Nothing better then young people singing" I've seen the Light" to our Lord Jesus Christ. It lifts my soul, and makes me weep for all the lost youth if America.
I remember back in my Cristian college years in Idaho where our student council president also sang in a college choir like this. Seeing this group reminds me of him and all the other young people singing glory to our God. He drowned while swimming in a lake with other classmates a day before graduation. His parents were already there for his graduation. It was truly a somber ceremony with his seat empty and his graduation cap and sash on it.
Lyrics I was a seeker for light in a dark world, I looked for truth but settled for lies. I had been blinded, I couldn't see Till the Star in Bethlehem's sky opened my eyes. I have seen the Light shining in the darkness, Bursting through the shadows, delivering the dawn. I have seen the Light whose holy name is Jesus, His kingdom is forever; He reigns on Heaven's throne! There in a manger, an innocent baby; Who could believe He was the One; I can believe it, I know it's true; He changed my life; He is the light; He is God's Son! I have seen the Light shining in the darkness, Bursting through the shadows, delivering the dawn. I have seen the Light whose holy name is Jesus, His kingdom is forever; He reigns on Heaven's throne! We must tell the world what we`ve seen today in Bethlehem! He`s the promised King; we bow down and worship Him! Worship Christ The King! I have seen the Light shining in the darkness, Bursting through the shadows, delivering the dawn. I have seen the Light whose holy name is Jesus, His kingdom is forever; He reigns on Heaven's throne!
Wherever you are in your Christian walk right now, whether you are actively venturing in His daily leading or whether you have stepped back and have been silent on His calling, always remember the first time you have seen the light, the first time you have felt His touch, His grace, His forgiveness, it’s similar to the message of this song. We may have changed but He does not. His hands are still and always reaching out to us.
Nine years later and ... CBU remains my favorite. Audio quality remains the same. In nine years video quality has changed dramatically! Regardless of A/V quality, thanks campushillchurch for uploading your videos throughout all these years.
so i've hung out with the first guy that sings. he's a friend of a friend (who happens to be behind him a few rows), and super hilarious. can't wait to go to CBU. :)
Eu traduzi para o português em 2007, e foi cantada pelo coral do qual sou pianista, na Igreja Presbiteriana Independente do Cambuci, são Paulo. Está na cantata BRILHA EM NÓS. Shine On Us.
