This is the original "O Holy Night". The difference here is that David rearranged it. The original is in much more structured. David takes his time and puts every bit of himself worshiping the Lord into it, which elevates it to the top. No greater version of this song exists. Thank you for reacting to this. Houston, we have a problem! I requested the same performance for my Christmas series. I have to think about a replacement song. David is a phenomenal singer and he is filled with the Holy Spirit. This is my favorite rendition of this song. And props to Anthony Burger on the piano who was a brilliant pianist.

I know...I have seen him live 11 times from the front row, I have been to his home for two Barn Bash events and have net his parents as well. I am so glad you have heard now David Phelps. Whitney Houston considered him as the best tenor. His more recent works such as his classy rendition of I Have Nothing in the original key will charm you. His other songs of late like on his album Game Changer demonstrate his contemporary themed songwriting skills as well as his vocal delivery.

Bill and Gloria Gaither are the hosts of this concert. They are true legends in Gospel music. Been around for many Decades. They have written many notable Gospel songs, including He Touched Me, Sinner Saved By Grace, and 8ecause he lives, but not Oh Holy Night. David has been a member of Bill's group the Gaither Vocal Band for quite a few years now. He is one of those Power Voices, and everyone says he is one of the Best Tenors in the industry , but his voice goes beyond that. But ill tell you pretty much anyone sing witn GVB is Top of thr line Power Vocalist. You should check them out sometime.

The song O Holy Night is a worldwide christian christmas standard and church songbook standard. All David Phelps did was take the song to a whole new level never heard before and now new younger artists are attempting to re-create the David Phelps rendition but it's not the same. The venue David is singing in was produced by Bill and Gloria Gaither. They produce quite a few venues throughout the year and every year around Christmas time Gaither has what he calls the Gaither homecoming. And at these events they feature various phenomenal Christian singers.

Have you heard of Willie K? He’s from Hawaii (RIP). Can you take a look at his rendition of Holy Night. The title is Holy Night: Benjamin Cross and Willie K. There is also the recording which is so much better and powerful. He will also Incorporate the Hawaiian language. Hope you will enjoy it.

Think about why you haven't heard of David. This is a 2000 live performance. You don't see enough people sharing this kind of music. The media for the most part tries to shame this. The Concert is a Gaither Christmas Homecoming Contert. Bill and Gloria are the organizers. They have written many contemporary Christian Music. The isn't one of their song though.
