I don't really have a passion for cloud computing, but it doesn't prevent me from being successful in my field, and it shouldn't prevent you either. I love cloud computing as a tool, and I give it my best to bee good at it, but I don't have a passion for it, I'd much rather do other things like software development, playing video games, or creating resin art, but it's my job.

@carolinechiari I really appreciate this video. You just cleared up a mental blockage for me, I’ve been struggling with what part of tech is a passion for me. But after hearing what you said, I’m good now. I know exactly how to proceed. You brought value to my life and I can’t thank you enough. Stay blessed!

I’m only learning learning Azure because companies want the knowledge.

Same, except I prefer Azure to AWS🤣

@@carolinechiari Mind sharing why do you prefer Azure over AWS? 😃
@carolinechiari

Because Azure is better organized, more user friendly, less overwhelming. AWS was developed with code in mind, not humans, Azure was developed for humans.

It's not easy to express these feelings, as not being "passionate" about cloud or other tools is commonly seen as a negative thing. Searching for your passion and doing what you love should be a pillar in one's life. It's really cool and it enables great things, but at least at the job, the full picture of project/results/problem solving goes way beyond just tools/cloud.

Absolutely! I love using cloud to enable others to do what they love or at least serve our customers to the best of our ability.

If a perspective employer asks if you have a passion for cloud computing, a good reply is "I would call it more a passion for not dying of hunger". I thnk Azure is pretty freakin' cool - not sure if that's classed as a passion. I would rather play with Amigas all day so if it is a passion, its one of many.

I wish some employers would see it this way 😅

I mean, for so many jobs you don’t need a passion. Like when you interview for a job as a garbage man, they don’t ask if picking up trash is your passion.
