And none of it matters. I find it silly how far people go to try to be described by words. We're humans and we are far too complicated to be described by a couple words.
@@bunaynayslay Never said I don't. I just find the whole thing silly. If someone chooses new pronouns does it change them as a person? No, they're still the same person. It's meaningless and I believe it's unhealthy to put so much stock into them. Pronouns are nothing more than an easier way for people to address you.
I agree humans are complicated and I wish pronouns didn't matter to me but they do because of how widely they're used in the english language. Every day people will address me with gendered language and there's no getting away from it so I might as well try and find the pronoun that fits best so if people ask me what I prefer I can tell them. I find most people who say 'none of it matters' are usually happy with the pronouns that people assume they use. It's not just about words either - I look pretty androgenous and people will treat me very differently if they assume I'm male then they do if they assume I'm female and different again if they think I'm trans rather than cis. So the pronouns I use directly affects what gender people believe me to be and that affects how they interact with me.
