I had a 820 SLi. Think the window beeps are because they need re setting. Probably had a low voltage issue. Owners manual will tell you how to re set them i cant remember sorry.
The previous owner said they were temperamental at times. They just stop working, you wait a minute and they work again. They didn’t stop working for me at all but what you’re saying sounds linked.
@TyredFormat think you need to press each window button on drivers door and hold button down on all the windows and possibly the sunroof and stops the beeping. Think it's to do with safety if you put hand in the glass area to stop it closing on your fingers.
Absolutely. People get teary eyed when they think of all the rare stuff they’ve scrapped over the years! Maybe as car enthusiasts we should keep them going and set an example.
@@TyredFormat I think 1990s pre-computer-electronics stuff is the sweet spot and the cars have a visceral emotive experience lost in modern vehicles, plus some reasonable performance. I wanted to say how much I appreciate the effort that went into the last video, just to give us fun watchable content - few people realise the work you put in to make a video like that. I just launched a car channel of sorts, so feel free to check it out. The effort lavished on these old gems and vids is insane but I just love them to bits - and you've given me a serious Range Rover/Rover itch now...if you have time @theroadworriers - wish me luck!
Nerd alert ! The beeping is the windows and sunroof are not 'Set' from memory, with the ignition on you need to press and hold the lower button (count to 3) then press and hold the up and count for 3. The beeping should then stop after that.
Probably about the most enjoyable video you have done yet! I do like that old Rover, looks like it would be proper nice cleaned up and never realised how bad that exhaust was till you had the window down at the till booth😂
these were cheap as chips in 2000s, i remember my dads friend picking them up weekly from the auctions, she had a rare one that she forgot to pull the handbrake up and it rolled down her drive and wrapped its rear around a gate post,
Mate loving your channel! Feel like other car loving channels are missing a trick with the big adventures now that TG & GT are no more. Great content and great adventure, well done bud.
