@@dreamsans62It has to be the highest compliment when you’re so good at what you do that some people can’t believe that you actually do what you do. Wayne obviously don’t need ghost writers bro.🤦🏾♂️
Than almost any have ever had in reality. There’s only gotta be like maybe 10-15 rappers in history with more hits than Wayne? And he don’t know a damn one of theirs or his own 🤣🤣
Just think, his minute-long thoughts that leave his brain immediately are better than 99% of dudes who work on an album’s rhymes for a year. Wayne is the 🐐
He doesn't physically write it down, but that doesn't mean he doesn't think about it before hand. So its basically the same exact process, its just taking place in his head. Which is still wildly impressive. But, you dont actually think.. all his songs are just spontaneous off the top of the head.. do ya? If so, i have this business opportunity involving a scheme, its kind of triangle shaped, and im willing to let you buy in at a low low price.
What’s crazy is his short freestyles are harder than his songs cause it’s so mind blowing the way he thinks and yet we have rappers who write that are number 1 wayne will forever be untouched man
He started doing this because of Jay Z. Don't let that be forgotten! I never liked Jay Z either, always thought he was the most over rated rapper of all time.. but still got to give credit to Jay where credit is due! As far as I'm aware, he's the first rapper to 100% take on his career as a freestyling rapper rather than writing any of his material down.
Yeah but I also think it's because of the sheer volume of songs he's created. He's probably create a few thousand at this point so even the mediocre radio hits maybe hard to remember at this point let alone a song that never become popular.
Anybody with their own recording studio does it. We just punch in every line. Do 5 songs a day may take me 10 hours . Wayne just comes up with things a lot faster than most like 10 songs in 3 hours. 😂
@@SuperHonkyPodcastJay spoke about this in an interview. He explained that he formulates songs in his head for hours & sometimes days before he records it. Even though he didn’t write it, it’s mostly memorized for him. Thats why Wayne actually sounds like he’s freestyling but Jay’s sound written still to this day.
@@user-gq2wj4ce8e it has nothing to do with smoking weed. he freestyles his lyrics. it would be insane for someone to remember every word of one of their thousand freestyles from years ago
@@user-gq2wj4ce8efrom the outside it would seem like that but those two artist have made probably thousands of songs and have been doing this for 20 plus years that is a lot to remember 🤷🏾♂️
I don’t think it’s a “freestyle” in one take. He records a few bars, sits back and hits the BL and then jumps in for another few bars. A long evening with the producer talking edits and he finishes a track
He uses ghostwriters you gullible fan boys. Here's lil Wayne TRYING to come up with bars on the spot. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xsyEjQ8a8XI.html&pp=ygUZTGlsIHdheW5lIDF4dHJhIGZyZWVzdHlsZQ%3D%3D
@@christaylor1913 I've been a fan of weezy for a long time,I don't know him personally but I know his work, what you mean school?work? You tryna be funny or?
@@internet-gangsta2162 just guessed you meant you personally knew him, don't understand how you could actually be a fan of hip-hop and/or rap then make this comment. Its pretty commonplace.
No, I highly doubt he is better at memorizing his lyrics than he is at lip syncing. He just has passion about what he does so he wants to be authentic. If he wrote his shit down than he would be memorizing what he said and wouldn’t have to re read is lyrics, or memorize them again (not re-memorize) the night before a show. This is why musicians read and write sheet music. Imagine having to speak but you didn’t know how to read or write. Your vocabulary would be severely limited and you would have no understanding of what is functionally happening in language.
That's because you're not tying your words to a physical thing. If someone writes lyrics down and continues to perform them, they have a better chance at remembering them because there are more neural pathways to get to the material, in both writing and performing as opposed to just performing or just writing. If you wrote things down and then did whatever your wrote down physically, you would most definitely remember it. @@tarman47
@@j2323j I guess I have to say Alive. But even Tupac wrote all his rhymes. Lil Wayne surpassed him when it comes to freestylin all his music and multi metaphors and multi entendres. So actually yes he is the greatest
Now I understand why my 24 ur old daughter's generation loves Wayne so much. He is super Humble and there's nothing fake about him and he can relate to everyone Regardless of the color of their skin
Also once can understand why he forgets the songs. He has one interview where he says that during one studio session sitting he got out the files of the work for that day.. 53 songs made during ONE day, he prolly has thousands of unreleased songs.
