Tonight I saw the cinematic screening of a Film that I didn't know was even a thing until last week. Welcome to the Darkness. Anyhow, I saw it tonight and though I would share my findings.

We have to admit that The Darkness were only really one hit wonders. That one hit was incredibly good for its originality in terms of rock music of the time and maybe enough energy to transverse into general pop territory. Just a shame they were never consistent enough overall.

They’ve had so many great songs! Check out Love Is Only a Feeling, Open Fire, Heart Explodes, Solid Gold, Barbarian, In Another Life…. The list goes on!

With all due respect, you couldn’t be more wrong, objectively or subjectively. Several chart hits from the first record alone. I would suggest that you give the rest of their work a listen. Very consistent I would argue. Amazing live band also.
