I saw this vessel at Miami Boat Show and fell in love with it -:) This video is a complete walk-through so that you can see everything this Solara has to offer! It is such a versatile boat! You can cruise and explore, spend the night on it and easily fish from it, too. It has everything you need: Fresh water tank, a galley, wet head, sleeping quarters, PLENTY of storage, A/C, microwave, a burner, 3 sinks, showers (one in the back and in the head), a grill, live-well, underwater lights an even a water heater! It is powered by a super reliable 300 HP Yamaha V6 that can really move this boat and the top speed is in the high 40ies, low 50ies (in miles). You can also connect to the shore power so you never have to worry about running out of juice. A solar panel can be installed to spend more time off the grid. You can have a roof rack to transport your kayak/canoe. It also comes with all the electronics: GPS, radar, depth finder, camera, auto pilot etc…
Relatively speaking, it is reasonably priced comparing to the big center consoles that have none of these amenities!
It is my DREAM BOAT FOR SURE, maybe one day I can afford it…. -:)

We had this boat, pretty much they same exact thing but made by Cutwater, a parent or co company of Solara, and Ranger tug. All fluid motion Companies. Put 1000 hours on the engine and countless overnights and long trips on her. Family of three. She got too small for us as our 2 year old grew. We have the 30 ft diesel now. Hindsight we should have gotten the bigger one first, but that's another story. This boat was a small fishing machine, and it was fast. Pops off of 4 ft seas fine. At 6 ft stay at the dock. Comfortable enough, kind of difficult to dock even with the bow thrust. She would not track with a lot of drift. The blue hull was a lot of work to keep clean. Electric components failed and I replaced about everything after 4 years. Is what it is. Motor 300 yami is bullet proof. Funny, in 2018 I bought mine with a trailer new for $119. Its for sale now in Maine at Moose Landing for $105. Just saying.

The best kind of review , one who's actually used the boat in multiple environments- standing ovation

The solaria looks nice. Glad the splash well has that filler piece for the transom deck.

Its definitely equipped for a weeks expedition in Canada or anywhere cooler. It's probably best as a Great Lakes boat or Pacific Northwest, Nor'Easter. Would bake you alive in Florida. You'd need a 16000 BTU air-conditioner.

At the Fort Lauderdale boat show I bought a Jeanneau NC795 S2. Same size and layout of the Solara, same equipment and I paid $160k. Arguably the Solara looks more luxurious where the Jeanneau feels more European practical (kind of positive for me a my boat is in a wet slip). The Beneteau 8 is a twin of the Jeanneau and has a fishing version. I’d recommend taking a look at both.

I know that one, which is also nice but I was more interested in the sport version (Jeaneau NC 795 Sport 2) which comes with an outside kitchen (gas grill and sink) and it's also a walk-around and that's huge plus especially when fishing, not to mention it is safer, especially in choppy seas. It's even equipped with Yamaha's Nex-Gen Helm Master ex control system which is very surprising, considering it has a single engine.

We have this boat which is a 2024 Solara S-250 Coupe. Its made by Fluid Motions and it's there high end fully loaded boat. Cruises at 30 mph all day long and max's out in the 50's. You can cook, make coffee, use TV and Stereo and use all the electricals for 3 to 4 days on the Lithium batteries. We love anchoring from the helm with the anchor camera and controls. We Love everything about this boat, it's just Amazing.

Thanks for your great feedback. If I may ask, do you keep yours on the water? Is it easy to maintain? Have you had any issues with it so far? Thanks again.

Just ordered for 205k w trailer. Originally was going to get the cutwater c242 but really wanted the 300hp engine and nicer helm. 15k diff but what the hell. Only thing I don't like about the Solaris is the red accent and under water lighting

Seems very similar to the ranger tug design imo … pretty cool

It does. It looks very much like Cutwater 24 Coupe but this one is better I think because it has a wet head, the setup on the Cutwater was very awkward. This vessel is extremely well equipped, the A/C and radar are included in the package. Twenty two gallons fresh water tank is also big enough to spend a night or two on this boat.

The Cutwater 248 is same boat for $20k less 😎

No matter what boat you buy down here in Florida. If it is an overnighter it has to have ac powered by a generator.

I think it’s a direct sales arm of RT, perhaps boat is modified a bit more. This the Cutwater model

You may be right. I like this model better though. Right across the wet head, on that little stand looking thing, an espresso machine would be nice! -:) There are two power outlets which is cool. The salesman told me that with the lithium ion batteries on board, the a/c could be run for 12 hours. With solar panels on the roof, those batteries can be trickle charged when the engine is not running.

Looks nothing like any of the Ranger Tugs
@steveross2280
@steveross2280 7 месяцев назад
@@floridaoutdooradventures8981 typically the salespeople have no clue about how long the AC can run on the batteries, more realistic is 5 hours at medium load, 3-5 hours at a full load (lower temp). If you have kids in the cabin or are overnighting most can do with 5 hours vs running a gen

This one seems to be more luxurious and better equipped than the ranger tug. Still my Dream Boat because it's like the Jack of all trades-:)... Maybe one day....

Too much going on g on in too small a space. Cramming more in an inadequate volume is clutter not function and a marketing play. Microwave under helm seat huh… lay on the cabinet floor to operate? Oh…. don’t call her a fishing boat…. just an overnight calm water cruiser for newbies.

I am thinking though, it would nice to catch couple of flags (big yellowtail snappers for those who don't know) offshore, and then come back to the bay, drop anchor by one of the keys, fire up the grill in the back, enjoy the fresh catch with a cold one while watching the sunset... Then start another day on the water with a fresh cup of coffee and a beautiful sunrise.... I am just sick and tired of rushing back to to the marina at the end of the day to deal with that crazy crowd and long lines...