@@ryanshippenon some real bro, peep pac… they sayin he made HITS in 20 mins.. even juice made that 2018 album off the top no writing(obviously retakes still), n look up him freestyle… we can’t tell anyone it’s not possible, there’s a reason Wayne’s a goat bro
It probably did. It’s art functioning at a very high level. That’s not a common place to be, nor is truly engaging a person to understand how they function internally. They probably genuinely missed what he said. It sounds like you’re a lot more engaged and attentive in this instance.
@@digitalanalogprotocolelect2257 yeah you definin what a genius is huh just cause he a pothead and doesnt remember shit? not a big lil wayne fan but ur ridiculous.
Yeah, I like that too. I wouldnt be surprised if he started writing some when hes in his 50s, hes the type of artist you can never give up on making good music. Like Leonard Cohen or Tom Waits making crazy good shit in their 60s or in Cohens case his fvxking 80s. Amazing people.
Lil Wayne was actually an excellent student as well. He literally studies for the test before a performance and aces it, then forgets and moves on. That’s how that friend that got A’s in biology doesn’t know anything about how photosynthesis works, but then you jog their memory and they sound like an expert at it. Then a day later they’re like, “What are you even saying right now?”
@Gerardo Herrera exactly why i stated what i said in a polite way. Didnt call OP any names or anything rude at all? Trying to save them from the internet trolls that will say horrible shit over one misspelled thing.
lol no guys, he puts it together in his head for like 20-30 minutes and goes in, or he punches in the lyrics and reformulates it as he goes... he still thinks about the ideas and thoughts as they come
Facts. I can relate to this completely. I literally freestyle all my raps. It sounds good when I'm in the zone. I want to get back to where I once was talent wise because of my incarceration I need to catch up with the talent out here now. I pray to get back on the same level as the new me. I have a new musical name and I definitely want to evolve and be a better me. The old me was dope ASF. Off topic slightly, but I relate to the freestyle thing
Underrated rap god/genius that can't nobody touch or even come close to a classic like this dude! Growing up listening to his relatable and undebatable Lyrically sickest spits! It helped me get through my days! I probably wouldnt be here if i wasnt chillin back listening to his tracks. Carter 1 and 2! Just thinking of those days make me smile wish i could relive some years back when some of his first albums dropped!
There was a ghost writer Wayne had in the early and mid 2ks.. he wrote some of Waynes most iconic songs, some of the hottest bars, dopest hooks and sickest flow. Cee-Low Green is to thank for that, Cee-Lows words and waynes voice!! The music if a generation!!

@@fuhk bro I'm not here to argue with you about some shit you read on the Internet. From Carter himself, he had a very hard life coming up. Also tried to kill himself when he was a jit and a cop saved his life. That's a hard life homie. I've had a very hard life myself
@@kegankelly3073 As you shouldn’t. Arguing against facts is the behaviour of an idiot. I bet you got all your information from the same internet you’re trying to discredit.
Not really, get your workflow together. Most top level RnB singers are going line by line. The only issue I had punching was with dialogue because you're not going off the rhythm of the music, it's the the VO artist individual cadence. If they're good then it's musical. If they suck? Well it's gonna be a long night
Thats so inovative , he knows allot of great and rich leaders , doctors and so on . People are still going backwards , and people like that is the peak of every generation .
That’s true what he is saying. It’s good that he can relate to and know his creative space. Most people move on to the now thinking that they are moving into the future. Therefore they can’t get to where they went to go. That’s applies to music and life.-Godspeed!
No it’s because he told the story already & said I don’t write songs so some people thought he don’t write his own songs instead of listening to what he say: the man freestyle & do his verses on the spot but don’t write them down. The problem is that he has to memorize them so people typed the lyrics for him before every performances & when he created new songs, he has to google his lyrics to see if he didn’t already used that bar because he never remember.
Lmao yall are trolling right!?Starlito and Gillie The Kid are 2 Wayne ghostwriters we know of.That’s not to take from his greatness im just speaking facts on the topic
