The solos weren't as good live. His improvisation in solos probably were better for just about every other Floyd song live, but not this one. The studio version is still the best. Literally every note he hits in the studio version is perfectly executed and placed.
God, this song reminds me of my dad, when I was a kid I just called it the guitar songs, I knew the lyrics and everything, it just reminds me of sitting on the porch or riding with my dad on his motorcycle, love you pop
@@StillColour Well, I know what I'll be doing today! It doesn't always alert me when some people posts and I have followed you for a long time now. You should check more of their albums, they truly don't disappoint. "Obscured By Clouds" is probably the top album for me. Edited to say I hope every one is doing great. -Amber
The Pink Floyd Gilmour era is more commercial than Roger Waters era, Waters was the main lyrics writer before and he brings on the band this thing who manke you think deeply. His last album with the band was The final cut, this is the continuity of The Wall, is still in project to you to react to Final cut as you saying before ? sadly, there is not many react on this album ^^ I'am really waiting your ^^ If you liked The wall you clearly can react to it, and to the album Animals with is principals song called Sheep, Dogs and Pigs. its a comparaison of the classes of people in society Thanks keep going (sorry for my english I'm FR)
@@StillColour Great ! if you have listening The wall first, I think The final cut is maybe the best way to continue, because this album is more in the continuity of The Wall than Animals. You can come back to Animals after. Animals came out in 1977 The Wall 1979 and Final cut in 1983 Since Animals, the Waters touch is more and more present with the years, with this theatrical music sensation like The Wall, and The Final Cut is more like this, than Animals wich is more musical yet. And to finish, it seems to me Roger Waters (main songwriter on this period) purpose to Pink Floyd members 2 albums after The Wall : The Final Cut and The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking. Members choosing Final cut, and Waters released the second album in 1984 on his name after he leaves the band in 1985. Thank you man keep going, really like your channel.
This IS the Later Pink Floyd led by David Gilmour Please check out the t track.High Hopes on The Division Bell. It is brilliant. And yes you can't go wrong with tracks from Wish you were here
There is no song called The Division Bell. I'm maybe assuming you are referring to High Hopes which has the bell throughout the song. You are right it is brilliant.
