Tyler Z.: Home Appliance Technician: You should just need to unplug the washer for 60 seconds to let the washer know you're there and then plug the washer back in and wait 20 minutes and the issue should reset.
Tyler Z.: Home Appliance Technician: If you unplug the washer again, it resets the 20 minute timer.
Tyler Z.: Home Appliance Technician: I'm not sure if you just haven't left it plugged in long enough or what, but make sure you have left it plugged in for at least 20 minutes.
Tyler Z.: Home Appliance Technician: If it doesn't reset, you have a bad control board that would need to be replaced.

Tyler Z.: Home Appliance Technician: To unlock the door if it won't do it itself, you'd need to unscrew the top panel and remove the top panel.
Tyler Z.: Home Appliance Technician: Then reach all the way down to the door latch and there is a plastic tab on the bottom of the latch you can pull down on to manually unlock the latch.
