As someone whose employer is rapidly shifting to standard corporate mindset and strategies, I'm looking to get out sooner rather than later. You'll never meet their expectations as they are designed to increase in perpetuity. Push someone to the breaking point, fire them, replace them with someone cheaper who doesn't know yet, maximize profit. Rinse/repeat. Glad you got out in time and best of luck!
You don't owe your subscribers anything, as we are not paying you, so ease up on your self. Its nice that you care but don't worry about us. Thanks for posting.
You’re technically right, but you guys dedicate time to watch and engage with me so I owe you all at the very least an explanation as to why I’ve been absent.
@@chrishammillaudio Good point, thanks for the update. As to your Patron page you could run different price points for different services, the lowest tier, could be just a monthly token of our appreciation. Just a thought, love the Mustang, is it a 2010?
I can definitely do a $5 “thanks for being awesome” tier with names of all patrons in the video description. The Mustang is a 2008 GT Deluxe. Bought it with 35k miles and one previous owner. Garage kept.
I’m not a fan of the new S650s. I don’t like the huge screens and Ford locked the ECU so you can’t modify and tune. The previous S550s (15-23) are the newest I’d go, but I prefer the old school look of my gen despite not being as fast as newer versions.
Glad to see you back Chris. I know a few people that have suffered with mid management burnout and it can destroy people. Glad you are out of it and happier. Looking forward to the church mix down videos. They are some of my favourite vids on YT. Missed em. Even watched a couple of them again in your absence. lol
Hi Chris There are a.lot of churches that will pay you good for you to help them with there PA systems and you can take your time with them God will bless you and open doors for you!!!!!
Just wondered the other day, why I haven't seen a video from you for while and checked the channel if I missed something. And now you're uploading this. Nice to hear you're in a good place!
How to work run a Digital mixer I have only run Analog mixers like Yamaha PM 4k Allen & Heath 48ch Sound Craft boards I think people techs would like to pay for a step by step how to run a Digital mixer
Glad to see you well, no job is worth giving up every ounce of energy and time. Good to hear you'll be contuing the vids at least for now, as i must say they've been invaluable to me, and your answering some of the comments i have gave me the confidence to continue getting into live sound, i've now mixed a musical with wireless headsets and i'm about to mix a choir! Stay well
Welcome back! You were missed this past month. Any interest in doing sound for bands at other venues? If so, think about what you would want to charge and DM me or add it as a service on your fiver page.
Good to have you back Chris. Patreon sounds like a great idea, how about offering guys the chance to come into the booth with you at Dingbatz for an evening? Sure a lot of folk would love that. Best wishes for the future.
That’s a great idea, but anyone can buy a ticket to any show I work and hang out. I guess if I put this in a bracket that is the same admission price that could work and I’d just cover admission at the door.
It’s insane how bad real estate companies treat photographers and videographers. I worked for a guy selling houses for a bit and holy shit do they undervalue what we do! They make like $20+k off of one sale but apparently only have a $500 marketing budget? Ya ok lol
The company I worked for - you see their commercials all the time. They own just about every big name in commercial real estate and just bought a big company for 3D tours. I was well paid - six figure salary. That salary came at a very high mental cost and inappropriate ways the company treated employees.
Dealing with realtors is easy. I always can upsell them on drone images and floor plans. Theyre mostly cheap but quality always demands a higher price especially when I show them my portfolio.
Chris, you're freaking amazing. Been there done that. I fully agree on your views on the idiocracy of middle management. It kills any effective means of progression and any value that people bring to the company that isn't a hard number in revenue gets overlooked. I sincerely wish you all the best in life, enjoy what you do and by all means please avoid making youtube your "new boss".
Awesome video and update. I'm sitting here just practicing crap around my drum kit while watching this in my inears and I'm glad to hear this new venture that you have in store for your followers and soon to be followers. You obviously have the skill set to come up with content just as well as the know how in this realm of business. So best of luck to you moving forward and I would not be the slightest bit surprised if and when you blow up to the point of obtaining all your dreams and showing the world what you are made of and you're worth!
