Awesome video as usual Steve! As soon as you referenced the Momos I was with you! New wheels suit very well and should make for an easier detailing experience! Here's to the next one!!
🙏thanks buddy😊. I’m really glad to see people remember the momos as they were an awesome wheel back in the day. It’s sooo much more fun to detail now 🙏☺️
Didn’t think much to the wheels when they came out but seeing them on your stunning van has changed my mind. Really like them. Great video as ever and love the montage!
Hi Steve loving the videos buddy, Could you possibly point me in the direction of where you got your roof bars please as we are after a set for our T6. Many thanks
As soon as I saw them I thought “they look like Momo Arrows” 😂 Definitely my favourite wheel from back in the day, always wanted them for my E30 BMW but struggled to get hold of some so went for TSW Stealth, another great wheel of the time, wheels look fab Steve
🤔dude! Snap, I did exactly the same on my E30!!!! And then later I changed my stealths for a real nice new wheel called Kahn RS something RSR I think! On a 17” which was real nice too!! 🙂
So how many sets of wheels you got in the garage now?......you could have bought another van with what you've spent on wheels!... Assuming you've sold both sets of vossen? Great video by the way!
I know 😬😂. I have sold the 2 previous sets of wheels. Leaving me with 4 sets if you count the stock Davenports 🤦🏼♂️. I have said now that I will put the Vossen CV10s up for sale so then I will have winter & Summer wheels and I will keep hold of the originals as not worth selling for what they fetch I think they better off keeping as a set to sit on if ever I need one 😂😂👍
Since you asked... My guess is a new set of wheels and tyres, rather than a simple Refurb doubling as a colour change. I’ll even add to that, and guess its poor quality ditchfinder tyres, in a load rating not suitable to the van? I’ll respond / edit if I’m wrong...
Response... Yep. New wheels instead of Refurb / colour change = check Ditchfinders = check Load rating = unconfirmed. I’m sure you mentioned the van was T32, so still under regulation if so. But I can’t remember, so 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. Possibly 3/3...
2 out of 3. 😆. And you are correct it is a T32 so if the van was to be using full payload then they are not rated high enough. (I am pretty sure there is not a tyre available in a 255/35/20). However, for my own use and the purpose the van is built for it is rated for use. I kept my original stock rims for the off chance I will ever tow something heavy or carry. 👍. The style of the other wheel was just too much for me to keep clean due to the time spent on each wheel.
Hi Steve! Good looking rims!Looking awesome on your Van! The HQ has a stunning variety of good looking rims. For my T6 i'd prefer the swamper style rims.
These look great, mind if I ask if you get any rubbing on the Navis up front? I'm thinking of running these with 265s on the front, 275s on the rears. Thanks
🙏thanks. I’m not getting any rubbing on normal ride height. But the tyres have brushed the inners on a full lock on my preset low. I don’t know for sure but if your looking for a tuck the 265 might be pushing it. But I’ve not tried. If you do let me know how you get on 👍👍
@@SteveField great, I have your original Davenport wheels but t32 standard suspension on my t6, would you think the ride is a lot harsher with these bigger wheels on and I’m always carrying a full load #workvan
With Airride it’s amazing!! It’s better than any other option ! The ride height you see in the final montage is the sweet spot and I can cruise all day with the family whilst sipping a Frappuccino 🤣👌👌
Hi Steve great video bud , I’m looking at coilovers for mine air rides just a bit to much for me £ wise . But can you tell me what height yours drives @ . When I get that sorted I’m thinking navis in bronze 🤙🏻
🙌Thanks buddy. And yes the Vossens are a mint wheel!! I never fell out with the looks only the looking after as it takes so long to detail the properly. 😏. More content with the van coming soon 👍
Hi Nigel, I do and I have but I don’t currently have any up for sale. I can recommend any wheels from the Navis collection as they are engineered with the transporter in mind! Check out “Naviswheels”
The black alloys are my winter alloys, they are Cades Hera 20" 20x9J Et38 and tyres are 255 x 35 x 20. this set up bolts directly on and requires no extra mods on mine 👌
Thanks dude 🙏. Erm my towbar is a Witter removable neck which was installed at the main dealer on the pdi. If I was hero g one now I would get it done at a conversion place or towbar specialist as same towbar would be a lot less 👍
Sorry to pee on your bonfire but at 102, those tyres are underrated. You need a minimum of 103 for the T32. You may find your insurance invalid if you needed to make a claim.
Thanks for the info👍. For this reason I am insured with a modified van insurer with a lower rated tyre declared. So long as it’s payload is underweight it’s ok
Nice wheel. Think I'd be to worried about curb rashing them. I'm also running Air ride and I'm looking for new 20s. Is it fair to say provided I go no wider than 245/35 front, 255/35 rears I could use ET35, ET38, ET40 or ET42 on a 9J ?
@@perrygraf1974 You MIGHT get away with that on a 245 tyre but its probably best to run this by @LowdownTransporters as they are very experienced in working combo's and lows
Hi Steve, hope you are well. Im strugling to find a 255/35/20 with a load rating over 97. Any chance you could point me in the right direction. Its the biggest tyre size i can have if i hope to have solow coilovers but i would like a tyre rated for my t28. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Thomas. I will check the Tyres that I got with the silver Navis wheels from Transporter HQ when I bought them as I still have a pair around me. They were only a budget tyres but they were rated to 103 on a 255/35/20. Will come back to you👍
Thanks guys! 🙌. I am loving this look now and it so much better to detail and keep it looking fresh. Thanks again for the fastest turn around I have ever had in my life on a pallet 😂👊
Really like these but you only mention one size have you got same front and rear rim size offset etc tyre size etc gonna go for air ride later and don’t want to order wheels that won’t fit my 2013 t5 after I had air ride fitted 👍
A super upgrade Steve… agreed they look like the VW Amarok which are way way better than the ones you e taken off. Sell them and take the family away 😂
@@SteveField cheers buddy currently running 225 front and 255 back on staggered rotiforms but not happy with the load rating of 90. These look like a better solution 👍
@@SteveField I had mine in the garage the other day experimenting on tyres sizes on the front and 255 literally wouldn’t fit when lowered on rotiform rse 8.5j. Maybe time for a change 😩
My advice would be to join this group on facebook as lots of buying and selling and also many helpful people will engage with your questions... facebook.com/groups/765539033481308
