky part was putting him into bed in that position. Good luck, I hope little squish feels better soon. It is really frustrating to see your own little peanut struggle and not being able to help him.

Oh my! I feel with you so much! My baby was very similar to yours. He is now doing so much better (3 months old). Have hope, he will get better soon! You are doing an amazing job!! I would recommend you to get a gymnastic ball and bounce him to sleep there, it was a life saver for me and so was windy!!

My husband takes our 2 month old out in the recliner pretty much every night and sleeps for at least a couple hours. We feel your non sleeping struggle! Our baby has reflux too, but doesn’t do well with the medicine. Each one just seemed like it made things worse, so we stopped. We also do the gas drops and probiotics. Have you tried gripe water? That also tends to help us some too. It at least helps ours poop when he is mad from not pooping!

Aww Kayla he is so precious!! But I totally feel your pain with the reflux....Zoey had it and as a FTM it was such a stressful and emotionally taxing thing to go through. I hate that you are going through it but I will tell you that it will be a while....but it WILL get better and he won't remember any of it and you will forget for the most part too

My heart goes out to you! You are such a sweet mama and doing everything you can for him ❤️ I know colic and reflux all too well. It’s so difficult. I was told you have to ride it out... it peaks around 6-8 weeks and then slowly gets better. My LO grew out of it around 4-5 months. Sounds like your little guy has more reflux than colic though. We used Mylicon and Zantac and it’s hard to say if it helped or not. My LO mostly had colic and was only consoled by nursing or being with mama 😭❤️

Tummy time on a towel right out of the dryer or hot water bottle ( not real hot of course) works wonders for my grand-baby. Sometimes - nothing works & they just have to cry it out. Some babies are more sensitive. You are doing great Kayla, your life is so unsettled right now. My heart is sad for you.

I'm from Sweden so pardon my english! I think you're an amazing mom! My baby are probably allergic to milk (protein from cow milk) and it helped alot losing the dairy in both our diets. We went to the doctor and they told me what to do. You lose som food containing calcium so you have to compensate for that. I'm breastfeeding mostly. He is still passning gas but it dosn't hurt. Mine has trouble pooping sometimes and the Windy helps him start the process. I use bumcreme (for sore bums) and does a little wiggle if it dosn't work. Bellymassages helps alot too every time we change a diaper. He dosn't poop every time but he is passning gas alot. To feed smal amounts more often shall help but I havn't tried that yet.

My daughter was lactose intolerant as well and had the same issues, crying for hours. When I removed the dairy it all got better~ I think your doing great!! Just takes time💕

@@katm7110 To clarify LACTOSE INTOLERANCE and COWMILK ALLERGY are two different things. I am lactose intolerant myself and can't process milksugar but I can eat and drink lactosefree products made out of all types of animalmilk. My son is allergic to protein from cowmilk and can't eat or drink anything made out of cowmilk, not even lactosefree products. If they are extremely allergic and eats cowmilk you can end up with an anaphylactic chock and die but if you're sensitive to lactose you only get stomach ache and an uppset stomach.

My baby boy was the same. Just know that around four months it starts getting better! It's very very challenging but just focus on coping and taking care of your own mental health. With Zantac, we found it worked best only if used consistently and it takes about 2 weeks to start being effective. I never found gripe water to work, unfortunately. The only thing he wanted ever was to be held upright or nursed, so I swear I spent four-six months solid of my life just nursing and wearing him. That being said, it seemed to make him a very confident, adventurous toddler who is quite happy being an independent fellow now and very good natured.

Hi. Well done for all the work you do! You are doing great. I dont know if it's common in the us but here in Europe we often bring fussy babies to a baby osteopath. It is supposed to help them in many ways, also for cases of reflux. Maybe you could try that ? Good luck and dont worry everything will be better soon!

Wow I went through the same exact thing with my second baby. I use to cry every night cause I couldnt make her comfortable. Try gripe water. We also had to switch to formula and then to a different formula for sensitive stomachs....eventually she healed and grew out of the tummy problems and was fine! He will too! Just hang in there
