The amount of people I swear can’t reverse a foot is rediculous how the hell did they past their test shocking but on country roads where I live it’s always me who backs up 😳🤔😂

Hi Becky I had a similar incident when I was down a lane in a hgv 1 delivering furniture. After 15 minutes of her trying to reverse she admitted couldn’t do it and I had to back it up for her lol😅

As a Hgv driver myself that’s been in the industry for quite some time, it’s quite painful to see the skills or lack thereof of too many, mainly car drivers and the lack of common sense
Think you will have to have a challenge with 3 people I follow. Challenge is reversing. Trucker Tim, John Wood Livestock (might be helping him out in a couple of weeks) and Olly from Halls Agriculture. Show them how it is done Becky 😂😂
Similar thing happened to a mate of mine once when he was driving a bus in service round the village we both lived in once. The law at the time meant that he wasn’t allowed to reverse with passengers on board. Granted, the bus he was in was too big for the route but the smaller bus would have had the same issue. He refused to back up firstly because the law said he couldn’t, but even if this rule hadn’t existed, his only option was to reverse on to a main road. With traffic moving at 50 mph. She ((for she was a she) refused to reverse to the space a hundred metres behind her - she eventually admitted because she didn’t know how. The police were eventually called because she was causing an obstruction. Two local bobbies eventually turned up - one of whom was her husband…. Her husbands mate squirmed a bit as he wrote her up for not being fully in control of a motor vehicle. A few weeks later, she started catching the bus as they’d strangely become a one car family…
If i was in your shoes and came across that car. I would of got out and told her that i can't go on the grass, because i'll get stuck and i would of helped that lady reverse back into the gate way. People in cars don't understand that HGV's should not be driven on grass. I used to drive class 2, but is still the same principle
Must understand that this is not in the driving test to meat a hgv lorry in a dark lane, well done Becky had 42 years of driving hgv and had same thing as you but was ask what i was doing driving down the lane? always a great video thanks
I love Yr videos becky, Yr a real worker that's always smiling & enjoying what you do.I do laugh at you because you nearly always want a wee during Yr work, which is fine if Yr a man & can jump behind the trailer etc.How do u manage without proper roadside facilities. I just don't get why the car driver couldn't refers in the first place she could see a big HGV in front of her it can be dangerous to reverse a HGV if you make one single mistake there could be serious injuries to the animals in the back so excellent video Becky keep up the amazing work
it's hard to fathom how many people that can't back a car in a straight line ......the old turn the head syndrome look back over right shoulder then right hand down on the wheel and vice versa for the left
Becky why don't you have a back-up camera on your trailers , when i just started as a truck driver i said "real truckers don't need that "but now ( i drive a b-double reefers ) i am sorry i did not have it from the start i can put it on every little spot they want me too and it's saver too i love your video's greetings from Holland.
It ought to be a larger part of the driving test , many people cant reverse , cant use their mirrors , its ridiculous , to be truthful it's mainly the woman who have difficulty in reversing .....
I have just retired from driving after 36 years for a living, the standard of driving has deteriorated over the years. People cannot read the road and thinks they have the right of way over a commercial vehicle even when they cannot get through. A smile and thank you used to wind women up more than men. Just tell them your being paid for sitting and waiting whilst there making an arse of themself. Occupational hazard Becky.

10:35 How can car drivers not see that you are in a huge truck and just give way. If we HGV drivers get stuck or tip over we are going to cause more damage.
