My sister and I hit that Mexican place twice on two separate section hikes. The food there is SO good! Bummed we’ll only be missing you by a few days in the Grayson Highlands on our next section next week. Hope you’re recovering well from Giardia!
Looks like you had a great time with the family. I'm sure that was refreshing for the soul and body. I have a 13 yr old son whose name is Aiden. That clip of your son playing with Leo looks like a typical night of my son playing with Graham (our golden doodle).

Loved your son’s commentary. He may not see the inspiration in all those miles yet…but he will. I lost my only son, but often I think how awesome it would have been to share all the hiking I’ve done across the US. Young people need that exposure. Love that area and usually there are no people in the winter at Elk River Falls. Hike on and stay safe. Enjoyed you sharing your lovely family.
Now, there’s people everywhere in the mountains . Here In nc in smokies, it’s all Over.It’s the new Florida. Tennessee is the same way. Everybody moved here and more coming. Here fields are turned into Rv parks and subdivisions. 6 grocery stores and an Aldi n chickFilA in this small town with nonstop traffic. Had to go under 40 mph for over 15 miles on 4 lane one day with no accidents. Tourists and rush hour. You’ll be finding people in a lot Of places where there never was before.
Sorry for your loss. We suffered the loss of our 10yr old over 10 yrs ago & with time we learn to cope but never forget. Finally celebrated Christmas this past year. My prayers are w/ you.
@@cumberlandquiltchic1 yeah all the places I use to go for solitude are now crowded. I remember when I hiked Angels Landjng in Utah there were like 4 people and now you have to have a permit it’s so crowded and the same for Havasu Falls
